Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement by a wizard) ___ This stained leather tome is equal parts spellbook and cookbook. You gain a +5 bonus to any ability check you make using cook’s utensils while attuned to it. When found, the book contains the following spells, which are wizard spells for you while you’re attuned to it: “create food and water”, “goodberry”, “grease”, “heroes’ feast”, and “purify food and drink”. It functions as a spellbook for you, and you can use it as a spellcasting focus for your wizard spells. When you cast a spell and use this book as a focus for it, the air around you in a 5-foot radius is filled with the delicious scent of homemade cuisine (your choice each time). The book also has 7 charges for the following properties. It regains 1d6 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the book dissolves into a delicious (but hot) soup. 𝘾𝙪𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝘾𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜. While the book is on your person, you can expend 1 or more of its charges when you cast one of the spells listed above. For each charge you expend, the level of spell slot needed for that casting of the spell is reduced by 1. If you reduce a spell’s slot level to 0 in this way, you can cast the spell from the book even if you don’t have it prepared. 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙘 𝘾𝙖𝙠𝙚. While the book is on your person, you can use a bonus action to expend 3 of its charges to magically produce a small slice of cake. The cake appears on a small plate either in your hand or in the hand of a willing creature that you can see within 30 feet of you. You choose the flavor of the cake each time, as well as which of the following magical benefits it has. The cake grows stale and loses its magic after 1 hour. Weapon (club or greatclub), uncommon ___ Sharp spikes of flint are pierced through the top of this wooden club. When you hit a target that’s made of metal or wearing metal armor with this magic weapon, it takes an extra 1d4 fire damage from the attack. If you roll a 4 on this fire damage die, you can choose a different target within 5 feet of the original one to also take 1d4 fire damage. 🛡 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Skeletal Armor
Armor (studded leather or hide), rare ___ This armor is covered in hardened bones and skeletal fragments. You can use a bonus action while wearing this armor to transform its skeletal remains into a skeleton that’s one size larger than you (a minimum of Large) for 1 minute; you remain inside the skeleton’s chest cavity for the duration. You then gain 1d10 + 20 temporary hit points: the effect ends early if you no longer have these temporary hit points, if you’re no longer within the chest cavity, or if you end the effect using a bonus action. When the effect ends, any remaining temporary hit points are lost, and the skeleton reforms around the armor as you land in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of it. If the effect ends early as a result of you losing these temporary hit points, you must also succeed on a DC 10 Dexterity saving throw or fall prone. While within the skeleton’s chest cavity, you control it like an extension of your normal form (your AC and other statistics remain the same). When the armor transforms, you can choose to have it wield any weapon you’re holding; any weapon it’s wielding drops to the ground at your feet when the armor returns to its normal form. The skeleton otherwise carries no weapons. For the duration, your reach with your melee attacks as the skeleton increases by 5 feet, and if you move at least 20 feet straight toward a target and then hit it with a melee attack on the same turn, the target must also succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. 💎 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Liulian’s Hexsatchel
Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement) ___ This small leather satchel was once used as a witch’s component pouch for her spells. It can still be used as such, although it’s also pierced by six magic needles that function as darts. A creature hit with a thrown dart takes an extra 1d6 poison damage and must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 minute. When you hit a creature that you poisoned in this way with an attack, it takes an extra 1d6 necrotic damage. A poisoned creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. A creature that succeeds on the saving throw against this effect is immune to it for the next 24 hours. ⚔️ 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Avalanche Hammer
Weapon (maul or warhammer), very rare ___ This frigid hammer carries a block of unmelting ice from the Everglacier encased in steel. This magic weapon deals an extra 1d4 cold damage to any target it hits, or 2d4 if the target is prone. The hammer grows colder with each strike it makes, which are represented with charges. Each time you hit a creature with the hammer, it gains 1 charge, up to a maximum of 5. An unused charge is lost after 1 minute. 𝘼𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙚. If the hammer has 5 charges, you can slam it on the ground in place of one of your attacks as part of the Attack action, expending all its charges and releasing a pummeling wave of snow and ice in a 15-foot cone. Each target in the cone must make a DC 15 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 3d6 bludgeoning damage and 3d6 cold damage and is pushed up to 10 feet away from you and knocked prone. A creature that succeeds on the saving throw takes half as much damage, is only pushed up to 5 feet away from you, and isn’t knocked prone. 📜 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Doom Scroll
Scroll, uncommon ___ This scroll appears to be a “spell scroll”. An “identify” spell reveals its true nature. On the scroll are the apparent mystical words to a random 3rd-level spell; choose or roll a d8 to decide between “bestow curse” (1), “fear” (2), “fireball” (3), “hypnotic pattern” (4), “major image” (5), “sending” (6), “stinking cloud” (7), or “tongues” (8). Regardless of the spell, the words inscribed on the scroll are faulty: a creature that attempts to transcribe the spell or cast it by reading the scroll must immediately succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be incapacitated. A creature that’s incapacitated in this way has a speed of 0. The creature can repeat the saving throw after 10 minutes have passed and whenever it takes damage for the duration, ending the effect on a success. 💎 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Switcheroo Cups
