I started my blog back in 2015 with only an artistic dream and a handful of lewd pictures to start. I gravitated to Tumblr because well, every popular was there, and I wanted to be a part of it. The more I posted, the more I wanted that Tumblr fame, despite my artistic skills not quite reaching the level of quality I wanted. Notes got an average of 10 at best, and I continued to be overlooked. I got frustrated thinking my artistic worth was relative to likes and reblogs, which is a bad mindset to have. It wasn’t until I drew a picture for a (now very strong) friend of mine that I found the real reason to draw: making someone happy with your art. After that, I stopped putting so much stock into notes. I was having fun drawing. I met one of my idols here who showed me that you didn’t have to draw something that’s popular in order to get noticed. Having passion and drawing what you love will gravitate people who love what you draw naturally. It’s something I took to heart as I continued to draw. And through the resources and tutorials here, I improved significantly since I started. It took a few years, but I’m finally getting to a point where I can visualize what I want to draw, and I just draw it. And I know if I continue learning and growing, I’ll be even better than I am now. The friends I’ve made here are far too many to count. The pictures I’ve posted are memories I’ll cherish as well. There were times when there were huge art blocks and there were promises I failed to deliver. For everytime there were encouraging messages, I got the one hate message too. And while I’m thankful Tumblr’s usual mob mentality didn’t come for me (mostly because I wasn’t popular enough to be considered worth going after. Hah!), there were a couple of times when I had to bite back at someone who wanted to get funny with me. And you know what? I’ll cherish those moments all the same. I’ve made strides, conquered challenges, made lifelong bonds, and got to be that popular artist I wanted to be…somewhat. This may be the twilight hours of my stay here, but from the bottom of my heart, I would not be here as the artist I am today if it weren’t for all of you. So, thank you. Thank you to the artists that inspired me to keep drawing. Thank you to you my friends who stuck with me. Thank you to everyone I’ve inspired, and/or said something encouraging to me. And above all else, thank you all for being with me on this journey. I’ll still be drawing tho, don’t worry. I cannot wait to show you all what’s in store. Just not here.
