Call me crazy because while these two are VASTLY different shows (and I’ll admit I haven’t seen euphoria, I just know the spoiler’s), I still can’t help but feel Maddy and Cassie are a darker and more twisted version of samtory. (This is coming from someone who loves both Sam and Tory, don’t attack me pls I just love this story idea I’m gonna share.) and sure, maybe the traits aren’t the same, as Sam didn’t exactly “need” a man to define her worth like Cassie did, but some similarities can definitely be pointed out, such asss:

1.) Sam, like Cassie, was shown to not be the best of friends. We saw this as she would often ditch Aisha for Moon and Yas in s1- if the show wanted to go even darker then her “stealing” Miguel back, they could’ve had her backstab Tory as a friend had they become a trio at the country club or whatever it was haha.

2.) Maddy, like Tory, knew how to go about the world like she owned it. Tory was broken inside, as was Maddy, but they wouldn’t let anyone see it until they finally snapped or found out about another curveball life threw at them (aka Cassie fucking Nate and Sam kissing Miguel)

3.) Regardless of feelings, having bigger fish to fry brings these two closer together then they’d like to admit; like a death (Nate ofc for euphoria, and Kwon for ck which damn I need a fic of samtory talking about that), or fighting a common enemy (silver for ck, I guess Alamo for euphoria). They are in a tangled web that seems to never run out of strings to rip apart.

Oh yeah and the AESTHETICS YALL THEY MATCH SAM/CASSIE ALL PINK AND TORY/MADDY ALL DARK WITH BLACK/GREY
