Alright, people! Announcement time!

People have kept asking for patterns and stuff and that got me thinking 🤔

And then it got me taking notes and preparing for a little experiment 🔬

I’m currently working on a pattern/instructions for a relatively simple crocheted Rocky the Eridian from Project Hail Mary

And the plan is to post it here and gather some feedback on it (you know, whether I did a good job and made everything easily understandable) and to gauge interest, all that jazz 👍

So, I’m going to keep you guys posted and then I hope we all can have some fun being creative together 😜

Currently making Rocky from Project Hail Mary and, you know, I told myself I’d keep it simple, just an uncomplicated blob with five sticks poking out of it…

And now I’ve spend the last I don’t know how many hours looking at a video of that damn puppet trying to figure out the shapes and markings of each individual leg.

Why am I like this.

no pressure, i know you're creating these as you go, but if you ever jotted down a patterns to sell on ravelry etc...👀 i would definitely pay you for crochet!murderbot pattern. just saying! love and joy in your creations!

But I couldn’t tell you how to make this little SecUnit even if I tried 😅

I went completely with the spirit of the subject matter and employed Murderbot’s preferred method of „oh shit, oh shit, what am I doing?“ throughout the entire creation process… 😅😅😅

But definitely something to think about…

hii!! Your crochet dolls are so cute!! My favourites are the rex and cody dolls 😊 it’s so impressive how you perfect all the details of the armour. I was curious; approximately how long did it take to make each doll?

The short answer: it took ages 😅

Long answer: I’m not really sure just how many hours it took, but I worked on them for several hours over quite a few days each… and I obviously also have other things to do 😜 so it was several weeks before they were done

It would have been quicker if I‘d had a pattern, but since I just vaguely based them on one and then figured the rest out as I went, I also had to redo some parts or make some details several times before I was satisfied with the result 😅🤷

That added even more hours 😵‍💫 (worth it though 😊)
