*** We are almost halfway through the year and as of right now, ‘The Witch’ is my favorite film of the year. I honestly can say that I do not see that changing. This film is a masterwork of cinema; from its writing, its cinematography and its production design, as well as its incredible ensemble of actors. I cannot wait to see what director Robert Eggers accomplishes next with his remake/reimagining of ‘Nosferatu’, as well as his future in todays cinematic society. This is one film that begs to be seen. Please, do yourselves a favor and live deliciously. ***
