(obviously joking, but omg your mind ,,, not trying to be annoying but did you know its pretty common for people to wait until their loved ones have stepped out of the room to actually pass away? I work in a job that sometimes crosses over with hospice, and yeah, sometimes nurses will convince loved ones to go get a tea or coffee or something because the patient just.. won't pass even though they've had a death rattle for a day or two. As soon as their loved ones leave, its almost instant with how fast they go. for Shadowheart to send Connie away for tea, just long enough so he wouldn't have to actually see her stop breathing is so bittersweet)
True! That's kinda how my grandmother passed away.
It would've been worse for him to be around when it happens, he probably would try to do something to prevent it. Good thing they'll meet again, if Moonmaiden will allow.

For Shadowheart ships I really like shadowlach and nocturne x shadowheart. I really like Dammon and Karlach, the small bits of their dialogues together (and the epilogue letter) are adorable. I do find Ascended Astarion and Laez'el super funny and it's a bit in a crackship category, but it's fun to think she'd be able to have a vampire lord under her boot fkjgdfg but other than that, I'm not like super crazy about companion ships.
And there's a loooot of Tav x canon ships I like (most of em are my friends' or mutuals')
