Tadashi had known that people called the holiday season a magical time of year. As a kid, he’d understood, because, well, Santa is very magical, and he’d always loved the idea of flying reindeer. Then he found out Santa wasn’t real and the magic faded too.
But spending so much time with Hitoka, wrapping up in scarves and walking around to see all the lights, sipping hot chocolate while watching cheesy movies, and so much more. Decorating the tree was probably the most exciting. The magic was back. He felt like anything was possible, like this was going to be the best christmas ever. Best of all, when Yachi asked him for help, he felt brave.
Could Tadashi have simply taken the star and reached up to put it on the tree? Yes. But that wouldn’t be as cute. No, He had plans.
“Of course I can.” Is said innocently enough. But then Tadashi is moving over to Hitoka, placing gentle but steady hands on her waist to lift her so she can place it herself.
