"And if I promised you it would be no extra trouble at all?"
"Then I would have no choice but to admire your generosity and determination," he mused.
"Then you have no choice because I'm not taking back my offer to help you,"

"And if I promised you it would be no extra trouble at all?"
"Then I would have no choice but to admire your generosity and determination," he mused.
"Then you have no choice because I'm not taking back my offer to help you,"
“That does seem like you’d be going to an awful lot more trouble.”
"And if I promised you it would be no extra trouble at all?"
In Priam Books
“Me? No, I don’t work here. I just linger sometimes like a loving sort of nuisance. But I can point you in the direction of someone if you need help.”
"Oh, I'm sorry for my assumption. If you linger here as you say, do you know the owner or do you just love books that much?"
Well I must say...
"You put the rest of us to shame tonight."
"Ah, then you must not yet have seen Bess,"
"I think you're selling yourself short."
"Truly I do not think I have ever been accused of that before,"
"What the actual fuck was that?"
"What was what?" she asked looking around
“I do find you very charming to be sure. But now what ought I do with you?”
"You could dance with me?"
Out Clubbing
"Dance with me,"
"Oh! Was I playing too loudly?"
"No! I'm so sorry for interrupting. It's just you're playing is so beautiful,"
"Very well guessed," Tamsin replied. Though she supposed there was a bit of a family resemblance so that might have helped. "Oh, well thank you for letting me know in any case. I must have read her message wrong. Would I be bothering you if I hung out here till she's back?"
She chuckled a little at his dungeon comment. "It is a pleasure to meet you Lucas. I'm Tamsin,"
"Maybe it's my new party trick. Guess the relative... I think people do that on YouTube." Lucas' focus was drawn back to her as she spoke again. He looked around a bit, feeling equally thankful and guilty that he seemed to be the only one in their department there at present. "Uh... yeah, sure. I mean, if it won't bore you to tears to be stuck down here. You know, it being devoid of sunlight and everything. I even get a bit sick of that."
"Nice to meet you too, Tamsin." Lucas was a bit out of practice dealing with women, apart from Darcy and Livvy who were so like sisters that he basically forgot their gender at the end of it all. But now there was a cute girl standing in front of him and he felt worse than useless. He moved to grab one of his coworker's chairs and brought it over to his desk area. "You can sit there if you want. They're all on lunch for the next while anyways."
"It would certainly be a very niche party trick," she said, the amusement evident in her voice. Tamsin followed his gaze as he glanced around the room. It was quite dark she had to admit. Being stuck down here seemed unfair on any department she thought, but especially one that wasn't going out on patrols. "I can imagine how you might," she mused of his final comment. "But," she continued, her gaze returning to him, "I think I can deal with it for a while, and I doubt I shall be bored since I have you for company. As long as I won't be distracting you if you're meant to be doing something?"
Tamsin gave him a bright smile as he offered her the chair. "Merci," dropped her bag on the floor she sat, neatly folding one leg over the other. "Why are you not on lunch too?"
Tamsin tried not to laugh, "You have my apologies, truly,"
Darcy caught the edge of a laugh in the other woman's features. "You're enjoying it a little too much to be sorry, I think."
"I can be sorry and still find it a little amusing, no?"
A brighter smile spread over her features, "Oui, is it so obvious?" she asked, walking further into the room.
His instinctual response was to say that her aunt was beautiful too, so it only made sense, but he held his tongue. "We can call it a lucky guess," he settled on, offering her a small smile of his own. "I think she's still out on patrol with Halstead, but they'd be en route back... if memory serves. I'm not really the one they keep up to date with that sort of thing."
"I'm Lucas. IT and Cyber Unit lackey, hence the dungeon." He gestured around them to the basement room.
"Oh, no. I was actually just looking for my aunt,"
"Aunt?" Lucas looked at the girl more closely then, somewhat unintentionally giving her a full once-over. "Oh, Bonnaire?" It was a half guess, but she did look like the detective.
A brighter smile spread over her features, "Oui, is it so obvious?" she asked, walking further into the room.
"Oh my fucking gosh!" Darcy caught her breath for a moment. "You really know how to scare the shit out of a person, you know that?"
Tamsin tried not to laugh, "You have my apologies, truly,"
At the Station
"Yeah... if it isn't something to do with technology, I'm not the one to report things to."
"Oh, no. I was actually just looking for my aunt,"
