Flipping your perspective can help you overcome a challenge. create an ambigram featuring two words that help you regain balance. the first word should be something you struggle with and the inverse word one that brings you peace. Bonus points if you also get it tattooed (permanent or temporary tattoos will both be accepted due to covid).

Item 6

Explorer Belinda Kirk teaches people about self-reliance and connecting with nature, but covid restrictions have left many of us unable to leave home. So we say "bring nature to you!" create an authentic "nature" experience in your living room. Complete with plants, beautiful vistas, and of course, Bigfoot or Bears. Show us an "Alone" or "Survivor Man" style video of your "24 hour" survival in these woods

Science Hack - Find one problem in the world and invent a device to address it. As small as solving the energy crisis or as large as inventing a hat that combs your hair so you don't get hat-hair. Create a schematic or prototype for your invention

Surf your pantry for ingredients and make a meal for someone you know who needs some support. (NOTE: If you cannot safely do this due to pandemic restrictions, you can also provide groceries instead to receive your Points.) Submit a photo of you, in beach attire, “hanging 10” with your meal.

Stay-at-home orders have been rough on folks’ sporting activities, but a Gisher doesn’t let anything keep them down! Show us backyard kiddie pool water skiing, sidewalk kayaking (you may put wheels on it!), or another “extreme” sport modified for life at home. - Ant G.

We’re not the only species impacted by a pandemic this year: birds have been hit by a mysterious epidemic that’s causing illness and death. All the Starbeaks stores had to close down for now because of it — but with our help, hopefully soon they can reopen. Create a Starbeaks “coffeehouse for birds” with a tiny “CLOSED DUE TO CORVID RESTRICTIONS” sign. DO NOT PLACE IT OUTSIDE until it is safe to do so in your region. Then, download the eBird app so you’ll be armed to identify birds outside your window & in your yard, which helps conservation efforts. (US Gishers, if you see a sick bird, report it here!) Submit an image of your Starbeaks with the appropriate signage.

Bees communicate through dance, and so do you. Make a Beeline to TikTok and show us what the Beeline dance looks like — and you must be dressed as our cat/bee mascot when you do it. Post it with #GISH & @GISH.

World’s Fair? More like World’s HAIR! Recreate an iconic World’s Fair or Exposition structure such as the Unisphere, the Flushing Meadows towers, The Eiffel Tower, etc) on your head, using your hair.

Jared RAD-alecki For this GISH homage to Oaxaca’s Night of the Radishes, you’ll be carving your very own Jared RAD-alecki out of a radish in three steps. Get a small carving knife as sharp as Jared’s jawline. A genuine RAD-alecki takes careful knifework, so be careful! Remove the top and roots of the radish and replant it to ensure a future crop of RAD-aleckis. Carve the remaining radish into your best artistic interpretation of Jared Padalecki.
