damonhiggins:
Damon wouldn’t lie, he was entirely confused about why he was here. The whole premise of Greek Mythology being real confused him, but after the couple of weeks he’d spent here he’d come to believe it. The only thing which annoyed him was that he hadn’t been claimed yet. It was typical, he’d never had a parent who cared for him and even now, while he sat around feeling sorry for himself, he didn’t have one. It made him wonder whether he even really belonged here. Of course it explained the things that had happened on the outside of the camp, but why hadn’t his Dad claimed him yet?
“What are you looking at?” He raised an eyebrow at someone stood across from him. His attitude had only got worse since he’d got here, he couldn’t help it.
“Spoken like a truly wound up freshie.” They never came to camp any differently, “Take a breather, kid. Life’s not that fucking hard here.” If anything it was easier, or he’d thought so, even if he’d never really liked being at camp. It was stifling, he didn’t like being segregated. “Honestly, you look like you’re about to implode.”
