Business Model Development
The original goal of this course is to explore the different types of business model. I really enjoyed last week assignment when we had to compare the different circus business model. One model was outdated which use by Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey's Circus while Cirque du Soleil turn the industry around. These scenarios had me to rethink the business model have chosen for my business. The other thing I would like to bring out how Cirque du Soleil made a very big pivot when it was necessary. Actually, The Cirque du Solei change their whole format and double the profit and revenue. Another scenario that I learned from was between Netflix and Blockbuster. This scenario showed me how important was to listen to customers feedback. I remember that a student stated that Blockbuster was ignoring the customers suggestions. They were also over price customers and charging them insane late fees. They never pivot which made a successful business go downhill. Blockbuster literally gave the market away by not pivoting to the internet. Again, I was reminded not to be scared to pivot for growth. My goal was met for this class. I believe this brought more structure to my business. It also has given me more confidence to complete my brand for plus size women. I came to my first pivot moment in my venture. I have also would like the venture into making premiere clothing. I would like to share I birth a premiere baby girl. Her birth weight was 1 lb. 5 ounces. Of course, I would n't want to design clothes for that small. I think to design something at 3lbs to newborn size which normally 7lbs. The idea is still new to me so I would begin my research shortly to see if this will be a profitable venture for my business. I would say I applied what learned to my professional experience. This has been very changeling but memorable experience in this class. Thank you, Mr. Donald, for not lowering your standards . Again, Thank you very much.
Business Feasibility
Within the Class, "feasibility process you may investigate a variety of ways of organizing the business and positioning your product in the marketplace. It is like an exploratory journey and you may take several paths before you reach your destination. Just because the initial analysis is negative does not mean that the proposal does not have merit. Sometimes limitations or flaws in the proposal can be corrected.My goals for the course together more information to develop a better business and position my business for success. This has out did my expectations. I believe this course have put me on a great path for success. This class had allowed me to develop my product for plus size women This class allowed me to expand my thinking on developing a brand and have plus size women as my target market. I have learned that I can solve a problem within the plus size industry.This assignment allowed me to see that my product can really work in the marketplace. The feasibility study outlines and analyzes several alternatives or methods of achieving business success. The feasibility study helps to narrow the scope of the project to identify the best business scenario(s). The business plan deals with only one alternative or scenario. The feasibility study helps to narrow the scope of the project to identify and define two or three scenarios or alternatives. The person or business conducting the feasibility study may work with the group to identify the “best” alternative for their situation. This becomes the basis for the business plan. Yes , my goal met within this course. I t have open my eyes to my strengths,weakness, opportunities, and threats within my brand. I have a better understanding of my weaknesses and my strength as I build my business plan for my plus size clothing line. I also realize that I am lacking a lot before starting this venture. I need to do some research within my brand to make sure there will be a valuable product within plus industry. I look to improve my weak areas within my brand. Business Venture Research
My plans for this class what to learn how to conduct research for my potential plus size clothing line. I was able to learn several things I would like to highlight such as different pivots, primary and secondary data, and learning customer development. Now I'm able to conduct research for the purpose of starting a plus-size clothing line. I never thought I would consider designing clothes for plus size women until taking this class. I really do see the need and a solution to the things lacking in the plus sizes industry. I have created jeans that women are measured by their height and their curves. This class have taught me how to develop a focus group on plus size women clothes especially jeans. It also taught me about and how to conduct an interview questions for my research. This class also includes me to began to brand myself and make an online presence. Having an online presence is very important for your customers to relate to your upcoming product. Before this class, I had no idea or desire to develop size clothing line. Now, I really feel there's in the plus size industry for me to grow. I also learn the marketing techniques that would help me drive traffic to my plus size women website. I realize how important it is to test your product several times before the big launch. I really enjoy working with my focus group on completing my assignments for my plus size clothing. As I did my research, I believe customer segments pivot, channel pivot, value capture pivot are the things I will experience in my business.According to Steve Blank, pivots is a substantive change to one or more of the nine business model canvas components, A pivot is not just changing the product. A pivot may mean you changed your customer segment, your channel, revenue model/pricing, resources, activities, costs, partners, or customer acquisition lots of things other than just the products. I believe it's very important to understand pivot within businesses. This class have taught me the pivot to use within my business.
