It’s been a while since I last updated this blog, a lot of things happened and I do not know how to single out what I could share. Anyway, I think I lost myself sometime this year; it’s been two months but it still stings the same. I know that this is a (so-called)photography blog, but I decided to start writing again. Little by little I’ll try to get back to this game. After all, photographs are visual anecdotes, so allow me to share some concrete ones. I think that’s a catch up.

I want to leave an ask/message but I don't know what to say. I don't want to say something dramatic or sentimental, but I just want to let you know that from my point of view, you are achieving great things (and you'll continue to, of course!). So continue slaying, friend! You are one of my inspiration. ❤️

Winona – The Ilocos region will always be one of my favorite places here in the Philippines: everything about it is worth revisiting. This shot dates back to June 2016 when we were invited for my friend’s 18th birthday. Here’s a portait of one of my favorite writers; I met Winona when we were in our first year in college, she introduced me to the local indie scene.

Here’s the thing: it is difficult for a short person to shoot when she’s in a massive crowd. But then, you have to make the most out of your perspective. I was only using my 18mm - 55mm kit lense, and it was a struggle to get a good angle. Anyway, I’ve seen the rise to stardom of the band Sud. I remember first hearing Sila; my friend asked me if I wanted to watch a gig that their org prepared, and little did I know, this unheard song captured my heart. I am glad that there’s now a studio version of it, and it became the national anthem for something.

We were not able to catch the opening of UP Fair: Cosmos, but I am so glad that I saw my favorites from the line-up. Yes, it was different if I will compare it to my previous UP Fair experience (dates back to 2014), however I am still in awe on how the organizers can pull off something as huge as this. It was indeed a solid night.

Long Night and City Lights (February, 2017) – Roofdecks have always been one of my favorite sites ever since I moved to the Metro. I guess this became my sanctuary during my down times, and I like watching the skies turn to a different hue. One of my fondest momery when I was still new in the city was when a friend texted me to look at the sky. It was six in the morning, and he knows I am not a morning person. But I went to my dorm’s roofdeck, then I saw a giant feather-like cloud and a peaceful yet busy hustling scene of people below. I miss those days when I still have the time to look up and down.

Daniel & Rela, Boracay (Januay 2017) – Here’s the thing: they’re not, they’re actors. I can’t write a lengthy caption for this one, let’s just say that I am aiming for a pre-nup peg for this one. I am huge fan of candid laughing shots, or a dramatic gaze potraiture.

Boracay Island, Aklan (January, 2017) – Sunsets in Boracay will always be one of the best things I have ever seen. It symbolizes the beginning and an ending, and as for me, this was taken during our last day in the island. The warmth of the sun bidding goodbye basked the whole island in its glory, even if it was posing for a farewell, I knew in that moment this will be my most memorable shot.

You were dreamy, and I was weary. (January, 2017) – I was scared for so many reasons, yet I cannot identify a single one when I am with you. Let’s classify you as someone who makes me smile, someone who makes my heart sink everytime he comes near. He will always be dreamy, but he’s not the sun.
