Fairy Tale Fortune Cards
Someday I'll make a series of pretty aesthetic tarot posts where I use the same filter and actually try to follow photography rules. But in the mean time, I found this picture so I'm sharing it.
i couldn’t sleep, so i made a Pusheen Tarot Deck. all art comes from the official pusheen tumblr, i just spent ~1 hour photoshopping.

inspired by the NEKO ATSUME TAROT DECK
This is adorable.
*face melts* this is everything I never knew I always wanted

GIMMEEEEE
How do you play tarot solitaire? Do you take the major arcana cards out? Do you consider two suits black and two suits red, or are they all different? I'm just curious. ^_^
These are the rules I used. Pretty easy. Swords and Wands vs Cups and Pentacles for red & black. You have extra rows for the Majors, which you actually split. Four columns of Minors, just like playing cards, two columns Majors. One Majors column is Fool through Wheel of Fortune (the Fool is the ace though, so you would stick that up in the ace row when you came across it) and the other Majors Column is Justice through The World (with Justice or whatever is card 11 as the ace for that column).
Check out the link up in the first sentence. It’s pretty easy to figure out…but a lot harder to win!
I might play it again with a deck and take some useful pictures. I have some from last month with the Housewives Tarot hiding in my archive.
ETA: I meant 7 columns for the minors, 2 columns for the majors. Solitaire fail!

im charlotte and i thought it was best to start all this with an introduction. i started my divination with playing cards and then i got quite in depth with astrology and runes. then my friend bought me a tarot deck and ive been developing ever since. i thought it’d be quite helpful for me to have a blog like this to help me as well as you guys so here it is. ask me things and i will do my best to answer thankyou! 🔮🌵✨
Hi Charlotte 🙌🌟
I've been watching this artist for this deck for months and I'm stoked to see its shipping this month. 🙌
Robin Wood Tarot
Ugh tarot. Why do you do this to me. Ughhhhh.
Day 1 of the Tarot and Music challenge by @maria_mextli - I’ve chosen Crawling by Linkin Park for the Nine of Swords. This song sums up my interpretation of this card pretty well, especially this verse.
“There’s something inside me that pulls beneath the surface Consuming, confusing This lack of self control I fear is never-ending Controlling I can’t seem To find myself again My walls are closing in (Without a sense of confidence I’m convinced That there’s just too much pressure to take) I’ve felt this way before So insecure”

Omg that's too perfect
yes i understand it! i think i worded that incorrectly, what i meant that i feel like the enchanted tarot is... really kind for the querent/reader? it never goes gloomy or really bad but it just gives really gentle advice, i hope that is easy to understand? or maybe i am such a weak person because i am always terrified my cards will tell me that i am going to die soon
Okay I think I follow now! oh you’re not a weak person, I promise <3 lots of folks are put off by fear of the unknown, it’s a very natural, human thing. No judgment here!
I’d check into the Tarot of Trees, personally. I’ve seen other people recommend decks by Paulina Cassidy, personally I’m not a fan of that art, but it comes across as quite gentle and innocent. Mostly, though, I use my Gilded Tarot for situations where I’m anxious or don’t want to hear anything too bad - like, I specifically use it when I need a more gentle read. I found working with it quite easy and most of my RL friends who visited me and said they struggled with tarot ended up grabbing a copy of this deck after they liked using it. (It’s also a deck I hand off to anyone who wants to learn how to read but doesn’t know where to start, and I can’t say that about any of my other decks.)
But I think you said you had that one already, unless I misread/am not remembering properly? ^_^
Do you have an opinion on the Prisma Visions deck? It's one I've been looking at for a long time now, and I'm going to get it eventually, so I'm curious what others think of it.
I personally don’t have much of an opinion besides it has been on my wish list for a LONG time but I’ve not made it a priority to get my hands on. I have seen others posting about it and lusted after it pretty intensely, and I’ve heard good things about it!
I invite anyone who HAS this deck to reblog with their opinions about it, too :)
I often feel drawn to keep labradorite and rainbow moonstone with my decks. Do you have a preferred stone or crystal you like to keep with your own decks and why?
oh, I LOVE both of those stones! I used to keep clear quartz exclusively with my decks, and then for a while I’d cycle them through resting with this long selenite wand I have (OLD pic here) if I felt they needed a good cleansing. But these days, I actually don’t keep stones with my decks. I moved around so much that decks kept with crystals actually were damaged, so I try to be really careful about them.
I also have ended up cleansing my cards less and less, and I find I really personally feel it’s only necessary to do it when the cards are new, or if I have leaned on them pretty heavily through a rough patch. ^_^
i have gilded tarot and i love it! its really smooth in laying it down and i love the vibrant colors. by good energy i mean these decks that seem to be created from a place of love, like the enchanted tarot, which is my favourite - ive never really had a negative reading with it
oh wow, I thought that would make your question easier to answer but honestly after I read it a couple of times, I realized.. most artists or creators probably put decks together from a place of love, or determination. The process of creating a tarot deck can be really transformational so what starts off as love can change. I feel like I’m being super philosophical here, I’m sorry! Does that help at all? XD
on a live-broadcast note, I think I might be doing Blab instead of Periscope, because I can do blab from the laptop, so it’s kinda like Tinychat in a sense, but I was recommended to use Blab by my local social media club. Apparently the tech folk really like it.
If my husband decides to spend some time playing video games, I might set one up so that we can do a live chat.
I need to go through my decks again and make a list of stuff I have which I plan to keep, and decks I need to rehome.
what are decks that ooze with good energy?
oooh well, it depends on what you feel is “good” energy :) I have some decks I personally LOVE that others are repelled by. I suppose it’s pretty individual, and it probably depends on what sort of mood you approach your decks with. For example some days I feel more drawn to “gentler” decks and other days I need some tough love, you know what I mean?
I really love my copy of the Gilded Tarot, and also the Legacy of the Divine Tarot. Hmm... other ones that I own or have worked with might be the Crystal Visions Tarot, oh and the Tarot of Trees! Those are ones I’d recommend looking into, but those are my personal preference ^_^
Is it weird that I feel like I have to cast a circle of protection before doing a reading on myself because otherwise the reading is garbled or unreasonably negative?
no, that’s not weird at all! I think I know a few people who started that way. I think often we feel like we need to follow a certain established procedure to get started, and then we develop a feel for what we really jive with and what we don’t. Do what you feel like doing :D
