So ya Future Islands
I am so. So tired. XD
The best part of the night was definitely the bit where some guy pressed his entire self up against my back and buried his face in my hair and started calling me “a fucking bitch”. That was pretty cool. I was 100% prepared to turn around and slug him, but then he disappeared suddenly. So no slugging necessary.
But I finally saw Future Islands tonight!!!
Damn was that a good show.

That boy has such a good face. And also legs. And also butt.
I do so love a voluptuous man.
I got a major kick in the balls during Spirit, which I wasn’t expecting! I mean, that song is hella great, but live it is ungodly. The fucking power. I don’t usually dance and jump around at concerts, but there really is no avoiding it during Spirit.
And they encored with Inch of Dust!!!!! My roommate and I just sort of started screaming and threw our arms around each other for a minute. Damn that’s a cool song. So feelings, so power, so goth.
And I was thrilled that they did Haunted By You. I truly, deeply, and utterly love that song. A few tears may have been shed for that one. I mean, he directed the entire song at us. What was I supposed to do? NOT have a deeply personal emotional experience?
Also Doves. May I say: quality body rolls.
Ugh. So great. I’ve got the feedback buzz in my ears and I sweated so much and I am so tired and it was so the best thing ever. I am so glad I got those tickets all those months ago; they say a Future Islands show is unlike any other. And that is hella true.
I fucking love Future Islands.
