!Rewriting!
Life,
life is strange.
There is no puppet master pulling the strings. No angel or demon on your shoulders. No God or Devil to dictate your after life. Life simply is. At the end of the day, even you can't fully control your life.
The human brain is a mysterious organ that works in weird ways. Sometimes, you lose control of that brain. Sometimes, something takes over…
[name] has been shipped off to a private college by his mother; likely to get him out of her hair. The school is private and besides whatever information is on their very outdated website. There are ghost stories and urban legends that seem like one big rumor.
The biggest red flag of the place? The president and his proxies.
He is almost never seen, hardly heard from. People believe he is behind the mysterious murders, attacks and disappearances surrounding the nearby town. Other's believe he is the one protecting the students from whatever is preventing people from leaving.
Personal beliefs will always cloud judgement. These clouds can determine your survival or your death.
[name] is faced with a challenge to his beliefs. His life as he knows it will change permanently; facing challenges he's only dreamed of or written about. The darkest corners of his mine will be revealed to the world.
Will he find comfort in likeminded people?
Or deny the truth and perish?

Pride Special 2026 - Bitch I’m Gay
Note:
Happy Pride my fellow queer brothers!
I got the random motivation to post something after not really having the time to write a full chapter in a long while. And these special chapters act as practice for things and moments I want to explore later on in the story.
I wanted to explore polyamorous dynamics for potential endings as I realize it's not something that's really seen in fanfics. You spend the whole story chatting it up with everyone only to have to choose in the end. Or the misleading love triangle. Nah. I want em all. All at once. We're all in this together type shit. We all love each other.
So I've written two scenarios. The first is Jeff x Reader x Toby. The second is EJ x Reader x Liu.
This special does contain spoilers for a major plot point for the middle of the story [yeah. the middle. like end of act 2 start of act 3 middle... and who knows when that'll be written.] so keep that in mind if you read this.
And now I have some news!
This story will be back on track soon. I took a boot camp class for IT Support and it has taken up most of my time. However I graduate next month so by August I should be back to full time writing. I have still been planning this out in the background so I've got plenty of foundation for the next handful of chapters. I'm hoping it's enough material to create a consistent upload schedule but we shall see. No promises.
Second, Jinxed will now be posted to AO3, Tumblr and Wattpad [some time tomorrow or Monday]! The links to these accounts will can be found in my bio. Also I have created a Saucepan account. Originally I was going to use Janitor AI to make bots based on Jinxed and its universe, as well as other Creepypasta stuff I wanna explore, but I've recently moved to Saucepan so I'll be making those there.
Third, I have a lot of random side content I've been thinking of for Jinxed. One shots, senarios, incorrect quotes, stuff like that. I also have a ton of scraps from both this version and the old version of Jinxed. However I wasn't quite sure where to put those and how I'd go about managing them.
So that's what Tumblr will be used for. The main story will be there but I'll also be posting any bonus content I come up with and want to share. And once I get everything situated and reach a flow state I'll open up my blog to Asks. That way you guys can ask me questions or send requests for one shots or any chat bot ideas you guys wanna see.
Anyway that's all from me. Once more Happy Pride my dudes.
And for those of you that skimmed through this or skipped it entirely (don't worry. I do that too.):
???: It's pride month! You know what that means!
***: …Huh? What, do you want me to like, possess gay people and become them? Or avoid them entirely?
???: … (:
***: What? What is it?? What do you want!?!?

Time is nothing here.
Days pass by in seconds. Hours pass by in years. The sun rises only for just a moment. Night feels eternal.
I'm starting to think this mansion exists on another plane of existence. The forests surrounding it are crawling with all sorts of creatures. Monsters seen only in nightmares or good horror movies. Animals that are not quite right. Psycho killers on a hunt.
And yet they insist we're still here. That I haven't been brought far.
You now as kids we always imagine what it would be like to have sharp teeth, claws, a tail, features more like an animal than a human.
…No? Just me? Ok then. Anyway-
I never thought what it'd be like if I were to actually acquire these features. What it’d feel like to transform.
What it’d feel like to truly take on a new shape and be reborn into a monster.
I wish I never wanted these things as a kid. Maybe if I were normal. If I were born right. If my mind had just been set straight.
Maybe I wouldn't be here again. Once more feeling ashamed for what I am. For who I am. Maybe I’d be spending my day flaunting my pride with a group of new friends. New normal friends.
