Hello, I'm Kurt Anderson-Hummel and this is where you can find out all about moi! I love everything from reality television to fashion and Broadway and everything in between. I'm a graduate of NYADA and am an Obie Award winner for best actor. I am currently co-starring in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf with my husband Blaine Anderson . We always said we were an amazing team- so this is perfect for us. I'm also in the process of designing my own fashion line, but acting is my primary focus. Don't be afraid to come talk to me . OOC Post

Those of you who have followed this blog since the beginning know that I don't like to go OOC if at all possible. However, I've gotten a few OOC asks so I want to answer them if I can  :)

Also I want to say thank you so much for still sending Kurt questions! I know I took a very long break for a while, but I recently re-watched glee and my love for Kurt grew tenfold  (not that I ever fell out of love with the character, but watching his story all over again made me miss him and miss this account and miss you guys!)

So onto the anons!

I've been kind of avoiding saying the C word, but have been talking about being safe etc. It's something that I am struggling with. Obviously the glee timeline and 2020 wouldn't mesh well, so I've sort of decided to blend the two. Yes Covid exists, as does Trump, as does the 2020 election results etc. (since Kurt already did mention it). However I am going to say the Tonys did take place and Rachel DID win. Kurt and Blaine's daughter was also born this year, so of course I've mentioned that as well. I hope this isn't too confusing to you guys!

Thank you all for loving this Roleplay so much! It means the world to me! I was the Co-Admin for Talking Gleeks and it really wouldn't feel right for me to continue TG without Jacqui! She was the one who started the whole RP and she was the best Blaine I could have asked for. Honestly, I wouldn't feel right roleplaying with another  Blaine in TG (However, I am interested in rping in other groups or in 1x1s, so if anyone wants to roleplay, please message me off anon).

So I am going to continue roleplaying as Kurt here and throw in little tidbits about Blaine, their family and friends.

However- if there is anyone I did rp with in the past on TG please message me off anon and we will see what we can do with Kurt corresponding with the characters. I do miss the group after all and would love for Kurt to have some friends :)

 I don’t know. I’ve talked to her every now and then, but I don’t know if she wants to come back to the roleplay world.  She, honestly, was the best Blaine I’ve every played with and like I said above it just really wouldn’t feel right to play with anyone else. If she ever did decide to come back, I would be ecstatic.  I’ve been going through our accounts and she really had such a great grasp on Blaine. I loved our Klaine so much :)

If you have any more questions for me OOC, please try to message me off anon! If not I will try to pin this post if possible. Tumblr has changed a lot since I last left it!

Hey Kurt, I need some advice, how do you deal with small-minded bigots? I came out as non-binary (they/them) at school about 2 months ago, and since then, I’ve been constantly misgendered, so I bought a pronoun pin, and have been wearing it for about 3 weeks, but nothing has changed. There are about 4 people at my school who actually use the correct pronouns for me, and I know that you haven’t been in this exact situation, but do you have any advice?

There will always be people who don’t or refuse to understand you. There will always be bigots. I think buying a pronoun pin is a pretty in-your-face way to deal with it aside from constantly having to tell everyone which pronouns you prefer. 

As annoying as it is, some people just will never understand.  As much as it angers you, you’ll need to get to a point where you realize that they don’t matter.  Those small-minded people who refuse to broaden their horizons are going to live a life full of judgement because this world is changing. The LGBTQ+ community is not going away, and each time another person comes out or someone speaks their story it’s going to be that much harder for these bigots to deny people who they really are.

I’m not saying you should do nothing- I’m saying you should live your life proudly- and screw them. Screw whoever thinks they know better than you and screw those people who refuse to acknowledge you because history will not be on their side.  

Live your true life as your true self and if they can’t handle how fabulous you are then they’re a little bit out of luck, aren’t they?

Hey Kurt, this may be an odd question, but have you ever questioned your gender? In the binary and straight world that we live in, both femininity, and being attracted to men are often grouped in with being a woman, and my attraction to women, and more masculine traits were what led to be questioning my own gender (I’m non-binary and use they/them pronouns), so you know I was just wondering.

Hi there.

I haven’t ever questioned my own gender, no.  I’ve always knew I was a male that was attracted to other males, despite the fact people would either call me a girl or lady.  It’s almost as if I got used to it after a while and just let people call me that, because what was the point in fighting?  Closed-minded bullies, for the most part, won’t open their eyes. In recent years, however, I’ve definitely talked about it more- especially since I started working with the children at The Harvey Milk School.  The administration allows the children to be who they want without any outside influence.   

