The most surprising thing in this episode was Tali’s pov of her parent’s relationship! I get why she wouldn’t want them back together, but the fact she think they doesn’t even “like” each other was so shocking to me.. tony and ziva lived in denial and avoid their relationship for 20 years to the point that their daughter actually believed they don’t like each other!! Tiva get your shit together already!!

What if Tali is similar to tiva in pretending and masking her feelings, like she will be happy if they get back together but act like she wouldn’t?

Henry’s death was sooo tragic :(( but i feel like it was the slap that tony needed to get his shit together and stop running from his feelings..

This scene was even better than I’ve imagined.. silly me thought Tony would finally give a direct answer! but it was handled way way better by making him lie.. it was the perfect way of showing Tony’s abandonment issues.. i do think that what he said is partially true, he was actually trying to spare ziva another painful reality but i also think he lied to protect himself from facing another abandonment..

I wonder if they would dig deeper in his abandonment issues bcz I don’t think his issues are only related to ziva abandoning him multiple times.. i think it goes way back to his absent father, losing his mom and even wendy calling off the engagement, the guy was abandoned in multiple occasions which sure made it hard for him to open up and verbalize his needs and feelings freely in a relationship..

Can’t imagine whats Ziva’s reaction gonna be when she find out about Tony’s honest answer of “you hurt me when…” the mistrust the guilt the hurt she’ll feel 😥

Since Ziva said it happened because of “adrenaline” i’m even more excited to see their reaction when they will be accused of just loving the adrenaline 😅

I love that both tony and ziva are past questioning or accepting their feelings for each other.. they know well enough that they love each other but their past failure makes it hard for them to accept that they changed and it could work.. as Ziva mentioned in Ep04 “i know it doesn’t work” so now they have to realize that they are ready..

Chef kiss for the writing.. for not making it about their feelings but about their relationship..

Random thought 💭 Could dr. Lang somehow have anything to do with their break up? And maybe he is the therapist that tony mentioned in the first episode “walked in happy, walked out depressed”?

We got to witness most of tiva key moments in flashbacks (which btw was perfect writing choice.. we got to see how their trauma manifested both individually and in a relationship) BUT i really hope we will get to witness the first “i love you” in a perfect setting and timing (present timeline)

Episode 4 is my favorite out of the 4.. it was beautifully shot… kudos to Valerie Weiss 👏
