I have never been more happy to have anything tattooed on me than this. The Front Bottoms have helped me through a lot, and this is my reminder to look past my anxiety and get out there instead of watching from the sidelines. 🤘🏼

The Long:

I Hate My Friends is the first studio album released by The Front Bottoms. It’s an absolute classic and has the quintessential sound TFB are known for. From the prominent acoustic guitar, bright piano, to Brian Sella’s raw vocals, this has it all. From Brian’s opening vocals it’s clear this is a low-fi record. This album shows great insight into how far TFB has come, from the basic music arrangements and simple lyrics, to their more complex and formulated work they put out today. But by all means simple DOESN’T mean bad. In fact I think that the simplicity of the songs adds to overall greatness of the album. The unpolished and raw feel of this album leaves me uneasy recommending it to anyone not already in love with TFB. But if you’re already a fan, then this is a MIST listen to. There is no official place to get this album so just check it out on YouTube here.
