(( Yes, I know. Lame. Just another OC blog XD This isn't for any fandom in particular, just a way to roleplay other peoples with a character I made. Along with not having a main fandom, this is a multiship muse. Her name is Hazel, she's 18. Further...

“Well actually I have a normalcy deck mainly at the moment but I’m not exactly sure what kind of deck I should gather up and learn to use. There’s a lot of different types of decks.” She says, running a hand through her hair.

“That’s…true.I mean, heck..my deck I used a lot, that I still use..isn’t exactly..I mean, it has different monster types so I guess it isn’t totally balanced. I mostly use Warrior types though.” Then again, his deck could be considered a mess to certain people.

“Well at least you can figure out how to make them all work together. It is balanced in a way. Variety can be good for a deck, or so I’ve heard anyhow. Yet too much variety could also be a bad thing. Too chaotic.” The brunette giggles quietly.

Hazel looks at Jou and nods a little before looking back at her deck, thinking. It had been a really long time, she was starting to wonder if she even knew how to play anymore. 

“I appreciate the advice and I’ll be sure to remember that but I actually think I need to refresh my knowledge on how to play exactly… Sorry..” She says quietly, doubting herself a bit since she had seemed at least somewhat confident before. What if she really couldn’t remember the basics though when they had started the duel? How embarrassing would that have been.

“Everyone’s gotta resort to basics every now and then, you know. Heck,even me. I..it’s embarrassing, but I actually have messed up in duels during tournaments where it was just basic knowledge. Stuff I already knew,you know? I got scolded by my opponents and some friends for bein’ an idiot, though I never gave up when it came down to it.”

If he had to help her get better, he would. He’d never give upon someone.

Hazel nods a bit and carefully puts her deck back into her pocket. Looked like she wouldn’t need that after all today, or so it seemed as of right now. She really was looking forward to maybe facing at least someone, it didn’t matter who exactly but since she hadn’t practiced yet, she couldn’t see a very good/fun outcome as of right now. Basics first, then work your way up is how it goes. 

“I’m sure it was only an accident on your part. We all forget every now and again. No one perfect. Maybe close to perfect but still not quite there. Though it’s not that I’m giving up... I just don’t want to do something wrong and frustrate my opponent. They came here to play because they know what they are doing.”

She crosses her arms over her chest as she sits up and leans back against the wood of the bench. The brunette looks at the blonde male and nods. 

“Yes, actually I have. Slowly but surely.”

“Oh sweet! That’s good. Hey, why don’t you tell me what sort of cards you have or are wanting to use? I’m sure we can think up a bunch of strategies if we can sort everything out.”

Hazel raises a brow at his suggestion before looking around and chewing her lip a little. It’d been a very long time since she played duel monsters and even then she wasn’t very skilled. It was kind of one of those phases that comes and goes. Regardless though, she truly did enjoy the game. She looks back at Jou.

“I… I wouldn’t exactly make a crowd worthy opponent.. Are you sure you want to? I mean, it’d be a lot of fun, yes, but..” The brunette rubs the back of her neck.

“If you want to, I’d love too. Thank you very much for the offer.” She says, finally deciding on a solid answer.

“Ey, don’t worry about what the crowd thinks. I mean, sure. It’s good to get em all worked up and cheerin’, though the most important thing in a duel is to make sure you’re having fun. My best friend taught me that, and it was the best advice he could have given me at the time since I carried it with me up until now.”

He looked down at his duel disk with a small smile, placing a hand over his deck.

“..it’s about trustin’ your cards and yourself too. Don’t forget that.”

Sighing, the brunette tucks some of her hair behind her left ear. “As long as you’re not too badly hurt, I’ll let it go. If it happens again though, I would like to have a few words with those assholes.” She says, trying to make eye contact with him.

“For sure. That is why I gave you the ice pack after all. You’re welcome to take a seat if you’d like. Maybe stay a little while?”

