ā your t-shirtās inside out. ā ā you already know iām bad at lying. ā ā you are the person i never wanted to be in debt to. but i owe you. ā ā after all weāve been throughā¦everything iāve doneā¦it canāt be for nothing. ā ā you know what i see when i look at you? me. you remind me of me. ā ā i need you to take a breath. ā ā thereās a leader in you. one day, it could be your turn. ā ā i never liked you, but still, itās like weāre friends. almost. ā ā weāre gonna be brave, and weāre gonna get out of this. ā ā canāt tell you how exciting it was listening to that fucking conversation. ā ā there you are. i was getting worried. ā ā a bad reputation doesnāt mean youāre bad. ā ā how about we just talk this through? ā ā this isnāt gonna end well. ā ā when weāre done, weāll go wherever you want. ā ā youāre a dangerous person. youāve certainly proved that. ā ā i started worrying you wouldnāt wake up. ā ā we can help each other. and get that gun out of my face. ā ā i think iām gonna love you for a long, long time. ā ā thereās stuff up there you shouldnāt see. ā ā you ask a lot of goddamn questions. ā ā you know, i used to be scared of these people. ā ā i meanā¦our luck had to run out sooner or later. ā ā like to think, for once, we could finally win? ā ā i mean, itās the long way or the āweāre fucking deadā way. ā ā you mumble in your sleep. ā ā wait, who gave you the black eye? ā ā no. no questions. just do it. ā ā you canāt fight everything and everyone. you can pick and choose whatās important. ā ā nobodyās gonna be coming after you, right? ā ā you stay close and you follow my lead. ā ā thereās no halfway with this. we finish what we started. ā ā youāre a natural leader. youāre smart, loyalā¦violent. ā ā itās a miracle youāre alive. ā ā okay, rocky start. couldāve been worse, though. ā ā you know what iām in the mood for? shitty puns. ā ā it doesnāt matter. you have to trust me. ā ā you know, people like to tell stories. ā ā iām not in the mood for this. iām really not in the mood. ā ā you have a greater purpose than any of us couldāve ever imagined. ā ā how about we start withĀ āthank youā? ā ā iād like to go home and drink ātil my face stops hurting. ā ā i want you to forget this ever happened. ā ā i believe everything happens for a reason. ā ā you canāt be stupid like this. ā ā you so hungry for vengeance? deliver it. ā ā iām not going anywhere with you. ā ā if we come up against anything, you get behind me and you stay there, okay? ā ā iām trying to keep you alive. ā ā did it make you feel better? did it make you feel safe? ā ā thatās not my fucking home. ā ā i donāt want your sorries. ā ā donāt blame me for something that isnāt my fault. ā ā oh, finally, some fucking luck. ā ā you wonāt survive for long out here. i can protect you. ā ā no more questions about me. ā ā you want your jacket back? ā ā fuck you, man. i didnāt ask for this. ā ā besides, itās the thought that counts. ā ā wasnāt my fault this time. ā ā iām sorry, but this has gone on too long. ā ā iāve hadā¦more good days with you than with anyone else. ā ā i need you to take a breath. ā ā can we start a fire? iām freezing. ā ā the darkness is falling, the sky has turned gray. ā ā matter of fact, we can just keep our histories to ourselves. ā ā you stay here. you hear anything, yell. ā ā maybe thereās nothing bad out there, but so far thereās always been something bad out there. ā ā soā¦is it everything you hoped for? ā ā what do you want me to say? ā ā you okay? you just seem extra quiet today. ā ā are you okay? youāre not hurt? nothing? ā ā thereās no way anyone knows weāre here, right? ā ā you do what i say when i say it. we clear? ā ā where would you be without me, huh? ā ā iāve been on both sides. ā ā letās just handle what we have to handle. ā ā is it everything you hoped for? ā ā it doesnāt matter how much you push the envelope, it will always be stationary. ā ā you hungry? you can share some of mine. ā ā have i committed a crime? ā ā itās got its ups and downsā¦but you canāt deny that view. ā ā those things i didā¦those things that you judge me for, i did those things to keep us alive. ā ā i swear, iāve told you everything i know. ā ā i donāt wanna talk about it. ā ā just because life stopped for youā¦doesnāt mean it has to stop for me. ā ā iām alone and forsaken by fate and by man. ā ā here. this make you all nostalgic? ā ā thanks for still giving a shit about me. ā ā i am the bad guy because i did a bad guy thing. ā ā you keep your eyes on me. and donāt look anywhere else. ā ā i know this hurts. youāre gonna be okay. ā ā you think iāve never done shit like that? ā ā maybe we just call this one a success and say our fond farewells. ā