Or maybe I’d be off pretending to be a dude bro to fit in. Wearing a mask to hide my true nature. Fighting desperately to just be the same.
But I’m not.
And I never will be.
I’ll always be this fucked up, hot mess of a person.
I’ll always be gay. I’ll always act first and think later. I’ll always be just a little bit insane. …Ok, very much insane.
That's just who I am.
So maybe…maybe I should embrace the monster I have become.
After all, it's all I’ll ever be.
It’s just that now, my insides, are my outsides. (???)
(really thought I ate with that one huh?)

[name] stared awkwardly at his nude body in the mirror.
It had changed quite a bit.
Taller. Limbs seemingly stretched to make room for what was now inside him.
Thinner. Body squashed to contain himself. Bones visible underneath skin pulled tight.
Small tares had formed in places where his body was exceptionally shifted; scarring over almost instantly and forming an intricate pattern along his body.
Almost like the rips were intentional.
His skin seemed to be taking on a grayish and white tint, rapidly losing color. He resembled a ghost. A dead man walking.
Before this his muscles had grown well defined. He was visibly stronger, larger, no longer possessing the body of a gangly teenager mid puberty.
But now…?
He looked frail. He looked sick. He looked fatigued.
But he felt strong. He felt hungry. He felt restless.
‘ “Your body won't behave normally for a long while. Expect it to shift and change drastically as it adjusts to the changes.” ’
‘ “Your figure will fill out eventually. You may not feel it but you are in a severely weakened state. Drained. Yet so full of life at the same time.” ’
The Jacks had said that to him.
It was confusing. There were three Jacks in the mansion. EJ. LJ. And JN, or GJ or even SJ as some jokingly called him.
Doesn't help that they all prefer Jack on a personal level. Thankfully they're all distinctly different so it's easy to tell them apart, even in conversation. But still mildly confusing.
‘Jack…the dead one. Wait- they're all kinda dead in their own way aren't they?’
'Whatever. Ghost Jack said my body will be surging with power. But if I dared to give in to it while my body is in this fragile state I could seriously injure myself.’
‘I’m basically an anime protagonist. I have all this power at my fingertips and yet I can't control it. I’ll get hurt if I try, even after all the training I did to prepare for it…’

Jeff The Killer & Ticci Toby: How to Cuddle your Now Cryptid “Friend”
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Jeff stood outside [name]’s room lost in thought. The former man had holed up in there for days; hardly ever leaving. Eventually he had resorted to not eating, so he'd never have to leave.
As much as he hated to admit it, Jeff was slightly worried for his… “friend”. He wasn't quite sure how to view [name] after all that had happened. When things had started to feel real. When he’d stopped acting.
Either way, [name] was a close companion to Jeff. And he was greatly concerned for the other's health.
He’d seen this spiral before; been through it himself. But he didn't know how to manage it. What exactly brought someone back. What had to be said to make them feel better.
For him it was easy. Stick a knife through some flesh, whether it was his own or someone else's, and get over it.
But [name] was new to this. The blood on his hands was still fresh. And he had only just begun.
“H-he’s not… no-not leaving there. You kn-know that… Right?”
Toby spoke suddenly.
“I know. That's kinda why I’m here.”
“F-force… him out?”
“Exactly.”
Toby turned his attention to [name]’s door. It wasn't locked, he wasn't allowed to do that yet, but no one had dared enter. Except for EJ, one of the few who could handle [name] in his current state.
The two had suffered quite a similar fate. What [name] was currently living through, EJ had already experienced.
The demon had warned it’d be best to give [name] space. Let him resolve things on his own.
But it had been almost a month now and Slenderman was getting impatient. He still had much work to do on [name], before he'd be satisfied.
“To be… to be honest. Th-the big man… is g-getting impatient. Th-there's still… still more progress t-to be ma-made.” Toby huffed, walking away.
“So where the fuck are you going then?”
“Kitchen. My room. Back here.”
Jeff paused, watching Toby leave. It took a moment for him to realize what the man's mission was. Then he remembered something EJ had mentioned.
‘ “Throw a shirt at him or something.” The demon grumbled, rummaging through a cabinet full of medical supplies. “Something for him to cling to. Something with your scent. He has to relearn to get used to you.” ’
At the time, Jeff thought it was utter bullshit. At the end of the day, it was still [name]. He was different, sure, had some new additions, but it was still his body. Surely he'd remember the moments they'd spent drunk in the woods.
