I know on hockeyblr we mostly focus on Brandon Tanev as babygirl, as Turbo, as a Good-time Guy, but dude!

The penny finally dropped while I was watching Game 1 that there’s a small (but greater than zero) chance of an all-Canadian Stanley Cup final with two Tanevs!

I’m here for that narrative.

Tonight’s game decides if there’s any chance of an All-Canadian Final.

Of course, the Teams That Are Not Edmonton are all from the Sun Belt, who do better than expected for places where it doesn’t often naturally get below the temperature at which water freezes.

That is to say, as someone from the US I’m still rooting for an all-Canadian Final.

It’s spite at this point. Spite and the hope that if a Canadian team wins there won’t be any White House visit.

Haha no he’s still a kraken. I forget he has a brother but he’s still with Dallas I think

There are in fact 3 Tanev brothers; Chris is now a Maple Leaf. To the best of my knowledge, youngest brother Kyle does not play hockey professionally.
