Witches can tell when one is being deceitful, they can also tell when people sneak up on them, something the young prince soon learned.

The entire court had planned it. Whispers of marriage reached the very small council of people who knew her existence. But those plans were very much squashed when rumors spread around of a certain maid tackling a certain heir. If they couldn’t ensure the safety of the kingdom by marriage they’d find another way, damn it all. So at the age of fifteen, Airlea and Young Prince were bonded by the ancient blood. Now for the rest of her life she would be tied down to the crown like.

At sixteen she was formally present besides the prince at his coronation day. At sixteen she prevented two wars between the north kingdom and the east. At seventeen she solved more issue towards the kingdoms people then any king combined since the last Lady Mage. Although . . . that’s not what the people know.

For all they know it was the Kings idea, but it was Airlea hiding behind his shadow as he took credit for it. A plan they both agreed on. Sure he also helped, but any war plan or evasion came from her. All the subject knew was that she helped farmers with their crops and started developing safe medicine.