‘ “Yes it's still [name]. But he’s far different now. Much more like an animal than a human. I don't expect you to understand but, think of it this way, he's kinda like your brother in a sense.” ’
‘ “Liu is still himself most of the time. But there's something darker just underneath. Almost always active. Likely always listening. A different person entirely just on the other side. And while it's still Liu’s body and still his mind; it's not really him is it?” ’
And as stupid as it sounded Jeff still found himself collecting various materials. A sweater he'd stolen from [name]. One of his own, slightly less bloodied, hoodies. And a box of snacks he'd always steal for the man.
Toby and Jeff met back up in front of [name]’s room, hands full of various items. They nodded at each other once before Toby knocked on [name]’s door, knowing no one would answer.
As expected, silence greeted them.
Moments later Toby opened the door slowly, remaining at the doorway until [name] was located.
The room was trashed, or as trashed as possible considering all the furniture was nailed down and secured. Deep scratches covered the walls and floor, accompanied by the occasional dent. Clothes, both shredded and intact, were tossed around, laid out upon every surface. Most of them were caked in blood and crumpled up.
[name] stood naked in front of a full length mirror at the back left corner of the room. A pile of clothes laid at his feet, as if just taken off. He was slightly hunched over and a few paces back from the mirror, as his body was too tall to be seen in full up close.
His hair laid tossed around on his shoulders, bangs held away from his face by neon pink and purple hair clips, no doubt donated by Nina. A long tail, laid awkwardly across the floor behind him, occasionally brushing against the floor or twitching before falling limp again.
“Is this just what you do all day? Admire yourself in the mirror naked?” Jeff taunted, being the first to dare enter the room, “And when the fuck did you grow a tail!?”
[name]’s head snapped up, his now slightly pointed ears twitching at the unexpected voice. He bent backwards looking at the two from an upside down angle. “Just this morning.” He rasped, tail picking up off the floor. It hung awkwardly above the floor, swaying slowly like a chandelier in the wind of an old, cold home.
“Don't look at us like that. You look like Toby.” Jeff huffed, tossing the stolen sweater over [name]’s head. “Shit. Your room looks worse than mine. I thought you were a clean person.”
Toby elbowed Jeff harshly in the side, intentionally, and slowly approached [name], “When Jack said, throw a shirt at him, I don't he meant that literally.” The man grumbled, gently removing the sweater from [name]’s face.
[name] stared at Toby blankly. His eyes, previously dull with emotion, seemed to gain a bit of life and light for the first time in a while. He wasn't quite sure what to say, but it seemed his body did as he left out a small chuff.
The two stared in silence for a long while, saying nothing as they merely gazed into each other's dull eyes.
“Alright Romeo and Julian, we get it. You're both madly in love.” Jeff butted in, approaching the two, “I feel like a third wheel here.”
Toby punched Jeff in the shoulder, intentionally, before breaking his gaze with [name] to roll his eyes.
“I know you did that shit on purpose.” Jeff grumbled.
Toby ignored him and simply held out the things he'd brought.
A pullover brown striped hoodie, which was stolen from [name] way back in the beginning of their “friendship”, a random shirt he'd stolen from EJ and a bag of snacks.
“L-look. I know th-this isn't…i-ideal. An-and you probably… probably don't for-f. Forgive us. But… um.” Toby’s sentence broke off as he fell short on what more he could possibly say.
Feelings and relationships wasn't exactly something he had practice with. He could mask and pretend to like someone, but never truly cared. As for what he had with Jeff, that was a can of worms both refused to acknowledge.
“We're concerned. And sorry. And would like to, attempt to fix it.” Jeff mumbled, holding out his offering as well.
Toby nodded along, trying desperately not to snap his head in the wrong direction or mimic [name]'s pose.
“This feels like a peace offering to a greater entity you've angered.” [name] mumbled, tilting his head at the two.
“Yeah. Kinda what this is asshole. Weren't you just looking in a mirror?”
[name] smiled, his mouth stretched much further than it did previously, seemingly splitting open at the corners. His teeth were now all mostly sharp, with prominent canines, much larger and longer than his natural ones were. “I know. I like it. I should get mad at you two more often.” He practically growled, slowly picking his head up and straightening his body out.
