Jiaended up, against all odds, having good karma. Like to the pointwhere I’m like “is this bugged?? no really does this game havesome sort of issue like she steals everything she can get her stickyhands on and routinely extorts people for shits”. But well I guessshe’s good aligned, if being good aligned means not really wantingto see all of Vegas and the human race collapse upon itself in a“faux-fucking tacky ass Roman nightmare” (as she will describe itto Caesar when she meets him). Generally tho she has this in commonwith Swooce, most of her “helpfulness” comes in the form of“well… I GUESS…” bc sometimes you just don’t kick someonewhen they’re down.
Jiaactively despises three sets of people: The Brotherhood of Steel, TheLegion, and The White Gloves. The Legion is pretty obvious- shewalked into Nipton like “What’s with the weird telephone po- whatthe fuckam I looking at right now?!” Likeall right man, it’s Vegas. Couriers get shot in the head, coups arestaged by fucking amateurs in tacky suits, sometimes people hirethugs to collect debts- welcome to the Wasteland kids. Crucifixionis a whole other ball game andwhat they’re playing at ain’t right. Not like she approves of theweird homage to pre-bomb fifties America that Vegas and the NCR are,but crucifixionis just fucking wrong anddressing yourself up in red and giving yourself Roman names and allthe other shit they do, that’s something else.
TheWhite Gloves fall into that same category. There’s some fucked upshit in the Wasteland, but cannibals with the audacity to play upclass systems are really reallyfuckingunnecessary. Like Jia ain’t got a BA is socioeconomics or anythingbut she’s pretty sure the class system wouldnot be improved by cannibalism.Andthey freak her out and it annoys her that they have to give her thesame goddamn eight minute long speech every time she walks in likeyesall right I will give you my weapons just shut up you baby facedfuck. Plusshe thinks it’s kind of sick because well, post-bombs people wereprobably eating each other out of necessity and it was fucked up andnow they’re doing it because they want it to be classy.
TheBrotherhood of Steel is immediately on her bad side because of howthey introduce themselves. The whole “surrender your weapons andarmour and come meet our boss” is reallyexhausting bythe time she meets them because she gets the same shit (minus thearmour) from every casino in Vegas and she just personally thinksthat okay, she’ll do it for the families on the Strip because lbrthey’re gunna be kissing her ass soon. But she don’t even knowwho the Brotherhood isandtbh she doesn’t care. Bunch of dickheads in big armour who arehoarding technology because of course they’retheonly ones who can be trusted with it. This is less of a sinsagainst humanity andmore of a youpissed me off the first time we met and have done nothing to redeemyourself.
She’sin between about the NCR and the Omertas. She doesn’t see anythingwrong with what they’re doing in theory- keeping the fuckingdangerous shits in line and providing some triple-x entertainmentrespectively. She just has major issues with how their goals arecarried out. She doesn’t think it’s necessary to conquer and thentax the shit out of the places you conquer all in the name ofproviding protection. She thinks that should be free, and she thinksit’s a littlefuckedup that merchants prefer the Legion because they actually bother toprotect caravans (unlike the NCR who allows the Crimson to activelyfuck up competition). And with the Omertas, her problem is obvious-that the girls who work there are being forcedto.She doesn’t think there would be a limited number of people willingto hire themselves up for a little hooking in post-apocalyptia, andin fact works with the Atomic Wrangler to hire up a bunch. It’sunnecessary and fucking viletoforce people into it, and she’ll have Cachino by his fucking nutsfor the rest of his life.
ShelovesTheKings, Boomers, The Chairmen, Jacobstown, The Khans, and Followers.Well, she likestheFollowers, in a sort of weird Idon’t really know what your goal here is but what you’re doing isneatsortof way.
TheKings, idk, that’s pretty much self-explanatory. She loves‘em,thinks they’re the fucking coolest, and probably does embarrassingimpersonations constantly that make Raul want to eat glass just todivert attention.
TheBoomers she thinks are just delightful and tbh she loves doingdumbass fixit shit for them- she spends forever on their solar arraysjust because goddamn finally someone is asking me to do something Iwannado.And she doesn’t use explosives a lot because well, wanna make surewe don’t accidentally blow up Raul or Arcade, so the whole boomthingis great.
TheChairmen jesus she loves ‘em because they talk funny and theyaren’t even pretending.Andit isn’t creepy like the Legion is it’s just ring-a-ding.Andshe likes that the weapons check at the front always reminds her thatif she finds any weapons she’s just gotta be lowkey, and she lovesSwank and everything is just so glitzy and exciting.
Jacobstownshe likes for the novelty of it I guess like she doesn’t spend alot of time up there but that’s where her grandma lives so it isone of the most important places on Earth. Lily is so, so importantto Jia.
TheKhans idk how she became attached to the Khans. I haven’t done muchwork on her backstory but I’m pretty sure I want it to havesomething to do with the Khans because goddamn she just loves itthere. I mean she’s also addicted to psycho and likes hanging outwith Jack and Diane, everything’s red, they all live in tents,their leader’s called PapaKhan.
Ihave modded armour for her because them shoulders just make me wannacry so. But generally she just wears normal clothes, not a lot ofarmour- she is just a Courier after all so getting shot at is sort ofa new experience for a while- but I imagine it’s probably linedwith something to make sure she doesn’t fucking die. She also has avest with The King’s logo on it because (*cough* the female modelfor the King’s armour is just the male model shrunk down which okayI get it she’s the first female King but on the other hand throw mea fucking bone here I don’t need titties and skirts but just idksomething that looks real*cough*)she’s a fucking King. Her weapon of choice is a Gla… Glatius?Whatever it’s a fucking Legion Machete that she took off a corpsebecause she likes to get up close and personal and I play on god modeso it isn’t really a problem.
