I just turned 14 last month and I'm 5"10-5"11 my mum is 5"7 and my dad is 6"1. How much (do you personally think) I will grow??? Love your blog! I'm short compared to most of you so I hate to complain but yeah. Thanks 🙃

Depends on how early you started puberty! Most girls finish around 15 and that’s when you stop growing :) Embrace the journey, you are beautiful!

I'm 15 and 5'10. Yes, I have the "body of a volleyball player". No, I do not play volleyball or even want to. Please stop telling me this.

When they give you the large athletic clothes in gym bc your legs are long enough, but you still look like you are wearing a trash bag bc you can be both tall and tiny at the same time

whenever i tell people how tall i am (5’11 according to my doctor and a measuring tape), they’re always like “no way because so and so is this height!”. i’ve stopped telling people how tall i am after being embarrassed in my freshman class. it was the first day (ironic and cliche, i know) and i was forced to move because someone behind me couldn’t see. i didn’t mind moving since this happened often. i told the teacher and she switched me with another tall girl (why did she do that, i don’t know). the girl was about 5’9 and a sophomore that played volleyball. when we stood next to each other, everyone gasped and started asking me questions. naturally, the main one was how tall i was. i hesitated but answered honestly. the teacher said no because some other guy was allegedly the same height as me. she told him to stand and he did so next to me. the guy was about an inch or so shorter, not a dramatic difference but enough for the class to notice. so once again, they hounded me for my “real height”. i sort of laughed uncomfortably because they thought i was lying. the other girl caught wind of it and said she wanted to sit down. she sat in her seat, i sat in mine and the guy sat in his. i wasn’t humiliated terribly, but nowadays i just say that i’m not sure of my height.

I am 6’3 as a 14 year old girl and this is my story.

I hated getting catcalled by men while walking down the street at age 10 because I was tall enough to be 16. I hated being offered seats by men at bars in restaurants that I went to with my family as a twelve year old because I was tall enough to be 18. The worst part about this is that I had a baby face. The only thing that made me look old was my height, but these men thought that because I was the right size for an adult, nothing else mattered. But the worst part of my experience as a tall girl was when I was walking our dogs with my mother in the summer before eighth grade, at age 12, and was whistled and yelled at by a man driving by. I wanted to flip him off, or yell, but my mother grabbed my hand and told me to just say silent. She told me to never respond when someone catcalled me, because if I responded negatively they could hurt me, or take me, and nothing has scared me more. The fact that these men felt entitled to comment on my body, the body of a twelve year old girl, disgusted me. And it wasn’t just that. I still am outraged by the fact that people feel like they have the right to comment on my body, or anyone else’s, at all. Would you walk up to someone, and say “Wow. You’re really fat.”? No, because that would be considered as extremely rude. But you are doing the same thing you would do there when you come up to me and talk about my height. Those little, offhand comments, whether by strangers looking to objectify me, or classmates “just making an observation” hurt. They tell me that I am weird, some sort of freak.

My boyfriend is about an inch or two shorter than I am, as I stand at 5'9-5'10, it's difficult sometimes, to get over the stares in public, I feel bad for feeling this way, I mean I truly love him and I love being with him, it's just sometimes hard to get over the height difference. With this being said, I am getting more confident about my height because of this relationship, he loves that I'm tall, saying that he is over dating short girls (his back hurts when he bends over to hug short girls). I'm excited to say that we've been together for almost 6 months now, and are planning to go to prom together (I won't be wearing heals, which honestly I don't mind cuz ouch), idk, going through these types of blogs and seeing the struggles and triumphs of girls going through similar situations is really great, tall girls have to know they aren't alone in this, and just think of all the models who stand at and above 5'9!!! Short girls wear heals to get to our level ;)

So about a month ago, I went to the mall in hopes of finding jeans, and after a few hours I finally did! American Eagle makes jeans in long and extra long sizes. They are a bit expensive (I believe that mine were about $50-$60) but you can usually get them on sale, and they are really good quality and fit really well! If there is a pair that you like that they don't have in long sizes, they will order it for you and they are super helpful. I will never buy jeans from anywhere else again.

How should you respond when someone says "I feel so short around you"? I GET SO STUCK WHEN THIS HAPPENS XD. I always end up making the situation worse.

I feel like 5"7-8 it's a very standard ( average)height, under that it's short and above its tall. I mean just in my opinion. I'm 5"8 and I don't feel so tall or at least because my 2 best girlfriends are 5"10-11. Any ways I feel you guys with the shoes sizes. It's a real struggle.

I have lots of short friends (like 5') and I'm 5'6" so I always have to look down to talk to them. Once a teacher actually teased me about it. What a jerk!

We are both soldiers and i stand a solid 6inches above him at 6ft. Height has never been an issue to us.

When people with size 9 feet complain about how "few" choices they have in shoes, when you get to choose between 10 pairs- 9 of which are old-lady style heels.

I met the 6'10 guy when I went to tour the college I first met him at (he goes there), I was soooo happy when I saw him again and it was all a blur seeing him again and I am cheesin’ pretty hard in the after photo 😂

New York and Company is a girl's best friend.

NY&CO has excellent tall bottoms. I just wish the prices weren't so high. If you can catch them on sale, go wild. I just bought some work slacks from them.
