Introducing John Bishop as a new companion?

I am so tired, y’all. I am just so so fatigued.

This is not about the actor John Bishop. Just like this wasn’t about Bradley Walsh and it wasn’t about Matt Lucas- those actors actually sound like rad humans- this is not about John Bishop. (I don’t even know who that is tbh) and it doesn’t matter- he could be the sweetest, funniest comedian on planet earth. This is about Doctor Who, after having literally decades and decades worth of white characters on the TARDIS, not being able to imagine a season without a white man as a part of the main cast. It’s not like there wouldn’t be white men in the episodes- they run into them all the time.

Thasmin or not, 13 and Yaz deserve better character development and you can’t do that if you keep adding middle aged white companions and giving them the best writing.
