I miss sitting in my windowsill dreaming away my Bulgarian afternoons. I miss being close to so many people. I miss coffee dates. I miss feeling free. I miss dancing the night away to music I didn't know. I miss the funny smelling grocery stores. I miss the way my Bulgarian friends would hug me and tell me that they loved me, not out of habit or obligation, but because they wanted me to know. I miss the scented toilet paper. I miss the feeling that all my problems and issues could never catch up to me. I miss being in a place where I never felt typical, but instead maintained the curiosity of others. I miss missing Americans. I miss the comfort of freshly clean laundry and the lavender spray the sweet laundry ladies would put on my clothes. I miss traveling. I miss Bulgaria πππ
