I think this is the 3rd TransWorld cover  I designed. That’s Mike Vallely shot by Miki Vuckovich. I remember staying up late and stapling the heck out of that masking tape border. Back then we didn’t actually have the hi-res scans ... just a low-res “APR” that would automatically replace when it output ... so there is a crappy clipping path inside the border with no shadow or anything. This is before I realized I could simply request a hi-res scan. Green Alabama kid designing the biggest skate mag on the planet.
