i chose an awful time of night to log on and have to be up in a few hours, so that’s me, going to sleep. these’ll be done over the next couple of days. also please excuse the state of my blog at the moment. i’m going to toss together my own theme tomorrow since...nothing anyone else makes has satisfied me bc i’m a picky motherfucker apparently
a bad habit, one that her friend seems well aware of– root often forgoes meals in favor of whatever current assignment she’s working on. it’s not purposeful, just something that slips her mind, or is shuffled beneath other more high-priority tasks until the next mealtime comes around.
‘ always looking out for me. ’ voice is low, a murmur when she smothers the ensuing smile into her shoulder, making her way toward the noted appliance. as predicted, the quarter manages to offset the sensor, and root rises from her bent position with a cheaply packaged block of cheese along with a small bottle of red. inexpensive, but it’d do the trick.
she relishes these times, the lulls between high-octane activity; the machine’s warm burble in her ear. the television set flickers to life after a signal from the remote and the hacker settles back into the corner of the couch.
‘ ah, ‘the one where no one’s ready’. this might be my favorite. ’
