Hey, welcome back to GilmoreGirls101! Today I will be continuing my series of blogs about several characters from Gilmore Girls. I ended my last blog talking about Jess Mariano. If you're not Team Jess, then you might be Team Dean. This might be a hot take, but I think, Dean Forester walked, so Jess could run.

Dean was Rory's first-ever boyfriend. He was new to school and very interested in Rory. They had a few fights, but their relationship only started to really become rocky when Jess showed up. I think Dean was a good first boyfriend and a great experience for Rory. I think they both made mistakes, and they could've lasted longer if they treated each other better. I think that because they loved each other a lot, but were toxic without even realizing it. I'm glad they didn't end up together, and I'm not surprised because Rory and Dean didn't have a lot of chemistry. Rory had more chemistry with the rest of her boyfriends. One thing I love about Dean is how respectful he was, he was great to Lorelai and great to her grandparents. Dean's biggest downfall was his jealousy. He was jealous of how smart Rory was, her big future, her rich grandparents, her guy friends, etc. He was always jealous, and we know that because of the rude remarks he'd make when he was upset. After Rory left him, he ended up with Lindsay. He never fully loved her as much as he loved Rory. That's why their relationship ended with him cheating on her with Rory. They both made big mistakes that day, but I believe that showed a lot about Dean's character. He was willing to risk his wife for Rory. Dean's a good guy, just not the right guy for Rory.

Kirk's quote of the day: "I read lips. My girlfriend taught me. It's so we can have quiet time and keep the conversation going at the same time."

This is Kirk just being weird again, but I think Rory would've appreciated a little quiet time with Dean every time he was being a crybaby.

Hey, welcome back to GilmoreGirls101. If you don't know my blog by now, I basically just give you a quick rundown of my opinion on each character of the show. Following up on my last blog about Luke Danes, today I will be talking about Jess Mariano. Now, if you're familiar with the show, you definitely know Jess. You may even be Team Jess. Which I may or may not be. You'll see once I start talking...

So to begin, Jess is the nephew of Luke Danes. Jess is introduced into the show because he was having a rough time living with his mom and Luke was going to straighten him out. Immediately, when Jess meets Rory, we see his interest in her. They had a great connection. I loved it when Jess and Rory would talk about books, or Harvard, or writing. They both had a similar passion and, I think, that's a big reason they connected in the first place. Because Jess started asking Rory about books, and it went from there. I think Jess and Rory had so much potential, I hoped they would get back together in later seasons because it just felt so right. Although Jess made some mistakes, he was going through a lot at home and I can understand some of the decisions his character made. Even after everything, Rory and Jess could still be friends because they had that special connection, it was hard to let go of each other. But, my favorite thing about them, is they wanted each other to thrive. I knew Jess wasn't jealous when he talked about how badly he wanted Rory to go to Harvard. When Jess came back and had his iconic line, "Why did you drop out of YALE?". I once again fell in love with him, just like at the beginning of the show. I think they could've had the most epic love story, and it's a shame they lost that. In my mind, Rory finished her Gilmore Girls book, Jess read it, and fell in love. Jess comes back to see her, and they live happily ever after! If only...

Kirk's quote of the day: "My girlfriend's the whore!"

This sounds bad....... He's a strange one, Kirk, he meant well, just like Jess always meant well when it came to Rory.

Hey, welcome back to GilmoreGirls101, with Tatum Drake. If you've missed my first two blogs, then you might be a little lost. Basically, I will be sharing my opinion of some of the main character in Gilmore girls. After Lorelai and Chris, we have the last part of the love triangle, Luke Danes. Although Chris might be Rory's biological father and the one to legally marry Lorelai, Luke is the true father and husband of this show.

Luke Danes is the owner of the famous, Luke's diner. He turned his father's mechanic shop into his own diner to officially create one of the most iconic sceneries in the show. The reason I believe Luke is the true father and husband of the show is because he was there when Chris wasn't. I think Luke loves those girls and will/does do anything for them. Chris only did things when it was convenient for him. Luke was there for every morning coffee, every birthday, school homework and projects, graduation and more. He proved how much he cared about Rory when he freaked out about Rory leaving Yale. As soon as he heard, he started to come up with plans and sacrificed his time for Rory. I think he showed true love and care for a girl who wasn't even his daughter. Lorelai loved Luke in that episode because she will love anyone who loves Rory as much as her. I believe Lorelai asked Luke to marry her at that moment because of how much he cares for her daughter. Although Luke and Lorelai never officially got married, they were more together than Chris and Lorelai ever were. Overall, Luke is one of the best characters in the show, and he adds so much to Gilmore girls. Without him and Lorelai's banter, I don't know what I would do.