My original plan for this was learn all I can to develop a better company. This have out did my expectations. I believe this course have put me on a great path for success. This class had allow me to develop my product. At first before entering the class I had no idea that I could develop a product that is needed for in the marketplace. My main focus was developing my life coaching firm. After accumulating so much resource from this class an ideas was developed of plus size women jeans. Jeans that fits women height and the curves. This class allowed me to expand my thinking on branding which i have learned that it can a product itself.One thing I really enjoyed with in this class was the vision board. This assignment allowed me to see that my product can really work in the marketplace. I never had a desire before this class to develop a product such as a clothing line. I have been aspired by this class to take my design more seriously and beyond the classroom. I also enjoyed learning about the different types of marketing techniques such as a landing page or and explaining video. I can really say doing these types of assignments really help me develop more confidence like never before as a designer and as a entreprenuer.I will always apply the material that I have learned in this class from this day forth. The information I've learned in this class not only gave me confidence of what I'm doing as an entrepreneur but a designer also. I never saw myself as a designer for clothing before this class. Now I really feel good how this class assisted me in opening my eyes to a new passion. This new passion allows me to solve problems for other people. This allow me to get paid for it which is my ultimate goal from day one.
My original plans were to learn more about how to succeed in the field of Life Coaching. My goal was to research the primary problem that a client seeks after for help or for guides, the strategies behind the financial aspect of running this type of business and developing the different products. I believe that this course had met my original goals. This was well put together. This course allowed a newbie like myself to take the necessary steps that I need to take in order to conduct a successful research to begin a successful business.
This course allowed me to conduct case study on the different scenarios that help me direct my business in the correct way. There are many things that I learned in this course. I can say that there has been one thing that sticks out to me that I would like to share. I knew nothing about the different type of business pivots for developing business.
Steve Blank, define pivoting like this, “Pivoting” is when you change a fundamental part of the business model. It can be as simple as recognizing that your product was priced incorrectly. It can be more complex if you find the your target customer or users need to change or the feature set is wrong or you need to “repackage” a monolithic product into a family of products or you chose the wrong sales channel or your customer acquisition programs were ineffective”. I discover that my business operated better using the Customer need pivot. According to Zwilling, “ Early customer feedback indicates that the problem solved is not very important, or money isn’t available to buy. This requires repositioning, or a completely new product, to find a problem worth solving.” Now I am on a great path to succeed within my business because of the know I learn within this course.

Mastery review
A couple of weeks ago, I had to express my goals for each class. Now I am have almost finish Creativity and Innovation. It’s time for me to review what my goals for this class and measure to see how I met my goals. At first my goals were to “examines various creativity and innovation theories as they relate to the development of new products, services, and business methodologies. The course provides a framework for understanding principles of theory and research through a variety of historical and contemporary examples.” from the syllabus. I have learned so much in this class . I must say that things became a little difficult for me in the the beginning of this class. I was determine that to let personal issue get in my way. I really didn’t know there was a scientific method/ approach to starting a business. I have been self-employed since 2010. It was one of the best decisions I have ever had made. However, I was following the traditional way from developing business which lead me to little and no growth in my business. In addition , Traditional way of business had me hoping that something just going to work for me. Then I became stuck in my business, I didn’t know what to do. I am glad that I was able to start this class. This was perfect timing to access this great information. Now I know that the lean startup i have learned will assisted me in developing my next business,. i will use this approach to improve my business and service to my clients. I will revise my existing business and implement right way. Also , I have learned how to develop my business ideas by taking these class. Now I know what do to for my next business idea. I also know that proper steps to take in ordered to develop a business. I really appreciated all the resource you provided for us through out this class. I can really say that were very informative and encouraging to go forth in starting my business.

My inspiration is Oprah Winfrey. The first black billionaire in history. I love her influence and generosity to help other to succeed and that’s my goal. One day I will meet and become acquaint with Oprah Winfrey. I really gain strength from her mastery journey. She never been afraid to connect and tell her personal struggles with her audience. I feel thats what I have in common with Oprah. I realized that the only way I can impact people from revealing my struggles.
