Another favourite of mine, though I didn’t learn about her until well after she was out of the public eye.  Maila Nurmi as Vampira.  I think I may have first seen her in Plan 9 from Outer Space as a kid and not known who she was or recognized her as anything other than a bit part in a movie.

The most recent Horror Hostess I followed was Jami Deadly.  She did a series called Deadly Cinema, and it was pretty fun.  Yes, the focus was her being kind of a bombshell, but the skits and heckling were pretty funny as well.

I’ll close out this season with Horror Hostesses.  I’ll start with one I’ve never seen, but I’ve heard about:  Ravena, and her sidekick Anok.  They were based out of Seattle in around 1998.

A lot of people do fun things with jack’o’lanterns.  Most seem to involve fire, but that seems kind of a cheat.  The moving eyes one kind of freaks me out, but in a good way ;)

A couple of days of kind of unrelated posts.  Today is decorated houses, of which I’m a big fan :)

Bela Lugosi.  Seeing his picture from when he was younger, I can believe the stories of the women who became enthralled by him in the play.  Trivia bit:  He was in more Frankenstein movies than Dracula movies.

Boris Karloff.  Plus one extra, with all of the last four :)

I’ve kind of hesitated to put up pictures of Vincent Price.  Not because I don’t love him...I really do.  But because I only wanted to put up 3-4 pictures of any actor/actress, and choosing just a few is a very difficult job.  Though that one with Kermit may be my favorite.

Basil Rathbone.  Mostly known for playing Sherlock Holmes, he was widely considered the best fencer and sword-fighter in Hollywood in his day.
