“Okay nat can be our tester, and then all the cookie dough we can eat.” Darcy told him happily it sounded like a good idea, plus the idea of the waiting cookie dough was enough of a motivator for her not to be afraid. plus the super cute PJs that she knew Clint would crack up when he saw.

“So where’s Nat? I want to get this over with and maybe find something to hide behind so she doesn’t get super protective and kill me just for the fun of it.” Darcy told him she believed him when he said that Nat probably wouldn’t hurt her but she still felt it would be safe to do so, this was her best friend aftre all.

“So what movies are you thinking to start off the night?”

“Hey! I do not always do something stupid” Clint playfully nudging Darcy with his shoulder as they started back towards the compound. “I haven’t done anything stupid in months, or at least nothing stupid enough that Steve got his panties in a twist and gave me a lecture.” The lectures were enough to make Clint think twice before doing something risky during assignments. There were only so many times he could be warned against it because he was one of the more vulnerable members of the team whatever the hell that was supposed to mean.

“Nat? I’ve got a pretty good idea where she’ll be. She said something about Maria Hill and new intel, so they’ll be well on the way to creating a new diplomatic incident by hacking the confidential files of some corrupt government somewhere. Y’know, the usual Nat stuff.” He curled his arm a little tighter around her shoulders and kissed her temple, a little act of reassurance to quell any nerves she may have. “You don’t have to worry about Nat, trust me. She’s not as scary as everyone says she is. She’s kind of a dork deep down. She just hides it well.”

Clint slipped his phone from his pocket and fired off a quick text to Natasha to let her know he was heading over, usually he just dropped by unannounced but this time he thought he should give her a heads up. “Tonight, well I’ve got a couple of movies in mind, both pretty damn awful, maybe one or two stars on Netflix’ ratings, and nothing that’s gonna stop you from sleepin’ for the next week.”

Darcy smiled and leaned a little closer to him "Perfect," Darcy told him laughing a bit she felt a lot more relaxed knowing he would be here with her and that maybe Maria would be there too, Natasha intimidated her being the whole best friend/partner/possible ex/ ASSASSIN. when they got to Nat's place she smiled her nerves coming back as she took clint's hand and squeezed it

"Hey are you busy tomorrow?" Darcy asked him curiously "I'm volunteering to take my little cousin's first grade class to the aquarium and there is room for another chaperone?" When Darcy got nervous she tended to talk a lot and some how the trip came to her mind "It'll be fun. You, me, a bunch of colorful fish and other sea creatures. We can even go to the little kid part and touch the starfish and stuff."

Or something similar.” Natasha glanced at Darcy’s vitals, nodding slightly at what she saw. She turned back the the brunette and smiled slightly. “Are you okay otherwise?”

"I think so," Darcy told her smiling a little bit "I think next time I should stick with my taser, guns don't seem to be my thing." Darcy tried to laugh but it just hurt her throat more, she reached up touching her throat gingerly before she looked around "Can you hand me my ice water please?"

“I figured. but she’s not gonna get jealous and like, thigh choke me in my sleep right?” Darcy asked him she was only half joking she very much expected a threat about breaking Clint’s heart and her head ending up in a blender or something horrifying like that. “Because I would rather not die, though that sounds like quite the way to go.” she laughed a bit when he mentioned the PJs she smirked a bit

“Close but no cigar, I’m kind of afraid I might just disappoint you now.” she teased him she returned his kiss and smiled wrapping her arms around his waist as she looked up at him, the alone time was always nice, it sometimes got hard for her to just sit in a room with him and pretend nothing was happening between them. It had gotten a lot harder to not hold his hand or ruffle his hair or something cute and well romantic. “Do you think this time around we should try actually cooking the cookies or should we stick with eating the stuff raw?” Darcy asked him curiously ok usually it was her who ate the cookie dough, just a childish habit that she developed because she was pretty sure close to no one ever had gotten salmonella poisoning from cookie dough.

“I don’t know who i’m going to tell yet, I can’t tell Jane because if she knows Thor knows and if he knows everyone knows. I might try Wanda some how I sense lots of death threats coming my way because of all the heroes.” Darcy told him with a nervous laugh looping the conversation back to their little friendship test, this was going to be a very long day wasn’t it? at least she had movie night to look forward too. 

“Oh are you going to try staying over tonight or do you still think someone will track you down?” Darcy asked him curiously getting her mind off of his all powerful friends that could crush her like a grape if they felt the need.  “I just want to know if I should set the bed up for two people or one I’ve got a system so I can still have the perfect amount of pillows either way.” Darcy told him smirking a little ok usually when they managed to get a sleep over she used him as her pillow but it was still effective.

Clint laughed when she mentioned Nat and what she might do. “Aw no, you don’t have to worry about Nat.” he curled his arms around her shoulders, toying with her hair. “We were over a long time ago, and I know she has this sure scary reputation, but she’s. well, she’s kind of a dork.” he could say that, she was his best friend and had been for years, he knew her better than anyone, maybe with the exception of Bucky.

“Hey, I have a idea. Why don’t we both tell Nat. She can be our test subject. What d’you think? We tell Nat, then we stock up on cookie dough and head to your place, shut off our cell phones after ordering take out, and stay there until tomorrow.” He had what he thought was the perfect plan, regardless of the outcome when they told Nat about them. If it went well, they could plan what to do next, if not, they could lay low for the rest of the night and spend some time together without anyone getting all weird about it.

“Look, whatever happens, I’ve got no plans to walk away. I know I don’t have the best track record,” Nat, Bobbi, and Jess to name a few “but I don’t want you worry about me doin’ something.. stupid.”

D arcy shook her head a bit sighing "No I'll ruin your present with my milk shake hair. And no they don't actually have slushie machines at high school I always wondered where those kids got the slushies actually." Darcy told her frowning a bit "Unless you want to duck into a store with my credit card and get me something. No manager in their right mind would let me in right now." Darcy said with a small laugh she was trying to put a positive spin on this it could have been worse she could have hit her.

That’s pretty awful.” Darcy told him frowning as she took her glasses off he seemed pretty shocked about the Santa Claus revelation, she’d maybe wait to tell him about the tooth fairy until another day.

Are Terran kiddos insane?” Yondu folded his arms and seemed to think for a moment, Peter always believed when Yondu said he would eat him, Probably because he could end up really eating the kid  well, Peter always believed until he was 25, then the boy started saying that Yondu should get some better threat.

“Ok two things.” Darcy told him with a sigh this was one of the strangest days of her life. And she tazed a God. “First off that’s seriously messed up about eating people, really creepy like on a Hannibal lecter kind of scale.” Darcy told him she doubted he knew who that was but it was nothing he couldn’t Google, did they gave Google in space? “Second if the teeth aren’t yours the tooth fairy doesn’t come and you have to be under the age of thirteen, plus you only get like a quarter per tooth unless you’re super good.” Darcy told him she hated bursting his bubble and all but this was definitely weird. However she couldn’t help herself with one thing that she had to try with such a gullible guy.
