Kaito is my favorite! I wish the sequel had checked back in on him. Imagine if he ended up falling for a vampire (I ship him with Maria❤️they're a softer reflection of Zeki). Zero would absolutely grill him for being a hypocrite!

Hello!!! I promise I didnt forget about this anon, I was just away for awhilleeee visiting family but I’ll answer! Ngl, I low key had an identity crisis like “who DO I like the most outside the main cast????”

I deadass did think about it and I always came back to Ichijo!

Idk there’s just something about him that’s always been so bubbly and sweet that I loved. Also his whole arc with Sara was interesting??? (Also kinda badly written imo, I get it was an exploration of his own “did I like Kaname because he was a pureblood and being with Sara makes me realize that?” But it kinda just felt like an excuse to write him out for that whole segment. Same with what was happening with Rido and Shiki and how he was on opposing sides with Kaname).

BUT BEFORE ALL THAT, his happy go lucky demeanor and enjoyment and how he teased Aidou was very silly.

But Kaito omg? He was so pretty and interesting too! He came into the story late, I think he had some interesting lore in the novels I need to read BUT HIM WITH MARIAAA? STOP, THE DRAMA. THE ANGST. yes. We need more vampire hunters falling for what they’re supposed to hunt LOL.

I think Kaito would be so sweet on her. Definitely softer and more in love/affectionate since I know Zeki is pretty restrained 😤

rereading the start of my favorite arc (before everything went terribly wrong sob) and I do enjoy the angst of seeing ur situationship (lmfao).

I still cannot believe they handled it as gracefully as they did because I would've been LOOSSSINGGG my mind inwardly. I wish we could've gotten more on their thoughts during this!!!

So I recently went to visit my sister this past week and she had a box of my old vk manga when I was younger!!! (Assortment of volumes from Walden bookstore that I could afford on my teenage allowance way back when)

But her giving me back my vk books means I bought multiple copies of fleeting dreams and the fanbook for nothing because she had them stored away 💀 (aka I bought one to store and one to manhandle. Now I just have 3 fanbooks bruh).

BUT LOOK LOOK!! TO THE BOTTOM LEFT - that's my first ever vampire knight book I ever bought lol. It was printed back in 2006 apparently.

I was interested in comparing it to my nicer current full vk set!!! Mostly because I know prices have changed and would you look at that?

Manga used to be 8.99 (sigh). Now its 11.99 💔

I am interested in acquiring the rest of the series second hand tho so I can flip thru those whenever I please. But what a trip down memory lane

I have other manga in the box she lent me, all random.
