when they knead you it’s because they feel comforted
they think of you petting them as grooming- it makes them feel good so they will ask for you to pet them (or demand) especially if they’re feeling sad
cats like to step on you because they mark you with their scent from their little feet telling other cats BACK THE FUCK OFF THIS HUMAN IS MINE
cats will lick you or groom you because they want you to be clean and happy

I'm sorry for disappearing for a few days. I'm not dropping any threads or anything. School starts in a few days, and I've been getting ready for the new year. I'm still here, and I'll try to be as active as I can, but I may disappear for a few days at a time. Hope your school year goes well!

I wouldn’t be surprised.” The puppet was trying hard to cheer the kid up. He was right it wasn’t fair that she quit, but it must have been a strain on her heart to come here after what happened.
“I hope she is. She was good, she was gonna be the best doctor ever.” Lenny sniffs. He always thought so highly of his mother.
“But now she’s sad. An it’s my fault for dying.” He curls in on himself a bit, crying a little harder. “Do you think she’s mad at me?”

“I don’t even see mama anymore…” Lenny sat down, hugging himself.
“She doesn’t come here anymore… I don’t see her going in and out the kitchen.” Lenny sighed, he would start crying at this point if he weren’t already.
The puppet moved to comfort the child. “She probably stopped working here. I don’t blame her, it must be tough for her to even come near here. But I’m sure where ever she is. Your always on her mind.”
“It’s because of me, isn’t it? She quit her job because I died.” Lenny looks down, feeling guilty.
“That’s not fair. She liked it here. She was gonna be a doctor one day, you know.” He thought back to when he would study with his mother in their small apartment. He barely understood any of the material, but enjoyed those times nonetheless.
