End Disc 1 part 2a
His eyes widened in shock- he hadnât expected her to take the high ground. Unable to dodge, the heel connected with the side of his head. Mint grunted in pain as he staggered back.
A warm wetness slowly trailed down the side of his face. Slowly, the Wizard raised a gloved hand to touch it, wincing in pain as he made contact with the bleeding wound. The glove now stained red, Mint stared at the color that was slowly spreading through the material. The hand quivered with rage.
âYou⊠stupid⊠fucking⊠Kamen Rider!â Mint hissed, glaring at Jen, âI have had enough!â The shards of ice spread faster and faster, snaking across the ground like tendrils. The floor soon became coated with the stuff, with Mint standing in the center of it all. The Wizard let out a hissing exhale of snowdust.
âNo one can stop me!â He chuckled, âNo one! No one can beat me! No one can harm me!â His contextless, fragmented statements became more and more frantic as the ice cold wind picked up speed. He laughed with wild abandon, cackling louder and louder.
âIâll kill you!â He roared, âIâll kill them all!â
Yikes. And Jen thought she had a temper. The Aero slid past him and to the front door, with a good three yards of distance in between them.
Mintâs bluster had made the building shudder. But it was thatâmostly bluster. Not that Jen underestimated him. He was strong, however, she fought subjects tougher than him. She knew she did.Â
âHow much do you wanna bet, Mint?!â She called out. On the tips of her fingers, she held the wind ready. âHave you ever faced off against a Rider in fair combat? Theyâve fought things that can eat you for breakfast!â Her mouth spread into a grin behind her helmet. âAnd I am no exception.â The wind flowed into her Gale Driver again, and the device lit up in a brilliant pink. That light flowed through her suit, pulling the air to whip into opaque silver wind. As it gained form, a more substantial set of armor integrated into her suit. Her gloves grew sharp edges, blades which she grabbed on to as they separated from her armor.Â
Jen twirled the blades around, interrupting Mintâs tantrum with a blast of super-heated air. She bolted straight at the wizard on the now slick watery ground in a full force tackle, blade edges first.Â
Through his rage, Mint caught the tail end of her transformation. He was seeing nothing but red, lashing out indiscriminately at anything around him. When she rushed him, he had a mere second of clarity.
And in that second, he realized he was done for.
The blast of air threw him like a doll, slamming him into the far wall of the cafe. Frames and shelving crashed around him, splashing into the water at his feet. Mint tried to recover but was interrupted when a pair of blades embedded into the wally, inches from hitting his body.
âY-you-!!!â He sputtered, âYou littleâŠ! I-IâŠ.â He hissed through clenched teeth, staring into the eyes of Jenâs helmet. He couldnât see her face, but he didnât need to. His hatred for her could practically burn a hole through the lens.
âI should have killed you when I was done with you-!â
"Hah!!" Jen tilted her head to the side. "You could have, but you missed your chance! And you'll be regretting it for the rest of your miserable life."
The Aero drew her fist back, and slugged Mint directly in the face.
