hi there & welcome to my gay basketball sideblog :)
🩷 when i first became a wnba fan in 2019, i saw a professional sports league where being gay was not only accepted but celebrated - and i was in love. i needed that space so badly back then as a closeted young woman, and i treasure it even more now as an out and proud adult.
❤️ on this page, i want to archive content of sapphic and gender nonconforming wnba players, their friendships, and their relationships. the wnba is abundant with incredible expressions of queer love, big and small. let’s celebrate it all together! 💌
🧡 i post active and retired players who are publicly out or have been in openly queer relationships. if you want to see specific players or relationships that i don't post already, just send me an ask! :)
💛 this blog is friendly to users of all ages and fans of all varieties! whether you're here for the women, the basketball, or both, you've come to the right place 🫶
💚 any new wnba fans who want to learn are always welcome to send asks or messages with basketball questions (i keep a tag for it). no question is dumb here! (seriously - you could ask me what a layup is.) want to learn some of the league's history instead? check out my wnba lore and retired wnba players tags 😊
🩵 my messages are always open if you want to talk hoops, players/relationships, queer culture, advice, or anything else you can think of :) i love talking to people - come say hi!
💙 it might take me a few days to get to your ask, especially if you want to know my opinion on something serious or if you’re asking me to explain something that has a lot of detail! i like to take my time with these type of questions and give them complete and thoughtful answers, but i am also a busy adult with a full time job and limited free time. i appreciate any patience w these - i promise i’m getting to it! 🫶
