if anyone’s curious you can find tutorials online easily but the light rotates because of a circle of back to back observers, with another ring of observers underneath looking upwards to feed the signal down into the lamps. it can reach thru 2 rows of lamps, so no other circuitry is needed. it’s very simple and it all fits in the lighthouse roof easily!

if you want to build this yourself, include an off switch (a sticky piston to break the observer circle works nicely). up close it’s functionally just flashing lights and it isn’t pleasant. I mostly had it switched off while I was working on it - if you have epilepsy or are prone to migranes or anything like that, please be more careful with it than I was.

oh yeah, a few days ago I reblogged someone elses fanart and I didn't realise that by default in mobile browser it keeps the original tags, so it ended up being tagged with #my art :S I think it was pretty obvious what happened and that it wasn't mine since I wasn't the op but just, clarifying that just in case, because it's keeping me up at night lol
