It’s been a week as her friend was placed in the dungeons of the castle and the princess locked herself up in her room in misery. Realizing the uselessness of her actions she finally decided as of lately, words had to be exchanged for surely now there would a sense of mistrust and misunderstanding between the two friends. The imperial witch glanced around as she tucked in her coat closer to her. Where she was heading she definitely needed it, the dungeons were a cool area after all. She shivered as she held her lantern with a trembling hand holding it out towards the dark to illuminate her path as she walked down the stairs carefully. She would not use her magic here in the case it would alarm Aryll of an attack. As she got closer to her destination of the specific jail cell anxiety filled her insides choking her slowly as she dreaded their encounter. Before her friend was dragged off she had to put on the acts she hated so much but she did what she did so both could survive…yes she would do anything to ensure the other survived even if she went all along hating her. She took a deep breath as she paused her movements“…H-hello Aryll.” She barely whispered as she peered through the bars of her friend’s cell.
Spending several days in a unsettling dungeon has reminded her of the years she spent in a horrid place. But, it was different…for she was alone. Forced to reflect on past events, leading to now. The adolescent didn’t even to think tactics of escape, for she is too scared to even try. It would just bring her quest of meeting her sister face to face to an end. She is so close to her elder sibling, being in the same castle as her couldn’t be any closer. Their reunion will have to be put on hold just a little longer. So she had no choice but to let her life slowly slip from her grasp. Her condition was worsening with every breath she takes. Spending this amount of time without her medicine is bad, life threatening. Her powers have also weakened to the point she couldn’t use them, so she couldn’t replenish her health. Any longer in this dungeon and…
The spark of light enlighten the girl behind bars. She was in a corner huddled with her knees tucked up, head down, arms wrapped around her shins. A lustrous object sat beside her, reflecting light revealing what it is; a bell. A small wilted flower fasten with red ribbon is attached to it. She seemed to not hear the words spoken by her friend; but felt a warm presence and the glim’s light. Lifting her head, her face showed a deadpan expression.
She expelled her breath, her voice tense. “…Who-” Just as she began to speak, coughs arise; interrupting her from finishing her sentence.
She felt guilty when she first saw her friend's miserable expression. It was almost like her heart stopped for that moment and it really broke her heart. She didn't mean to let her friend be locked up in a terrible place lined with corpses of former prisoners. Her friend had always been sickly to the point she could die. With the flick of her wrist, she confjured up the keys she had left in her room. She struggled to open the cell for a minute and when she opened the large iron doors she sat down politely kneeling next to her. Noticing the bell sitting next to her, it was a pretty bell too, Kuro wanted to ask where she got it. It must have held some signifcant meaning but she shook her head. No, she was being distracted. She was to do something here, and she would do it now.
"...It's the traitorous princess of Reina" She laughs bitterly almost to mock herself clenching the folds of her dress. She holds the lantern angled at a point where it would reveal her face. Still sitting from under her cloak she had pulled out a neatly concealed basket. It was full of food, a thermos of water, and a vial of clear liquid. "...That's medicine Al, you should take it first."She mutters quietly. She knew her friend wouldn't live without it but she didn’t know of Al’s home, so Kuro had to brew a cure on her own and fast. In panic she hoped she hadn't messed up the medicine since she rushed it but it's her best bet. It would relieve her of pain for a few days before it wore off. She breathed in before saying a statement rather desperately.“I’m horrible aren’t I? Letting you suffer here like this. I do not care if you hate me but I want you to live. So please.. take the medicine, eat as much and drink this water...”