Wondrous item, uncommon ___ These cups are a favorite of tricksters, illusionists, and gamblers. They’re made of a soft porcelain with a pleasing blue pattern, and they typically come in sets of four. While holding one of the cups, you can speak its command word to cause the cup you’re holding to magically switch places with another one that you can see, provided it’s within 10 feet of you. The cups switch instantly, including anything contained within them. A creature can detect the switch with a successful DC 15 Wisdom (Perception) check. Other differences in the cups, such as what’s contained within, may make it more obvious that there was a switch. Once two cups have been switched, neither of those cups can be switched again until the next dawn. The cups’ command word is unique in that it’s an extremely common word (typically “Well,” “Good,” or “See” in Common) but only activates if the holder is also gently tapping the cup (such as conversationally or thoughtfully). ___ ✨ Patrons get huge perks! Weapon (musket), very rare ___ This wide-mouthed musket releases an audible and maniacal laugh whenever it’s fired, in addition to the sound of the blast. This weapon uses 3d6 for its damage dice, instead of 1d12. When at least one of the weapon’s damage dice rolls a 6, the target takes an additional 1d6 psychic damage from the attack. When this happens, if the target is a creature and can understand at least one language, it must also make a DC 16 Charisma saving throw; the target automatically succeeds on this save if it has immunity to psychic damage. ⚔️ 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Wandelabra Staff
Staff, uncommon ___ This staff resembles an especially tall candelabra, with holders made for wands instead of candles. While holding it, harmless candlelights float above each of the empty wand holders; the candlelight appears at the tip of any wand held by it, which slot into the holder like a typical candle. The staff can hold up to three wands. Physically adding a wand to the staff or removing one from it requires an action. While holding the staff, you can use any of its held wands as if they were in your hand. You must still meet the prerequisites for any wand you use in this way, such as being attuned to it. 💍 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Ring of Sharks
Ring, rare (requires attunement) ___ While wearing this ring, you have a swimming speed of 30 feet and can breathe underwater. In addition, sharks are indifferent toward you and will not attack you unless you threaten or harm them. The ring has 3 charges and regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn. While wearing the ring, you can expend 1 of its charges using an action to point at a creature that you can see within 60 feet of you. That creature must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 2d10 piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one, as it’s attacked from below by a Large, illusory shark. The saving throw is made with disadvantage if the creature has fewer than half its maximum hit points remaining, and the damage increases by 1d10 each time that creature is targeted by this effect within 1 hour. ___ ✨ Patrons get huge perks! Wondrous item, common ___ This small ceramic charm resembles a water droplet with a face. It’s roughly two inches tall and can fit comfortably inside a typical water goblet. Its weight is negligible. The charm’s face changes depending on the humidity, impending weather, or water quality it’s surrounded by. For example, its face becomes sickly if placed in water that’s non-potable (including water that’s contaminated or poisoned) or gently pleased when placed in drinkable water. Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement by a monk) ___ These dusty leather footwraps are stitched with a geographic pattern. While wearing them, you gain the following benefits. 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙥 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙚. You gain tremorsense out to a range of 10 feet, and difficult terrain composed of earth or stone doesn’t cost you extra movement. When you expend a ki point to use your Step of the Wind, the range of this tremorsense increases to 30 feet until the start of your next turn. 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙬. When you expend a ki point to use your Flurry of Blows as a bonus action, you can replace any of the unarmed strikes you make as part of it with a special attack. This attack summons an earthen slab from the ground below a target that you can see within 60 feet of you, striking the target with unyielding force before returning to the ground. Treat the attack as if it were a normal unarmed strike, except it ignores half and three-quarters cover. If you use your Stunning Strike on an unarmed strike made in this way, the attack also deals an extra 1d6 bludgeoning damage. ⚔️ 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Vagrant’s Arsenal
Weapon (rapier and pistol), very rare (requires attunement) ___ This pair of weapons once belonged to an unscrupulous yet cunning fighter. If you are proficient with either rapiers or pistols, you are considered proficient with both weapons. The two weapons count as a single item for the purposes of attuning to them, and you needn’t have a free hand to reload the pistol if it’s holding the rapier. You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with either weapon, as well as to any Charisma (Intimidation) check you make while they’re on your person. Whenever you make an attack with Duel (the rapier), you can use a bonus action to immediately make a single ranged attack with Dealt (the pistol); doing so ignores any penalty as a result of being within 5 feet of another creature. When you hit a creature with either Duel or Dealt and roll the highest number on the weapon’s damage die, you can force that creature to make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, refer to the table below and choose which of the creature’s body parts to target with the attack, provided it has them: the creature then suffers the effect associated with that body part and weapon used, which lasts until the end of your next turn. Lastly, if you hit a creature with either weapon and had advantage on the attack roll, you can roll the weapon’s damage die twice and choose either result. Wondrous item, rarity varies (requires attunement by a spellcaster) ___ This dark, translucent orb has a twisting swirl of red, green, and blue inside. Cradling the orb is a twisted cage of obsidian. The orb is about six inches in diameter and can be used as a spellcasting focus. If you know the “chromatic orb” spell, this item also functions as the material component for that spell. The orb has a number of charges based on its rarity, as shown in the table below. It regains all expended charges daily at dawn. You can use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to cast the “chromatic orb” spell from it, using your spell attack bonus. 💎 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Ribbon of Tongue-Tying
Wondrous item, uncommon ___ You can use an action to tie this ribbon in a knot and speak its command phrase (a Gnomish tongue-twister) while focusing on another creature that you can see within 30 feet of you. That creature must then succeed on a DC 13 Intelligence saving throw or be unable to speak or perform the verbal components of spells for 1 minute. The creature can repeat this saving throw at the end of each of its turns for the duration, ending the effect on a success. The effect ends early if you or another creature unties the knot; it unties itself when the effect ends. A creature that can’t understand at least one language is immune to this effect.
