It’s, like…. The most Tumblr™️ thing imaginable
it's a somewhat spicy (lemon !!!!!!!!!) story world, called “Human Domestication Guide”
It’s about a non-capitalist, post-work (besides those who want to work) fully automated empire of benevolent plant aliens (called the Affini) domesticating humanity
And you have sophonts & pets\florets
Sophont = a non-Affini citizen, who mostly has full rights & lives their life freely, with all the benefits the Affini empire can provide
Pet\floret = a non-Affini person who either chose to be domesticated, or was deemed to need forced domestication due to being a danger to self or others, and they’re taken VERY good care of by their Affini Owners who are just absolutely fawning over all the adorable humans
A pet\floret has no political rights & is legally the property of their Affini owners, however, their wellbeing is assured, and Affini absolutely dote on them beyond imagination
It’s very very queer & most of the time also trans, it's basically the ultimate wish fulfillment for many of us in my opinion - so much so, in fact, that unless explicitly stated otherwise, it’s safe to assume that every single human character you encounter in a HDG story is trans, and thus far i haven’t seen a single human character that wasn’t in some way LGBT+ .
It does have spicy undertones, but doesn’t usually have explicit sex, more like very thorough drugged-up vine cuddles, where every touch of the vines makes the florets lose their mind in cuddly pleasure (xenodrugs enhance pleasurable touch-sensitivity to incredible degrees)
