OOC ANNOUNCEMENT
I'm back in the fucking building again. :)
After a few days of preparation, both physical and mental, Parrot finally headed to the coordinates Nova had given him. He didn't want to be anywhere near Cindercrest, but if this was what he had to do to get his son back, how could he avoid it?
At the very least, this would soon be over... he'd be able to have some peace of mind after a long period of stressing over his kid...
Well, that was the hope. Who knew what bullshit Showtime was capable of pulling?
- @parrot-times-four
Upon reaching the coordinates, it wasn't difficult to locate a small, semi hidden door in a nearby wall. Obviously, whoever had put it there didn't want it to be seen, but they had done a terrible job.
The door opened to a long corridor that went deeper and deeper into the ground, losing itself in the darkness...
Parrot silently descended the corridor, keeping one hand on the wall and counting his steps as he moved.
He couldn't fight the sinking feeling in his chest, as if walking into the darkness was sealing his fate... but he had no choice but to keep moving...
Finally, there was a room.
A plain, dark room, with a single indistinct figure in the middle. There was a door at the end, locked.
Suddenly, the passage behind Parrot closed. A yellow light shone across the room.
"Why, hello there! :)"
Parrot sighed upon hearing the voice, wings wrapping around himself as he spoke.
"Hello... Showtime."
Parrot fidgeted with the edge of his cloak, clearly uneasy.
"...so what's the deal?"
"I never liked that nickname y'all gave me..."
"Anyways, you know it. Answer my question and kill me. Then you shall pass. :)"
"You didn't exactly give us any alternative, so the name stuck. Kinda on you for that."
Parrot shrugged, shaking his head to try and dispel some of his worry.
"So... do I only get one shot at this? What happens if I don't guess your identity on the first try?"
"Mhhh nothing! You get as many tries as you want. As long as you don't attack me, I won't do anyrthing to you. :)"
showtime being a tame villain compared to whatever gods val angered😭😭
In full honestly, I have no idea what's going on with Val.

what is in your building yo??? why is val suddely in the backrooms
"Believe me. I don't know."
Valerie appears out of thin air in front of Showtime, her expression worried as she pinches the bridge of her nose. She paces back in forth in front of him, trying to collect her words.
"Showtime, Flame... Doesn't work with Cindercrest anymore. They don't want him back either. It's not my fault, I-I haven't heard of what happened while I was in captivity." Her voice breaks, as she believes her loved ones will be in danger due to her inability to help.
@iwishwecouldbereal
"I know. It is... Problematic, but don't worry! I'll find my way :)"
"You are safe. For now."
"M-must I... remain in your custody once more?" She stumbles over her words for the first time, her composure breaking. Maybe the time apart from her beloveds caused some cracks.
"No, don't worry. :)"
They laugh, seeing how broken she is now.
"I'm actually going to end this soon. Parrot will have to make his decision. It will all end soon..."
They sound tired, as if they had spent way more energy than they should in this...
"So I can go back to Flame and Wem? I can find Aster? I won't have to worry about you coming back?"
"No. Don't worry. We are over. :)"

duuudee.... the one who's running the show from TADC is saooooooo you coded👀👀
"That was the idea, indeed."
"By the way, Parrot, when you see this, know something: To discoverr who I am, remember that a maccxd namh Mseeiax bvxhrv kae ualaghxaiww tfg. :)
You're actually horrible, y'know? Kidnapping an innocent child and taunting their parents like that... what the hell is wrong with you?
Do you truly believe you're justified in tormenting Parrot and Theo like this? Over something that Parrot never asked for? A role he never even knew he had until you showed up?
"Don't you worry! We are about to finish :)"
"Hello, Parrot. I think we have something to talk about :)"
- @th3on3wh0run5th3show
"Fuck..."
Parrot sounds utterly exhausted the moment he recognizes that voice, wings drooping and feathers ruffling.
"Okay... okay, we... we can talk. What's up?"
"Look, I'm bored. I'm tired of this. But I want to finish it. So let's skip to the finale! I will let the last and decisive few clues, and then... You will get your son back. If you kill me :)"
"I am soooo tired. And I have new plans. I need to finish this. Will you play along one last time?"
"I can still get him back?"
Parrot's voice cracks a little, relief flooding his voice. He honestly had no clue whether or not Showtime would've just killed him after his failure last time... especially considering what happened with him and Flame...
"Yeah... y-yeah, I'll play along... I still just have to guess your identity, right? I figure out who you are and you'll let me kill you... you'll let me get Phoenix back?"
"Yes, yes, yes, you can get him back. I wouldn't harm him, and it's the only way to let you play."
"Well, I'll give you a clue. I'm someone very similar to your beloved Wifies :)"
"See you soon. Think about it."
They turned around, as if to leave already.

"Well, Val. Things are taking a turn. :)"
A voice echoes from the gate of her cell, followed by a faint, sad laughter.
The door opens, but they don't come inside.
"Come out.'
- @th3on3wh0run5th3show
Valerie perks up at the sound of a voice, sitting up from her bed. She quickly gets off and takes a few cautious steps forward, poking her head out of the cell to see if there were any traps.
"Is this a trick of sorts? Another taste of freedom you're giving me?"
"Nope. Really, plans have changed. Come on, we don't have all day."
They start walking down the hallway, leaving the door open.
Valerie hesitantly follows, her posture tese as she goes into step slightly behind them.
"What... Exactly are we doing? Do I get to see my loves again?"
"Yeah, you do."
They kept walking through the maze of corridors, up until a giant room like anything they've seen before: a circular, white area, empty except for two pressure plates. The sky could be seen above.
"Okay. We're going to Capital city. It has fallen, so I don't know where Parrot is. If I'm correct, Flame should be there, or at least Saps will have a clue as to where he is."
"Capital City has fallen? Why haven't I heard of this news yet? Was I in captivity for a long time?"
"Oh yeah. It's been soooo long. Anyways, yeah. There's a staircase there, in the walk. Go up and... I don't know, go there."
"Now now. I have something to order you. If you wish to live happily forever, you are to convince Flame to keep working for Cindercrest. If he were to leave... Something might happen. :)"
"Well, Val. Things are taking a turn. :)"
