born on the same day, in the same city, in the same hospital, just rooms away from each other. it felt like fate when the parents of san and the parents of hayun realized they were only one street over from each other. growing up the two couldn’t have been more inseparable. their days consisted of walking to school together, having snacks at one or the others house and then having a sleepover at said house.

their friendship took a deeper and more intimate turn when hayun realized that he was a male and not a female, despite what society felt and how he looked at the time. san was his biggest supporter and continues to be. he’s hayun’s number one defender and will go the extra mile to make sure everyone knows that.

san and hayun knew that when they became trainee’s they would follow each other to the end. if one didn’t debut; the other wouldn’t either. “i started this with you so i’m always going to end it with you.”

similar to yunho, these two are tittering on the line of friends to lovers, but neither will acknowledge to the other and it’s never gotten physical. hayun has spoken to yunho multiple times about how he feels for mingi and how worried he is that it’s going to ruin everything (yunho had already expressed he wants to be polyamorous but hayun is a pussy).

but mingi would never let that happen. everything about hayun draws the younger boy in, the way he smiles, the way he lights up a room with his chaotic energy despite being a introvert behind the scenes, the way he worries about everyone before himself and the way he constantly wants to better himself as a person. mingi could never do anything to ruin having hayun in his life.

when mingi was going through his health issues, hayun was the first person to acknowledge it and help him through it. that made the younger boy look at the cho boy in a different light. it was as if ‘you’re there me, so no matter what i’ll be there for you.’

trying to get these two to admit their feelings will probably take longer then it took nasa to get to the moon.

getting to the moon wasn’t impossible though.

to say wooyoung loves hayun is an understatement.

as soon as wooyoung entered KQ and became friends with hayun, he knew he wanted to keep this boy in his life for however long life allowed it. the two boys became super close super close, almost as close as san and hayun are.

you can find them in the company car in early hours of the morning cuddled up together watching youtube or tiktok videos together. you can also find them in the corner of hayun’s bed where all his stuffed animals and blankets sit (hayun’s favorite spot in the dorm, quite literally a nest so to speak) talking about the most random things that come to mind like what they want to eat the next day for lunch or if they should go play a duo game on hayun’s gaming computer and what game it should be. they typically decided on the same food and the same games each time, not really a point in discussing it but wooyoung loves any chance they get to hear hayun’s voice.

another thing that makes their friendship so important and sacred is the fact that wooyoung was the second person to know about hayun’s gender identity, the words wooyoung had said to him when he found out changed the entire trajectory of the way hayun looked at him.

to jongho, hayun is a kitten with an attitude and jongho is the mom that lets the kitten do what they want and just watches . . . but will always be there when someone or something tries to fuck with them.

yes, jongho is the younger one but he makes it his mission to protect the older boy, especially since hayun was under a lot of scrutiny from netizens when they first debuted. anytime there is a partner activity, jongho is like the katniss everdeen meme saying “I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE” to be hayun’s partner. honestly, hayun is just the same. he loved jongho to death and finds him to be the funniest person in the group, his dry and sometimes dad sense of humor tickles hayun’s funny bone so deeply that sometimes it takes minutes for the older boy to stop giggling (make sure jongho doesn’t breath too close to hayun during this process or he’ll start giggling again).

these two honestly do have a deep personal connection with each other and despite what “fans” try to say, they will always have one another’s backs. being an atiny during 2022, was a time to be alive let me just say that.

hayun is quite literally hongjoong’s favorite member, this boy can do no wrong in the leaders eye.

their dynamic is anything hayun wants, hayun gets no matter what when it comes to hongjoong. the leader would spend his allowance money on the younger member whenever he wanted snacks (despite hayun having way more allowance money then all of them combined) and hongjoong would surprise hayun with these snacks almost every week.

“we have to feed our flower to make sure he blooms!” is something hongjoong would say when hayun questioned the random act of kindness.

their friendship became even stronger when hayun started creating his own music for himself and the group and going to hongjoong for support and criticism. ever since then they have been able to connect on a more emotional level, putting their love for each other in music created (example: hayun specifically made one of his solo songs ‘moon’ for hongjoong).

SEONGHWA.

hayun is obsessed with seonghwa, in a “i want to be around you because you are so cool” kind of way and honestly seonghwa loves it and because hayun loves seonghwa so muchhhh, seonghwa lets him get away with everything!!

hayun has always and will always be seonghwa’s biggest hype man. seonghwa wants to wear a skirt for his stage outfit today “hyung you’ll look so cool! you’re gonna start a trend.” or hayun orders food and without even asking if hwa is hungry, yunnie will buy an extra of whatever he got for the older member. hayun acts like he’s older and always tries to take care is seonghwa no matter the circumstance, even when seonghwa reminds the younger boy that he is in fact younger, hayun does not care.

something about their relationship just feels so raw and so loving that it could never die, even when they are older and possibly don’t being idols. hayun will always want to take care of the older member just because he deserves it.

yunho and hayun have a very intimate and special relationship.

since the beginning the two had been attached at the hips, sharing secrets with each other at practice, giggling in the halls of the company earning side eyes from staff and trainees alike, even sharing late night talks revealing more about themselves then most would ever know.

their relationship is easy, they don’t have to put on a front with each other. no “idol” image to keep up with when it’s just themselves. they can appreciate the silence (it’s never silent, hayun is always humming to fill that void) and be in the presence of one another without complaints. hand holding and hugs is a very common thing in their relationship, years later in the relationship soft kisses also became a regular occurrence.

it was easy to admit to each other what they were and are going to be, anyone could see that.

YEOSANG.

something about hayun brings yeosang peace. his aura and smile just fills up the room with so much joy that you can’t help but want to continue to be around him. hayun brings out a different side of yeosang and yeosang thinks that’s why he is so attached the the slightly younger boy. everything about hayun just draws you in and for yeosang that’s all he ever wants in a partner.

is hayun oblivious to this, yes. are the other members oblivious, not as much as hayun. they can see it in yeosang’s eyes sometimes when watching hayun doing something goofy or just being his usual hayun self.

despite it feeling it feeling like a loosing battle, yeosang would rather keep their friendship and never confess what he truly feels then ruin everything by one action.