Jeff only snorted as he tossed his hoodie, and the clothes Toby brought at [name], “Fuck off and get dressed bitch.” He grumbled, making his way to the other side of the room.
[name] stared at the clothes now piled around him, eyeing them intently. His tail twitched in curiosity once he recognized two of the garments, “You guys stole these from me all the way back at the beginning. I didn’t know you still wore them.” He hummed, putting on the first top he grabbed, along with his discarded boxers and shorts he didn’t remember ever owning. Likely a donation from another demon within the mansion.
“Why would I steal a sweater and not wear it?” Jeff said, glazing over his shoulder.
“Oh of course Julian knows all about romance. Maybe you should be Romeo.”
“Him being Romeo implies I’m the bottom. Therefore I do not agree.” [name] huffed, finally moving away from the mirror after what could have been days, if not weeks. “Besides. You guys are too psychotic to know a thing about romance.”
“Not true. Who said psychos can't love?”
“N-not that we… we can’t lo-love. More like…we lo-love i-in a… psychotic way.”
“Yeah. Like kidnapping me on Christmas and trying to kiss it better. Sane people don’t do that.”
Jeff and Toby winced at the tone of [name]’s voice. For a moment it seemed like he’d turn, go feral, and snap at them. Luckily for them, [name] only stalked past them flopping down on his makeshift nest of two old mattresses, a ton of pillows and blankets. The two watched the man turned demon gather the pillows and blankets, rearranging their positions.
[name] eventually sat down, leaning his back against the wall. “As much as I want to devour you both ass first I’m not in a cannibalistic mood. Consider yourselves lucky.” He snarled finally sitting down. Patting the empty space besides him with his tail he beckoned the two forward. “Come on. It’ll be just like old times.”
Seconds later the two joined him, placing the snacks off to the side like an offering at an altar. Toby sat on [name]’s left and Jeff on his right.
“Feels different. You're too tall now.” Jeff mumbled, trying to find the right position against [name]’s side, “And fuckin boney.”
"And who’s fault is that?” [name] teased, wrapping his tail around Jeff’s body, “You're just mad I’m taller than you now.”
“See? You get it.”
[name] deadpanned, tapping the side of Jeff’s head with the tip of his tail, “It’s giving, toxic masculinity.”
“I-I miss…yo-your shoulder.” Toby grumbled, trying to find the right spot against [name]’s new body.
Typically, Toby laid almost slumped over [name]’s shoulder. He had picked up a habit of resting his head in the dip of [name]’s shoulder whenever he got the chance. Whether it was while waiting in line at the dining hall, studying in the library or cuddling on [name]’s bed, his head always found its way to [name]’s shoulder. Most of the time this ended with Tody practically ragdolling over [name], slumped entirely into the man’s side and halfway on top of him. Granted somebody had to be on top of another for three grown men to fit on a twin xl mattress; no matter how thin it was still a tight fit.
[name] grumbled playfully, readjusting so he was laying down, “Fine. Since you both wanna complain so much.” He rolled onto his side, facing Toby, not feeling like having a big spoon, little spoon argument with the two, which would likely go one for an hour considering how stubborn all three of them were.
The three spent a moment getting comfortable, before chaos broke out once more.
“Nope. For once, this doesn’t feel right.” Jeff complained. He laid pressed against [name]’s back, his arms half wrapped around the demon, whose hair was falling over his face like an itchy veil. The demon’s tail had ended up between Jeff’s legs, coiling around his body like a snake. “For one. Your fucking tail Fuck off with it. Two? Your fucking huge.”
“Go fuck yourself.”
“I-I don’t… I don’t know about you, bu-but I’m per-perfec- …Perfectly fine.” Toby muffled, pressed against [name]’s chest and caged tightly by the demon’s arms. “Although I could be suffocating.”
[name] snarled and let go of Toby, rolling over and crushing Jeff beneath him. His tail uncoiled from the man's waist, instead wrapping itself around Toby’s leg. [name] repositioned himself, placing his hands on either side of Jeff’s head; his knees pressing against the man’s hips as he sat on top of him.
“This better for ya?” He sneered, baring his fangs, “Maybe you’d be better off with your mouth stuffed full.”
Jeff’s hands braced against [name]’s chest in a failed attempt to shove the demon off. Normally he could easily flip [name] over, and the two would tussle for a while. Now [name] was far too large and far too heavy for that.
“Never fuckin mind.” He mumbled, averting his gaze slightly, “Now get your fat ass off me!”