“Ah..no no. Don’t worry about them.” He nodded and brought the pack to his cheek so he could let the swelling down just a tad, taking a seat at one of the benches nearby.

“So..is there anything new going on with you? You know uh..did you pick up dueling again?”

“You don’t have to apologize for dueling people. You did come here to do that. I should’ve asked for directions the other day. That was my bad.” She says to him with a soft smile. Putting her hands at her sides, she continues with what she was saying.

“I came to watch for today.. Like I said, my deck is an absolute mess. I did bring it though just because..” Hazel explains, taking the deck out of the deck to show him. “See?”

“Oh…you did too. Sweet!” He was a little surprised though, since he wasn’t sure she had a whole lot to duel with. Regardless, he wanted to duel her now. He wanted to see what sort of deck she ran, mess or not. He could help her later. Plus he had seen some really messy decks out there..

“…you wanna duel here? I think it’d be fun.”

"Oh I'm sure you could but I don't see you doing it. So what's the hold up then if you aren't jealous?" She hums, smirking just a tad. In her opinion, Jou was rather amusing to watch when he got this way.

The female quirked a brow when he rubbed the back of his neck which in the past she had noted as a possible nervous tick. Now she was a bit suspicious again but she let it ride for now. “Well this ‘punk ass’ definitely sounds like they deserve a can of whoop ass.” She says, putting her elbows on the table before resting her head on her hands. “Beating you up like that over a duel… Sounds childish and stupid really.” She grumbles.

“Y..yeah. It was, wasn’t it. I taught him a lesson though so don’t worry about it.”

It was more like something he was going to have on his mind for the rest of the day and then some.

“Anyways. I should get some ice for this baby before it swells up. Can’t always leave my battle scars unattended to just so I can look cool, y’know.”

Upon arriving, she approaches a larger crowd which seemed to be intensely watching what she made out to be a duel from what she was hearing. Unfortunately, due to her short height, she had to jump up and down to see who was facing who. Of course when she did this, she received a few odd glances from those around her, not that she cared, but she found out the information she needed. It was in fact Jounouchi versus someone else she’d never seen before.

A smile comes to her face as she quickly looks for somewhere else that was closer to the duel so that she could watch all the action.

The time passed by, and he had won another duel after she had arrived. Well,the one he started as soon as she came around. He barely even noticed her in the crowd before long and he made his way over to her when he caught glimpse.

“Oh hey, you made it. Sorry I..sort of beat a couple people already. But uh..there’s still some more duels happening and what not. Did you come to watch or play as well?”

Sighing, she goes and takes a seat at her kitchen table, looking at him. “Sounds pretty brutal.. When did this duel happen? Who were you up against?” She asks, ready to kick some ass if she needed to. Of course she lacked a lot of muscle and strength needed to such a thing but she would try, or at least give them a stern talk.

“Happened er…not too long ago. Wasn’t anyone important. Just some punk ass.” He rubbed the back of his head nervously and sighed, reaching up to press a hand to his cheek after.

“I’m all good though. Was the heat of the moment.”

The brunette folds her arms under her chest, still not buying his story. “Yes I know you’re a tough guy Jou but a mark like that doesn’t just happen from a duel.. I mean you’d be ready for a hit and be able to dodge it right?” She asks before rummaging through her freezer for an ice pack which she gives to him.

“Here.” Hazel says, looking at him with a worried expression. “…You do know that you could talk to me right?”

“It was the duel disk. I got hit in the face with it. That’s how it happened. Should have clarified.” Well..that was one way of covering it up anyways. He didn’t know what else to tell her since he hated putting his problems out to other people.

“…sorry. It was from a duel. It got pretty heated, and you know how those things go.”

Truthfully, he had a fight with Valon, and it got out of hand. He had a good mark on his face from it too; not to say he didn’t dish out some punches of his own. It wasn’t a regular fight though. Far from it…

That had happened again, after he told him not to do it. He told Jou he wouldn’t, and somehow…it got out of hand. He was lucky to escape with what he had..

