My main blog is @TheRoseTestament! My crazy Helluvaverse (mainly Hazbin Hotel) rewrite that kind of became its own thing. The Crowned Princess Calmana Ben Shacar of Hell and the Pride Ring, also referred to as Carma, embarks on a mission to fulfill her dreams of making a hotel specialised in redeeming Sinners in order to save them from the annual Exterminations and tackle overpopulation in Hell. Despite her passion project being yet to be proven possible, Carma perseveres through her problems alongside her boyfriend, Seviathan, and some unlikely sponsors.

I would say that I have different favourites for different things and aspects.

1. I would have to say my favourite visual redesign is Valentino Belmonte. (Tumble glitched out and deleted this paragraph so I’m rushing this one) I chose to change his design from a moth to a peacock to fit the damnedverse’s rules of Lust Sinners have bird designs with blue colour pallets. I think the animal itself fits my take on his personality and the idea of a peacocks train replacing Val’s wing-cape is such a stunning idea I’ll probably never be able to draw. A close second is Vincent Hindsite’s soul/face eater design. I feel like it really plays into his analogue horror + cannibalism vibes from the original and his facelessness (besides a giant mouth) shows his dedication to radio over video. I’m also really proud of the decision to make him see the world monochromatically.

2. My favoruite biological redesign is Vox Populi (another I’m yet to post about) as I’ve changed certain things around the mechanics over him changing his head and having gills to actually make sense biologically. A close second is Lucifer Shacar, who actually needs his cane to walk after his fall and has a multitude of viable and hidden weaknesses because of that day, I’m unsure if his cane serves the same purpose in canon but is just not being explicitly stated?

3. My current favourite human-backstory redesign is kind of undecided since hardly any have been confirmed in canon so it’s more of what I came up with on my own. Sooo

4. This could be due to recency bias but my favoruite ship revamp is Widowers. I’ve chosen to merge SnakeBomb and HuskerDust into a ship between Basil Princeton and Charlie Eclipse to remove clutter from the cast and have more defined and expanded relationships and I have grown to love their dynamic and angst so much! Close seconds are (of course) the main two couples A&E and Carmathan as well as what I’m going to with Lyra and the Exorcist Commander later on in the story.

5. Overall, I would have to say my favoruite current ret-con has to be Charlie Morningstar becoming Carma Ben Shacar. From her out-of place name becoming Carma, to Ben Shacar meaning ‘son (child) of Morning’, to her design making her look less like a gender swap of Lucifer. I also just love what I’ve decided to change about her lore and power ranking (some of this yet to be revealed) as well as the dynamic I’ve managed to make out of the Princess of Pride (the embodiment of confidence) dating the Duke of Envy (the embodiment of admiration). I also adore her new dynamic with her father, making the moments of parent-child interactions between them feel all the more earned.

In short, I love them all equally but some are currently more developed than others. However, don’t take this love as hesitancy to kill them off like certain writers.

Sherri Bomb

Sherri Bomb (renamed to distinguish her from the original) is actually the first guest at The Purgatory Hotel! I currently don’t have a design from her but the basic story is that during one of her turf wars, Sherri blew up a property owned by oneof Hell’s royalty. Luckily for her, Carma managed to get her out of trouble under the deal (verbal, not a SBD) that she would be the patient zero of her rehabilitation project.

Sherri is an Australian woman who died in the 1980s and while I haven’t gotten around to planning her human life yet, she has manifested in Hell as a Gluttony Sinner.

If you have any ideas or concepts you’d love to see for a Cherry Bomb rewrite, I’d love to hear them and potentially incorporate them into my universe!

Sera & Emily

The characters Sera and Emily will not be appearing in this universe. However, their motivations, personalities and plot presence (most notably Emily’s) will be given to the Angel characters of my universe as I’ve chosen to include Angels who are actually named in scriptures instead.

Hello! So sorry for the late answer.

The true identity of Carma’s older siblings is…

Satan! The Sin of Wrath.

She was originally born a Nephilim, to Lucifer and Lilith (when she was still a Human). Lilith was still with Adam in Eden at the time and, upon discovering her pregnancy, fled to the outside world. Adam mistook this as Lilith running from him specifically and the three Archangels were sent by The Lord to retrieve her. By the time they finally located Lilith, Satan and her other Nephilim siblings were already born.

In retaliation to Lilith refusing to return to the Garden, the children were drowned by the Angels. Unfortunately, Lucifer was only able to save Lilith when he arrived from Hell. Using the embers of his Holy Magic, he turned Lilith into a Psuedo-Sinner so she could survive Hell’s climate and the two fled. They ended up leaving his halo behind, as mentioned in this post.