I have no problem being a male that typically likes what the world would deem as feminine. There’s such a toxic masculinity in this world, still, that doesn’t “allow” for men to be feminine. Just like there are people in this world who don’t understand gender non-binary or trans people or even gay people, still.  The LGBTQ community will always have to keep working and keep educating because there will always be people who don’t understand that there isn’t just “gay” or “straight.” 

I’m very happy you’ve been able to accept who you are, and I hope you know I’m here for you.

Hey Kurt, I’m wondering if you own a sequined blazer, and if not, why not??

I have this amazing black Alexander McQueen that has gold sequin around the shoulders.  It has this really intricate design that flows down the chest and the back of the neck.  I wore it to the Obie Awards a few years ago.

Hey Kurt, I was pretty upset to hear what you thought about bisexual people, especially bisexual men, please tell me that you got yourself educated. I’m sorry if that sounds rude, I’m just tired of the blatant biphobia within the queer community.

I think I’ve expressed this on my blog in the past, but it was probably years ago, so I don’t expect you to go and find it. I think at the time I said that I was more upset about the Blaine of it all.  I definitely don’t think that bisexuals don’t exist, I know quite a few of them. 

So no, you weren’t being rude.  I was being rude, and I was wrong. That’s something that a heartbroken teenager said because the person he wanted more than anything didn’t even look his direction (oh how things change).

Hey, Kurt, how’s your year been so far?

Hi there! Well, seeing it started yesterday it’s been pretty good.  We’ve been lazing around the house and spending time with my dad and Carole. They’ve been such a tremendous help with Audrey.  

Unfortunately there’s not much to do right now but spend time together.   I will say I’m very well rested and very happy to be able to spend time with family.

Oh no. Definitely not Sam’s abs. I poked them once, though because he was complaining about eating a cupcake during his model days.

Have you seen Pam for the holiday?

We haven’t, unfortunately.  Pam is planning to visit in February for Blaine’s birthday (but shhhh it’s a secret!)  She’s going to take some time off to visit and meet her grandbaby face to face.  

She tells us every time we talk she’s too young to be a grandma. I guess that’s true, but she still spoils Audrey rotten.

What does it feel like to touch a six pack? I’ve never touched one before but would love to (especially sams 😋😉😂)

I feel like people have some weird obsession with body parts in my ask box because I have questions about six packs and biceps, not to mention other more covered parts. 

I’ll be sure to pass that message onto Sam, but I assure you it’s not an earth shattering experience.

I hope you all had a great Christmas (so far), when do you think Christmas is really over 😭 I like to feel in the Christmas spirit until at least the new year, so I think Christmas films are still acceptable for the next few days 😂

Thank you, Anon.  I’ve had a great Holiday.  My dad and Carole are leaving tomorrow so it’s a bit bittersweet, but it was a much needed visit.  Blaine and I were able to recharge a little.  They always tell you how when you have a child you’ll miss your sleep schedule, and I never truly believed that until Audrey was born.  Now I understand you sleep when she sleeps. Which isn’t often these days. 

Our tree is still up, but we have plans to take it down this evening.  We always took it down either on New Years day or the day after when I was younger.  Out with the old and in with the new.  

So, watch as many Christmas movies you want! (to be honest, I sometimes watch them in July if they’re on Hallmark).

How was your Christmas, Kurt?

Christmas was good!  My dad and Carole quarantined so they could come and visit.  They got tested last weekend and got their results the day they left for New York- thankfully negative. They didn’t want to miss Audrey’s first Christmas. 

Carole and I  had control of the kitchen, but Blaine and my dad did try to come in and help (well, my dad tried to rip into the turkey right when Blaine pulled it out of the oven if that constitutes as helping). They did watch the football game that was on yesterday, but for the most part we just enjoyed each other’s company.  

They’re still here, but they are leaving next week.  I guess we’re lucky they were able to come visit when so many people haven’t been able to spend time with loved ones. 

We all wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Did Finn ever tease you about you having a crush on him?

I don’t think tease is the right word.  He did say something once when Rachel, Quinn, and I were all in the same room about everyone in the room at some point thinking he was hot. 

To which, Rachel beamed and Quinn and I just looked at each other and rolled our eyes. 

There were little things like that, but he never really teased much. I think there was an understanding between us that the crush I had on him was in the past and we didn’t really want to talk about it.  It wasn’t a good time in my life.  I was just coming out and I was also extremely jealous of the relationship that Finn and my dad had. 

So once I got over that, it was sort of a silent understanding that we wouldn’t bring it up again. We had moved past it- we were brothers. We still had our fights, but in the long run we had each other’s backs.

I know I sort of got off subject, but ‘tis the season.  I always tend to think of Finn and my mom during the holidays.
