Watching you go, for the last time (Part 1: Swiftpaw)
Brightheart and Cloudtail ❤️🩹
(featuring the little details)
Genuinely my favorite scene and why I wanted to reread this
While that is valid, I think that is the entire point of the scene. Brightheart in the first series is like the main character to watch for Firestar's growth as a leader. Going from following Bluestar's "Lostface will never be a warrior" to his own thoughts about putting trust in her and allowing her to train to finally believing she's one his top warriors is the endgame of his character arc.
Firestar giving Fernpaw to Longtail not because of the guilt of Swiftpaw's death but because he knew how well Longtail did with him and knew Fernpaw would be taken care of.

uh-huh
Whitestorm is the most consistent character and I love him so much
“All around her sat the shining warriors of Starclan…” 💫
i’ll let you in on something big
A Dangerous Path really lives up to it's name. What a fun book compared to A Storm Rising. Not in the funny haha fun way but in a this book is so chalk full of foreshadowing and metaphors and love and bravery and Fireheart taking leadership away.
Side note does anyone know if the Erins ever said they have dealt with dementia in their family? Because there were so many moments with Bluestar that were so triggering for me because I have so much first-hand experience with it as a family member. There were moments where she would yell at Fireheart, which just took me back, and the care he showed her in this book was so rewarding to me.
I absolutely adore Cloudtail and Brightheart (I will not call her that awful name) and the fact that they set them up so well that when he calls her beautiful after the attack you really understand that he feels that way.
This book was about so much growth and pain that I really felt it. It's like the moment you realize you're really an adult now.
I'm so excited for the next book because that's the one I remember the most about because of so many memorable moments.