“I’m fine. I’m a tough guy, remember?”

After a little while of waiting, she gets up to go to check her computer to see if she could find the location of the duel. Luckily she did find it and Hazel quickly gathers her things before running out of her apartment to find his match and to cheer him on.

Clutching the bag of cards to her chest, she runs out towards the beach area, being very careful about traffic.

“And that is how you win.” It had been moments since the duel had gone by, and in the end, the blondie won. He had other people that wanted to challenge him however, and he was planning on dueling until they all got tired and left. He didn’t plan on losing.

In fact, he had started up another duel right then and there after he beat his last opponent.

Her searching became a bit more frantic when the bag wasn’t the holder of her cards, looking on bookshelves, counters and on the floor even. ‘Are you kidding me?! I had them with me yesterday!’

Several minutes passed before she flops down on her bed in defeat, her eyes shut as she tries thinking of where else they could be. She’d look in every place they could’ve been yet they were seemingly no where. Lost. Gone for good maybe.

As she open her eyes to stare up at the ceiling, something was out of place on the usually blank, white space. Her bag of carda where dangling from above by a few pieces of duct tape. Hazel’s eyes narrow before she stands up on her bed and jumps to get her deck that was sealed away. “Not even funny Tyler.” She mumbles before going back over to her phone, finding no new messages.

“Now I’m gonna sacrifice my Gearfried to summon Jinzo! Guess that means your trap cards are going bye bye.” He grinned after summoning one of his best monsters that he won from Esper. Man, he was proud of himself right now. Not that he needed the motivation since he knew he had this.

Though he couldn’t send anything on his phone right now since he was trying to focus, and the game has a ways to go.

Setting her phone on the bed side table, the brunette rummages through her top drawer for her ziploc bag filled with her duel monsters cards.

“I swear to god Tyler if you touched it you’re dead.” Hazel murmurs to herself before shutting the drawer and going to her backpack to see if they were in there.

Jounouchi was in the middle of a pretty serious duel after he texted her, though he had this guy on the ropes, and vice versa, he was sure he’d win and beat the snot out of him. No one was going to easily beat him again. Not since–

“..I activate my Trap card! Kunai with Chain! Now your monster has to be switched into defensive mode and is an easy target for my Gearfried!”

At least the crowd was getting better, and he felt more alive dueling than anything right now.

‘Yep. See? You fucked up Hazel. You fucked up. That was not the impression I was going for at all. So nice.’ Despite the brunette’s thoughts, she puts on a smile for the time being.

“Well maybe I could come watch you duel sometime. Root you on perhaps.” She says, folding her hands in her lap only to move them again when her phone buzzed.

‘Saved by my brother. Thanks Tyler.’ Hazel thinks as she stands up grabbing her backpack. “Uh, sorry for leaving so soon but my brother tried cooking and nearly set the apartment on fire and now my dog is freaking out from the smoke detector and won’t come out from under the bed.. So I gotta go and get her to calm down.” She adjusts the straps on her shoulders before holding her hand out to him. “Again, it’s been very nice to meet you.”

“Heh. Yeah, that’d be nice. I could always use a crowd to cheer me on. Happens most of the time anyways.” He reached up and rubbed under his nose, sort of like he was happy about it, which he was, but mostly bragging.

“Ah yeah sure. Yeesh, sounds like a massive problem. You should teach him to cook or something. Like my sister is doing with me, so you know, that doesn’t happen.”

Hands on his hips, he nodded and turned around in the direction he was going in so he could start off as well before waving.

“Was nice meeting you.”

"I've tried many times. He just can't seem to get it." She giggles as she heads towards her apartment, looking back over her shoulder to find him waving. Waving back, a smile on her face before turning her head again and picking her pace up to a jog, disappearing around a corner.