ā it isnāt fair, your ageā¦having to deal with all of this. ā ā i was never afraid before you showed up. ā ā swear to me. swear to me that everything you said is true. ā ā do i not look scared? ā ā just a reminder that if youāre dead, iām fucked. ā ā what else am i supposed to say? ā ā itās not too late. even nowā¦even after what youāve done. ā ā iām sorry. i have no other choice. ā ā if you just keep goingā¦you find something new to fight for. ā ā we did what we needed to survive. ā ā is that what i am? am i one of the āwrong peopleā? ā ā i shouldnāt have said what i said. i donāt know your situation. ā ā i donāt wanna hurt you. i wanna help you. ā ā look, sometimes things donāt work out the way we hope. ā ā when do we tell the others? ā ā well, this is what happens when you fuck with fate. ā ā i saw what you didā¦the way you killed those men. ā ā but first, you have to do something for me. ā ā be careful who you put your faith in. the only people who can betray usā¦are the ones we trust.Ā ā ā you see my face? do i look scared? ā ā stay awake with me. ā ā itās dangerous, but itās nothing you canāt handle. ā ā thereās a whole lot youāre not telling me. ā ā how about you shut the fuck up? ā ā i would very much like for you to hurt them. ā ā what iām about to tell you cannot be repeated to anyone. ā ā theyāre gonna catch us if we donāt run. ā ā everybody i have cared for has either died or left me. everybody, fÕ½cking except for you. ā ā lately, there are these moments where the fear comes up outta nowhere.Ā ā ā iām not looking for any trouble. ā ā i think maybe we got a little off on the wrong foot. ā ā i came here to save you. ā ā theyāre not following us. i think weāre safe. ā ā i just ran away for a bit, thatās all. ā ā i thought you were dead. ā ā you think i can still handle things, butā¦iām not who i was. ā ā oh, maybe i shouldnāt have said anything. ā ā i should fucking stab you. ā ā seriously, though, how the fuck do you do that? ā ā well, iā¦i donāt know how to swim. ā ā what the fuck is wrong with you, sneaking up on me like that? ā ā holy shit, are you dying? ā ā i was just trying to imagine you wearing that. ā ā was that the first dead body you ever saw? ā ā i wasnāt gonna say iām sorry. i was gonna say that iāve been thinking about what happened. ā ā how about you just take the good news? ā ā why did you bring me here? ā ā we can just be all poetic and lose our minds together. ā ā god help any motherfuckers who stand in our way. ā ā you stay down, you stay low, you stay quiet. ā ā that easy to give everything up, huh? ā ā are you gonna kill me? this seems like a perfect place to do it. ā ā you shouldnāt have had to. iām sorry. ā ā you know, you really shouldnāt be all out here on your own. ā ā turn around and walk away. just go. ā ā iāll follow you anywhere you go. ā ā hold me close to my heart. ā ā itās hard to trust strangers. i know. ā ā i need to know youāre with me. ā ā the longer i was awayā¦the harder it was to come back. ā ā did you kill innocent people? ā ā as much as i love arguing with your stubborn assā¦weāre on a mission here. ā ā donāt tell me that iād be safer with somebody else because the truth is i would just be more scared. ā ā you have no idea what loss is. ā ā youāre the one thing i missed from that fucking place. ā ā when we were talking about hurting peopleā¦what did you mean it wasnāt your first time? ā ā i canāt fucking do this without you. ā ā it was a joke, okay? in my mind, you loved it. ā ā well then, give me your hand. ā ā they havenāt lost faith in you. theyāre just scared. ā ā goddamn it, i wanna punch you so bad. ā ā looks different in the daylight, huh? ā ā i know you mean well. i know you wanna protect me. ā

i know you don't care, but can you listen? @texecutioner.
the marquis groans audibly, tipping his head until it connects with the back of his cream couch; the colour of which somehow untouched by the insouciant nature of excessive and animated gesturing with a wine glass in hand. vincent cannot deny that he'd been enjoying a drink in surplus as of late, aristocratic boredom quelling his restless fingers and he finds that he itches to return to the more favourable side of his title, in spite of its often lack in refinement and glamour. vincent spent his days with access to whatever mad thing he wanted, and yet it did not even begin to satiate him; prestige was only pleasurable if he continued to earn it, getting his hands dirty every now and then to remind himself why he really did deserve to be in the position he is. his apartment was cold and vacant and without the company of those who really understood him. not that anyone really did.
