She pivoted on her heels, looking down at a girl with a tale- what an interesting life form- she remarked. This must be her attacker, her abductor, her latest enemy:  ”It is a bit rude to interrupt, but none the less, you have abducted me and caused my lack of memory and taken away any hope of regaining it.” She hunched down and looked down at the person in the eye.

"Who are you and why?" Her eyes flashed. "What planet are we on? And why did you capture my memories?" All the questions flew out. She looked around, "This place feels off." She tapped on a rock. "What technology are you concealing from me?"

"Allia?" The blonde questioned in a bewildered tone. What the hell was she doing there? Without missing a beat, the dark haired girl began spouting off tons of questions. Rikki stared at her in confusion and shook her head. "I don't have a clue what you're talking about. You're on Earth, remember?" Maybe she was on the coo-coo train. A sigh fell from her lips as she realized she was going to have to explain Mako to her yet again. "It's Mako," Rikki replied bluntly in hopes she would just remember.

She washed up on shore- not sure how though. Actually she wasn’t sure of much. She coughed and remembered she wasn’t here in the first place last time she remembered was she was on a planet- far away.

She hiked up and found herself in a hollow volcano. She coughed, and looked in, she had regenerated- that was surmised as much. 

But who was she originally? A Time-Lord yes, but who?

She looked up at the hole, seeing a crescent moon.

"Who am I?"  she called up at it, "As if you’d know." She scoffed.

It was a rather gloomy day on the Gold Coast. Not very attractive. The waves were violent and the wind blew mad. But, anyone who knew Rikki knew it could be monsooning or one hundred degrees outside, it didn't matter. She always made it a point to take at least one daily swim. Mako was a safe haven, and nothing would deter her from pursuing it. It was an escape from reality. It took the blonde longer than usual to reach the island that day due to the disgusting conditions. Riptides, currents, waves; it was a madhouse out there.

The moment her head broke the surface of the water, she pulled herself out of the chilly water and onto more suitable land. That swim hadn't been very enjoyable. It's a bit hard to enjoy yourself when it's like swimming through ice. Shivering, Rikki decided to take a break before returning home. Not a second after she metamorphose, a womanly voice echoed through the cave's interiors. She pretty much jumped a foot in the air before crossing her arms and calling back. "Hello?" Rikki questioned in a weary, slightly annoyed tone.

Honestly. What is so exciting about some off grid island to these people? I just sure as hell hope this trend ends. And quick.

She breathed in the air, “They would not care for my taste.” She shuddered, though, imagining the waste of a great body. She stuffed the screwdriver back in the elastics.

Continuing to change air in and out again, “It is marvellous down there.”

"You probably wouldn't want to find out either way," Rikki replied with a wince at the brutal thought. Mako Island was only a couple hundred feet away, the mysterious aura drawing her in. "It is, isn't it?"

Taking a few quick breaths, the blonde motioned her head towards Mako. "C'mon, let's get to the moon pool. It's only a two minute swim from here, you'll have enough air."

She treadled water for a few seconds before exhaling and shutting her bi-pass off, giving a thumbs up, she dove deeper in a bit and kicked, the water burnt her eyes for a second and saw through that.

Oh joy! It was hectic under the water, all the different schools of fish and fauna, coral, and other water things, light pierced the waters making them clear, yet blue at the same time!

She couldn’t swim all that fast so her thirty minutes were up soon, taking the screw driver she let the sonic sound echo through water motioning up that she needed a kick start of air.

The reef was buzzing with life; sharks, dolphins, rays, and all sorts of tropical fish. Beautiful, as usual. For a moment, Rikki had almost forgotten Allia was with her, being so caught up in the peaceful aura of the sea. Looking back at the brunette, she slowed to almost a complete stop.

Rikki had to admit, it was almost a strange burden to have to swim so slow for a non-mermaid. A rather loud echoing noise boomed through the water, startling her a bit. Allia was quite a few feet above her; Rikki had gotten distracted, no surprise. She swam to the surface quickly, popping up, still having a decent amount of air. "The mako sharks can be triggered by sonar sounds like that, I would be careful if I were you."

She unzipped her boots and waded out, “This is quite warm.” She moaned, “It is positively glorious.” She placed them in a neat pile, shrugging off her jacket. 

Once she had properly folded up her jacket and stuffed her sonic/laser screwdriver in the waistband of her tights, she thought it was a good idea to remove all of her jewellery and add it to the pile, “Only the essentials.” She tapped on the wristband her vortex manipulator was held on. 

"Now we go?" She asked politely.

"It's great," she replied with a small hum of content, swishing the tail once lightly. It was true, the water was amazingly warm. Allia took her time carefully removing all of her pieces of valuable clothing and jewelery.

