the reason it’s not creative enough is because you’re only looking “on this site.” for instance, if you do some basic cursory searches on pet play, you’ll find that there are a plethora of organized pet play show competitions that take place across the world each year. literally just googling “pet play competition” or “pup play competition” will show you tons of them, a good handful of which have been running for many years. here’s one, for example: the international puppy and trainer contest. not only are “pet shows” a long-standing element of community building for pets and handlers, some of them offer accolades and prizes for the competitors who place. there’s also a good deal of of casual, low-stakes opportunities to enter pet and handler competitions.

additionally, the concept of teaching a rescue pup to learn to love and trust their handler is integral to pet play itself. this is not some new scenario or scene you’ve come up with to practice—for most, it’s just how the first stage in the pup/handler relationship works. just like with real pets, you can’t take on a pup and immediately expect them to offer you their full trust and submission. again, this is a very basic tenant of pet play that you’ve listed as some kind of unique creative scenario.

if you’re looking for more “creative” ways to engage with pet play, you’re better off looking for information and resources from people who actually regularly practice pet play. even if you can’t find any in-person community events like workshops or information sessions, there’s quite a bit of information to be found online. i personally reccomend @followchipper on instagram as a good starting point. he makes great informational videos about pet play, from basics to more complicated topics.

uh. yeah. I know it exists, that's why i want more of this stuff on this site- because I enjoy that stuff and tumblr is my primary social media.

and I'm specifically talking about playing as a rescue dog. as in a dog that has been abandoned or abused and has to be very very slowly and patiently coaxed into trusting someone- which, yeah, can be a big component of non-humiliation based play, but don't pretend everybody roleplays being afraid of their owner, or genuinely is afraid of them at first.
