late night rambling about the latest art

I finished reading witch hat and took a lot of stylistic inspiration from the manga panels and shirahama’s work which I’m sure can be seen in the lineart and hatching all over the place

also looked at some religious paintings and the sorts too for formatting with the borders and the paneling which had little scenes in them, thought that was neat

it was fun trying out some new stuff and I want to try and keep doing that

#not that anyone asked or cared but i do and it’s my house #sorry i am just very happy with how it came out and excited to have enjoyed making it #here’s to hoping i can keep drawing it’s been so long

I'd love to see bookwyrm dressed in her favorite outfit doing smth relaxing if you'd like, I just adore her sm! isk if you've answered this question before, but how did you come up with the idea and design for her?

just putting her in her default sweater and skirt <3 I think she likes the greens and browns

and I know it'll be a disappointing answer but I kind of just came up with her on a whim while I was traveling, I love the idea of dragons hoarding books and decided to be a bit indulgent and make her dragongirl she was originally going to have a girlfriend too but I never came up with any good ideas for that </3

her clothes were very no thought too and it shows in comparison to ones I actually referenced haha
