Mystic Braves - 8/21/2014 @ Santa Monica Pier
I’ve been following this band for quite sometime now. I known of them when they still called themselves ‘Blackfeet Braves’ . Seeing them live was definitely on my to do list and when I finally did, I was not disappointed. They opened for the always super groovy; The Zombies. The only bummer was they had a short set list but the song choices were to the point on what I expected them to play. They played more songs off their sophomore album. What’s really neat about this band is that they bring a recycled, refreshed genre to the table. They have a 60s feel that not only is nostalgic for those who were alive during the time but also brings in the newer generation who wish they were alive during that psychedelic decade. From their looks which actually seem genuine and not staged to their sound; they are a band that should be payed more attention to. I shall be posting some songs and possibly giving reviews on their both and only albums. Give em a listen, and let me know what y’all think?
Oldies rule forever!

Vinyls vs everything I personally prefer vinyls. There's a rawness to listening to one of your favorites bands on your record player. What do you think?
Lesley Gore - You Don't Own Me
A song way ahead of it's time. Self-empowerment, ladies!
Out of all the songs I've heard about feminine power none has gotten me like this one.
Barbara Lynn - You'll Lose A Good Thing
One of those good break up songs you can sing your heart out.
El Chicano - Sabor A MI
Thanks to a lovely recommendation from radbrainzz. One of my faves and hopefully soon to be yours.
Keeping up with my "oldies ruler forever" segment