Hey, welcome back to GilmoreGirls101 with me, Tatum Drake. If you haven't read my first blog, then you might be a little confused. In every blog, I will be giving my opinions on the characters of the show. I recommend you go check out my first blog, but to start off today, we will be talking about the other half of Rory's DNA. Christopher Hayden, her biological father.

As you may know from my last blog, Lorelai had Rory at the ripe age of 16 and raised her on her own. No parents, no boyfriend, not even friends. Chris and Lorelai were both supposed to have bright futures at Ivy League schools. When Lorelai refused to marry Chris just to be convenient, she left him and started her life on her own.

Throughout the show, Chris becomes a better dad and more involved in every season. He starts off terribly, rarely showing up, and seeing each other for holidays. When he finally does show up, it isn't even for Rory, it is for Lorelai. Although it's a romantic gesture, he's not a good dad. He didn't seem that bothered by leaving his daughter in the dark for the first 16 years of her life. In my opinion, that is who Chris is, he's not a good dad, he's a good boyfriend. Although, Chris has some really questionable moments. I think that's what makes Christopher's character development one of the best in the show. I believe this because he finally realized how much he missed out on. He missed out on Rory's childhood. He missed out on so many of her accomplishments. When Chris had his new baby, Gigi, I think it finally hit Chris. He began going out of his way to have lunch with Rory. I find this admirable, because even though he had made a lot of mistakes, at least he was trying. Towards the last few seasons, I think he really wanted to be Rory's dad and made the effort to make up for lost time. I don't think Lorelai and Chris are meant to be, but I do think Chris is meant to be there for Rory.

Kirk's quote of the day: "I had an imaginary girlfriend for a while when I was young, but she left me".

Kirk's imaginary girlfriend may have left him, but Chris's actual girlfriend left him, a few times. lol

Hey, welcome to GilmoreGirls101 with me, Tatum Drake. If you're interested in my opinion on Gilmore Girls characters, you've come to the right place. These blogs will be about ten of the characters in the show and why I like them so much. For my first-ever blog, we are starting off with the best character in the show, the one and only ish, Lorelai Gilmore.

You may disagree with that, but it's very unlikely. Lorelai Gilmore is the best character on the show for many reasons. I believe Lorelai Gilmore is the best character because of her independence. She not only raised Rory at 16 all by herself, but she managed to be a great mom and send her kid to Yale. Lorelai also managed an Inn by herself and did a wonderful job. When she finally wanted to take the next step, she bought her own Inn. She transformed it and built something out of nothing. I find it so inspiring for a single mother in a small town to be brave and go back to school in order to be qualified to run her own Inn. Especially with going against her parents and starting from the bottom. I think, so many people would be overly impressed with her accomplishments, because I surely am. I also find it very inspiring that Lorelai is independent with or without a man. She's had a few different relationships, and the ONLY thing I'd say that isn't perfect about Lorelai, is sometimes the breakups really were her fault, even though they tried to make it seem like it wasn't. But, it doesn't bother me because as long as she stays a good mom and good friend, then I don't care. Lorelai is an amazing woman, and that's why so many guys are in love with her. Team Chris or Team Luke? Personally, I'm team Lorelai. Although I love the little romantic scenes she has, I love her by herself. She doesn't need a man, she doesn't need anyone but her daughter Rory. And I love that about her, because I want to be like her, an independent woman, who doesn't NEED a man. But, every character does have their flaws, and that's what makes them more relatable. Lorelai just may be one of the most relatable characters to exist of all time. She's a caffeine-loving, shopaholic with an addiction to movies, music, and food. Lorelai Gilmore isn't Lorelai Gilmore without 6 cups of coffee, a buffet to feed 8, and a movie she's already seen 10 times before this. She is HER.

Kirk's quote of the day, "Oh, man. I think I've got a cavity, I got to stop partying like this."

Clearly, Kirk can't keep up to the Gilmore's eating habits, and that's okay!

Is Lorelai the best character in the show?

yes!

um, yeah obviously!