ā i can, as long as you do not expect me to recall any of this at a later moment. ā vincent says obnoxiously, but his expression is illuminated somewhat by rare good spirits; warmed with the pleasant tepidity of ample glasses of red wine that puts an atypical rouge in his otherwise ghostly cheeks. he smiles, a first sign that he had any humour in him whatsoever. perhaps the extension of this vague compassion was the intricate knowing of an unpleasant home, the relief his own father's death brought him once he received that call. he remembers drinking and crying. sobbing even. that formidable feeling of pure liberation flooded him and vincent didn't know what to do with it. ā and as long as we can drink through it. ā
ā fine by me. ā logan roy is dead. the headliner of the night, flashing across every american's phone screenā waystar royco creator, logan roy, deceased as age 82. her father is dead. it still doesn't feel real, even after seeing his corpse at the hospital, it isn't real. [he isn't dead. dad isn't dead. he's still alive, the motherfucker is still kicking.] she can't go to tomā their divorce looms across the horizon, hand in unlovable hand, their marriage finally crumbling like the berlin wall; she can't go to her siblingsā kendall is already plotting his reign, roman strays further from himself with every passing moment. shiv roy is alone. alone and with a shattered heart, she seeks solace in the unlikely of places. [the reminder of her father: a man who'll never valid her. the cycle of pain continues.]
heels clicking against marble floors, she saunters over to the barā fingers immediately reaching for the wine bottle. [not the ideal choice of drink but with enough glasses, she'll manage.] glass in hand, she pours it near the brim before taking a lengthy sip. she'll manage. ā i'm assuming you've seen the fucking news, right? ā a laugh is mustered through the words, an attempt to not revel in her vulnerability. [who hasn't seen the news? it's fucking everywhere, consuming her like a parasite.] twisting around, she comes face-to-face with vincent, carmine-painted lips pressing themselves together.
ā part of me wants to clap, you know? like fuck him, fuck him for everythingā for the last six months. but holy shit... he was my fucking dad. ā
I couldn't choose what colors I liked best lol
good morning .
@fevrals, max: ā you canāt carry me through this. ā
stunted youth, cursed childhoods, bruised knees and hearts > this was nothing new for the mayfield girls. grief had lived in their bones since the day they moved to indiana. [the abandonment of a father, the absence of a mother, the torture from a stepfamily.] only now, a death resided in their midst and darkness enveloped hawkins once again. darkness it couldn't escape no matter how hard it tried. palm trees replaced with oak trees, sunny skies replaced with grey clouds, and smiles replaced with screams. hawkins would be their grave.
eldest daughter syndrome ā the weight of sisterhood and motherhood resting on her shoulders, the world threatening to crumble down upon them. ā look, i get it. shit has been really messed up lately, and i don't know how to make it better. if i could, you know i would in a heartbeat. ā it's the closest thing to a plead she can muster, nausea rising her stomach as marley swallows her pride. [they'd had always been emotionally unavailable at the worst of timesā the joys of sisterhood.]
ā please talk to me. please don't shut me out... that's the worst fucking punishment you can give me. ā
social gatherings had never been her strong suitā the hierarchy of ballet beginning to become exposed to her. fancy galas, sipping on champagne flutes, phony laughter at jokes: this was the role for a fool. nina was no fool. [she cared beyond thisā far more than a fool ever could.]
her attendance for the gala had been requested by thomas, the guise presented as their ballet company's unveiling of the next seasonā their production of swan lake, odette and odile portrayed by nina herself. as she stood at the top of the marble staircase, she soaked in the applause, a riveting experience she'd never had before. [for a moment, she almost wishes her mother could be here to see it. to gaze upon the crowd and take note of the smiles. they love her and for a moment, nina loves them.] she relishes in it for a moment, gaze drifting before landing on the woman who sinks her downā beth macinytre. the face of their company, the woman who'd put decades into her career, the one who nina would be replacing after all this time. [how long will it be before thomas begins calling her beth's nicknameā little princess.] everywhere she turns, she sees beth's face. on that note, multiple blinks and a swig of champagne being taken as she makes it to the bottom step, nina makes her exit.
the elevator takes her down to the ground level, a breath of fresh air reaching her lungs as she steps off. few steps are taken throughout the entrance before she's greeted with a statue in the middle of the corridor. she gazes at itā a deformed face, wings as arms, a hint of sadness mixed with the undeniable power. [a foreshadowing of what awaits when the curtain rises.] she takes it in.
@vtriggers, anakin: ā it's so ugly... i love it. ā
curiosity piqued, she tears her gaze from the statue to the maleā confusion spreading across her face. she's taken back by his comment but only momentarily, reality soaking in for a brief second. the perspective was different from the pristine beauty and elegance she'd strived for all her life. yet, his words resonated within her, stirring something deep within her soul. [something hugeā something fucking terrifying.]
ā i find it beautiful... ugly, beautiful, they're two sides of the same coin, i suppose. ā she replies softly, her voice carrying a touch of vulnerabilityā the fragility mirroring the delicate balance she sought to achieve in swan lake. a balance between light and dark, perfection versus imperfection. [perfection is not just about control, it's also about letting go.] chills run down nina's spine, enough for her slender digits to scratch at her exposed forearmsā she can hear her mother cursing in her head.
ā sometimes, it takes embracing the imperfections, the rawness, to truly appreciate the art that lies beneath the surface. ā a quote she's heard from thomas far more than she can count.