After finally completing her getting ready process, it made Rikki even more thankful to be able to just dive in and go. "Follow me," she said with a grin. "If you need anything or are having issues, just give me some kind of signal." Without further delay, the blonde dragged herself out to the deeper water and dived underwater. Starting off, there wasn't much to look at, just sand and blueness ahead. Rikki moved her hips slowly, propelling herself forward and glancing back to ensure the girl was okay.

"Forty minutes?" She gasped, "You must really be part fish!" She laughed kicking the sand up a little, she wished she had a chance to feel it, but this was more important. First things first, however. She had to not miss out on this.

"What do  do about my clothing? It does not pop off like yours, no?" she asked tugging at the leather jacket by the lapels. This was an issue, she’s rightfully stolen it from a curious little speak-easy in Berlin at the year 1931.

"Yeah, you could say that," Rikki replied with a nonchalant shrug of her shoulders. After five or so minutes of walking, the two arrived at the oh-so familiar private beach. A feeling of confusion came over her as Allia mentioned her clothes. Rikki kicked off her shoes simply before replying.

"You'd be fine if you just took off the jacket. Salt water is positively buoyant, you'll float just fine if you need to. I won't dive deep for your sake, we won't go more than twelve feet down." With a slight huff, Rikki motioned towards the waves before taking a few large strides into the water. Her legs quickly formed into the large tail as expected. After submerging herself completely in the shallow water, Rikki resurfaced, waiting for the dark haired girl.

She thought for a bit, “If I turn my bi-pass on, it can be for about 30 minutes.” she said, “But then again, we could do a quick pop up for air.” She added, “I’m not that strong a swimmer.” She frowned.

She raised her eyebrow, “How long is it in a normal timing?"

A smirk fell onto the blonde's lips as she motioned for Allia to follow her. "It's not that far of a swim, we'll be there in thirty minutes easily. We'll just start from the beach, the canal takes longer and is pretty boring to navigate around in."

Walking out of the cafe, Rikki made her way down to the private beach a little ways east. "Normal people can only hold their breath for a minute or so. I can hold my breath for about forty minutes now, it grows every year."

She laughed a harsh laugh, “Same thing would happen to me, well not same, my bodily fluids could lead to a war breaking out if a drop of my blood fell into the wrong hands.” She smiled a sort of co-in-siding smile, “I understand about that bit.”

She entered in the co-ordinates of the beach they were on, “Shall we do a return trip?”

It now seemed to Rikki that Allia and her were slightly alike, in a weird kind of way. Disregarding the first statement, Rikki nodded in agreement. "Let's do it," she replied with a small smile and quirk of an eyebrow.

The light blonde shaked her head once, waving her hand once. "No need for those, I know how to get there. I'll take you, show you the moon pool entrance and all. Now, how long can you hold your breath?"

She clicked the button off and fixed it back to her wrist. She also destroyed her notes., “Imagine if someone found these?” She said sweeping off dust on the table onto the floor.

"Show me?" She asked, interested. "And that would impose what?’ She said, her scientist in her broadly showing.

A slight feeling of fear washed over the blonde as Allia imposed that someone could have found the notes. "I'd be in a circus in no time," she said with a small snort and roll of her eyes. The remains of the once notes fell to the floor into nothing.

"Bring you to the moon pool..you know, show you the stimulation of the full moon. Maybe that will help figure things out."

She brought up the month of June that year on her vortex manipulator and took it off, laying it down on the table to show her, “Here is that month, we will go a day a for 3 seconds on here, this is the solar system from an omniscient point of view.” She explained.

The vortex manipulator brought up a hologram, “Maybe planetary alignment, “she then fast forwarded to the full moon.” It looks like a normal time constraint to me.”

"And this tentacle, it’s attacks you only after it has given you power?" She asked cocking her head to the side.

"I don't think it's anything special. Just a full moon," she continued. Leaning back in the chair and propping her foot up on the chair next to her, Rikki crossed her arms and studied the planets carefully.

"It only attacks on a full moon. From the moment the moon rises, to the moment it sets it is out to get us. The moon pool is made of moon rock. It's complicated. Maybe it would be easier to just..show you."

"He’s human, maybe he does not have technology or the breadth of galaxies." She hypothesised.

"Hmmm, euhhh." She started muttering in a voice only Rikki could hear, "Maybe if not genetic, then nature versus nurture thrown in with what ever happened on Mako, in this pool." She started doing a three dimensional graph of the solar system on a napkin. 

"Tides, hm. What was the date of this transfiguration? We can access a model of the galaxy at that exact time." She asked.

"I guess it's possible.." Rikki trailed off into oblivion, considering all of the other possible causes to this. "It was three years ago, sometime in June. Full moon." There was so much to tell, so many details. Yet, somehow she knew it was safe to say it now. Allia has earned her trust, so she should give her some credit.

"This moon pool generates a waterfall that flows out of straight rock. And a..tentacle, thing of water. That attacks us. Only on a full moon though. But I know how to stimulate a full moon now."
