The Bureau Of Earth Tourism: The Contained Explosion

In 1996, the town of Shining, NV, was faced with a crisis - a fire at a local fuel storage facility which threatened to wipe out the entire town in a massive fireball. Fortunately, quick thinking and the use of time displacement technology by the local authorities ensured that nobody was hurt! However, the blast could only be stopped in its' tracks, not removed entirely, and continues to hang over the long-abandoned town to this day. 

But it's not all bad! The explosion area has become a popular hotspot for both urban explorers and scientists looking to examine the effects of continuous doom upon the local flora and fauna. The site is now seen as a symbol of humanity's will to survive, even in the face of impending doom.

This 30 metre statue carved into the side of an Alpine peak was first discovered by a French military expedition in the 19th century. The massive shape of the granite warrior is thought to symbolise stoic wisdom in the face of death. The defining feature of the location is the three waterfalls erupting from the warrior’s face - these glacier-fed streams are thought to be the starting point of the Po - Italy’s longest river. Drew some slimes for practice and ended up making them a little fancier than I expected.