Years later, after Eve committed the “first sin”, the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Bad began to rot and decay. Born from the trunk was Satan, the Root of Evil and Sin. It was later confirmed this was the soul of one of the couple’s late children. This was caused by Nephilim souls being unable to be judged like those of Humans.

Her design is based on a Manticore and Chimera.

This is because I wanted lions and scorpions to be symbols of the Wrath Ring, however goats and serpents are symbols of Lucifer. So it all tied together pretty nicely.

Idioms/Hell Phrases:

YOLT; “You Only Live Twice” —> A Sinner’s version of YOLO, often pronounced like colt but with a Y. Another popular version of this is #YODT; You Only Die Twice, however this is rarely said out loud as it’s an awkward acronym.

The Heaven? —> The Hell? This one is obvious.

Antichrist or Holy Satan —> The Hell version of saying Christ’s name in vain.

OSL; Oh sweet Lucifer! —> The Hell version of OML/OMG; ‘Oh my Lord/God’.

Go/Went through Earth and back —> The Hell version of ‘go/went through Hell and back’.

For the Sin of it —> The Hell version of ‘for the Hell of it’.

Lucifer forbid! —> The Hell version of ‘Heaven/God forbid’.

See you on Earth —> The Hell version of ‘see you in Hell’.

The snake is obviously a defence to himself however it is also a reference to his daughter, Satan, for reason not yet revealed

A Seraphim has six wings; 2 wings on their ankles to show their status, 2 wings on their back to fly, 2 wings on their head to shield their eyes from The Lord

Lucifer previously had blonde hair which lost its angelic glow (becoming auburn) after his damnation, however has been greying ever since Carma was born

Forgot to mention that Lucifer actually needs his cane to walk, without pain at least, due to injuries he sustained either from the fall or the fight before — he keeps his physical health private from Hell due to his Pride so it’s more of a show-don’t-tell part of his character.

Somehow I forgot to mention this but there are technically 9 types of sinners, not 8:

Pseudo-Sinners

A Pseudo-Sinner is a soul who meets certain requirements to be a normal Sinner but doesn’t quite tick all of the boxes.

The major example of a Pseudo-Sinner is Lilith, she has black blood like a Hellborn unlike a Sinner’s red blood. She is a human soul that became a demon when she went to Hell, however, she did not die on Earth. What happened was this instead:

When Lilith fled the Garden of Eden, the three Archangels were sent after her to bring her back to Adam.

This is explained in further detail here.

When Lucifer finally heard of this news and intervened to save Lilith, he had no choice but to take her to the one place the Angels and even The Lord couldn’t find her. Hell. In order to do that, Lucifer used some embers of Angelic Power to turn Lilith prematurely into a Sinner-Succubi-like Demon. This way her soul would be much harder to exterminate and she would be in practically no danger while in Hell.

As a result of casting such an intense spell, the magic used to keep Lucifer’s halo floating above his head was momentarily weakened. This lead to it falling off of him, causing him to leave it behind as he rushed Lilith through a portal leading to the safety of Hell.

The Archangels then used what remained of Lucifer’s halo to prove his involvement in Lilith’s escape to The Lord.

Another example is our lovely main character, Carma, herself.

As the child of Lucifer and an originally Human mother, she is technically Pseudo-Sinner. Unlike most Demons in Hell, her blood is orange.

Merry Christmas dear Sinners!

As I did for Halloween, today I share my concept for a Damned’s Endeavour Christmas episode!

Season 1, Episode 12: Merry Anti-Christmas!

Helluva Boss Jumpscare

Just like last time, this episode will have two plot points.

A Plot — Despite the residents of the hotel participating in a Secret Santa, Seviathan seems strangely hung up about everybody getting presents for Carma. Seviathan spends most the episode trying to stop Carma from turning Christmas into another team building exercise and to actually relax and enjoy the holiday.

B Plot — Basil receives Charlie for Secret Santa and so he spends the entire episode trying to get him the perfect present that not only will he enjoy but will hopefully end their rivalry for too, which would really make Carma happy.

At some point in the episode, the residents convince Adam to dress up as Santa Claus at their party by tricking Eve into wearing a Mrs. Claus outfit. However, poor Basil is absent from the hotel all episode and is unaware this fact so he also turns up in a Santa costume.

Plot Reveals/World Building

At the end of the episode it’s revealed the reason Seviathan has been so worried about Carma is because Christmas/Anti-Christmas is Carma’s birthday!

Here it is explained that Carma’s royal birthday is the day Lucifer announced her birth to Hell — the exact same day Christ was born. Lucifer declared Carma as his Antichrist, who would carry on his legacy and finally damn all of humanity to Hell. Obviously, Carma is currently doing the exact opposite of her ‘purpose’ through The Purgatory Hotel, which is why her father has cut her off in Episode 1: Overture.
