If you don’t care, pretend you do,
If you don’t care,
It hurts more,
Can't bat an eye without thinking twice now,
You and Me were paradise,
And no it's gone and lost,
And who’s to say you cared
When I’m staring at crystal balls,
Looking for any sort of insight,
And you feeling love every night
With every prospect in sight,
And who’s to say I have to mean anything,Â
When I feel so defeated,
I never let go easy,
But you promised me more
And I never wanted to end up
Where I’ve been before
And now I am trying to be a poet,
To the world that doesn’t value pain
Through words, pain illustrates the pain
Even if they’re too scared to show itÂ
I am so alone in this world,
Where deep thoughts are thought
But no one likes to show it
And when loneliness is felt
But there are a million selfies that beg to differ
How does the world do it?Â
All these technologies and intelligence
Yet all the lack of morals, and depth of social negligence
I can’t speak for all
But for anyone with a heart
This world is burdened dark,
It takes a lot to come forth and unleash your feelings,
And so many make us feel there are no reasons
For the way, we are feeling.
