Sunflower

I just watched the movie “Sierra Burgess is a loser”. I’m not gonna talk about the movie or the actors. I know you want me to say how handsome Noah is.. But no, not today sorry! I was actually wanted to speak about the song. 

The Sunflower song. This song got me so bad, I mean I saw the movie an hour ago and I’m listening to this song again and again. It’s like a poem that accidentally found notes! This song, god, is so much more than a rom-com soundtrack. There’s pain in those lyrics... She literally sings “If I were a rose maybe you’d want me, if I could I’d change overnight, I’d turn into something you like”. Those days we always hearing things like “love yourself”, “you’re perfect just the way you are” and all those positive comments on social media. But this song actually confess that she’s willing to change if that’s what the guy wants. I don’t say that is good, but in my opinion it’s the most real thing in the latest rom-com movies... and yes of course it has a happy ending, it’s still a teen movie! And we need the happy end I’m not against it. I just really enjoy the little realism, that she actually thought about changing herself... I felt those lyrics.. Really really deep!! I totally believe that you must N-O-T change for anyone, I thing that you must always stay true to yourself, but I would lie if I tried to convince you that I never though to change to be more likable... So thanks Sierra Burgess for reminding me that no matter what happens I should let it all out and love my self more! 

Cause you know what? Besides the happy end, She didn’t change for anyone, she stayed a funny 🌻!
