So Ch 20 of the manga is out. The Gandors only show up in the background of one panel - in which they are dead - and despite his corpsitude Keith still manages to endear me to him even MORE. I thought that was not possible, and yet here we are. 

It’s a really small detail, one that people might easily miss on the first read-through, since the focus of the panel is Ennis and Firo Prochainezo’s corpse.

….so, if you look at the Gandors’ corpses, you can see that Keith’s hand is on Luck’s back. 

Oh my goodness.

That hurts. 

If you remember, the last thing saw of him in Ch. 19 was him calling out Berga’s name as his younger brother was gunned down. It looked like he was reaching out his hand, preparing to move. I’d thought at the time that he was reaching out to Berga/running to him, but with this…

…it seems to me that either he was trying to reach Luck in time in order to protect him (maybe shove him out of the way of the bullets?) or that maybe they were gunned down together and Keith was trying to comfort him in their last moments.  Since Keith is on top of Luck I assume Luck was gunned down just before him. 

Yeah, looking at Keith’s position again - including the tilt of his head - it seems to me that he was either trying to comfort Luck just before they died – or, maybe Luck was already dead and this was Keith reaching out to hold on to his brother’s corpse in his last moments. 

Whatever it was…

…

…basically all theories lead to one conclusion, which is that Keith is too good and he is everything.

Also - hurray for Shinta Fujimoto’s existence. @shinta-fujimoto didn’t have to draw that - didn’t have to include a little extra detail/bonus like Keith’s hand on top of Luck’s back, but he did. We’re so lucky to have him, Shinta is amazing, end of story.