Toby snickered, watching the two swat at each other playfully. It was like watching a large dog trying to play with a cat. Obviously the dog was winning, but only because the cat let it.
“Fuck you Toby!” Jeff barked at him.
“Wha-what did I do?!”
“Not help me!”
Toby sighed before getting up, reluctantly, and decided to tag along.
However not in the way Jeff wanted.
Instead he flopped on top of [name]’s adding more weight. His chin found [name]’s shoulder almost instantly, and he dropped like dead weight, causing [name] to lean further against Jeff, his tail unraveling from the man's leg and helping brace his weight.
“Toby you bitch!”
“S-suck it…Loser!”
[name] laughed, leaning down to whisper in Jeff’s ear, “What's wrong Jeffrey? Afraid of being a bottom? Don't worry, I’ll be kind to you. For now.” He chuckled, fangs grazing Jeff’s ear as he spoke.
“Let hell I’d let you fuck me!” Jeff huffed, bringing his arm up around [name]’s neck, “Besides. That’d mean you'd have to let Toby fuck you. That man can't thrust to save his life.”
“No-n. Nah…fuckin-. Not true!” Toby retaliated, grabbing at Jeff’s hair and forcing his head back and muttering darkly, “And you of all people should know that.”
Jeff went silent, merely glaring up at Toby. His pale face was a light shade of red as he snarled at the male. Yet he had no verbal retaliation. And he sure as hell wouldn't double down.
Toby hummed in satisfaction, letting go of Jeff’s hair and patting the man’s head, “Though so. D-don't forget… who yer talkin to.” He huffed, rolling off of [name]’s back.
Sitting up Toby moved off to the side, grabbing the box of snacks Jeff brought. He took a handful, shoving them into his mouth without a second thought, then held the box out to [name].
[name] sat up and clambered off Jeff, sitting behind Toby and grabbing the box, repeating the man’s actions and then tossing the box at Jeff, who growled in response, but accepted the snacks.
“No beer? I’m surprised Jeff. You always bring a drink for your snacks.” [name] hummed.
“As if you need to be drinking right now. Stay sober bitch.”
“Oh yeah, give the unstable new demon alcohol. That won't flip on its ass instantly.”
[name] gasped in mock offense, looking over his shoulder at Jeff, “You think I can't handle myself like this? I’m hurt Jeff.” He whined, snatching the box back.
“Hey, Jack said it. Not me. I’m just relaying the message.”
“Su-sure. Blame…b-blame Jack for your… problems.”
“You shut your mouth.”
“Don't…don't make me top you. Un-unlike [name]…I won't be nice.”
Jeff huffed, chucking a pillow at Toby, who swiftly dodged it. Pausing for a moment Toby stared, and then snatched the pillow, bringing it down on Jeff’s head before he could react.
“Whore.”
“Slu-slut.”
“Cunt.”
“...H-hoe.”
Before Jeff could respond [name] hit both of them with the pillow, then returned it to its rightful spot.
“As much as I love watching you two go back and forth I don't want to watch you fuck right now.” [name] grumbled, setting the box aside, “Maybe later.”
“Bet.”
“Deal.”
[name] only rolled his eyes as he crawled back to the middle of the “bed” and laid on his back. “Now come here both of you before I actually do bite both your asses.” He huffed, side glancing both of them.
“I’m down for that.”
“Yo-you're down for…for an-anything.”
“Not anything. Just most things.”
[name] rolled his eyes as the two joined him once more, still going back and forth with each other.
Toby returned to [name]’s right side, resting his head on top of the demon’s shoulder, placing his right leg across [name]’s lap; to which [name] wrapped his arm around Toby’s shoulder.
Jeff placed himself on [name]’s left, resting his chin on top of [name]’s head, and wrapping his arms around the demon's neck. After a moment he placed his leg on top of Toby’s and his left hand rear the man's right. Toby interlocked his hand with Jeff’s while [name] wrapped his other arm around Jeff’s waist and wrapped his tail around both Jeff and Toby’s legs that laid on top of him.
The three laid in silence, save for the sound of soft breaths, heartbeats and the occasional tic and bone crack from Toby; simply enjoying the moment. Just like old times.
Despite everything that had gone wrong…
Despite everything that had been done…
[name] found himself unable to remain mad at Jeff and Toby for long. He couldn't throw away whatever it was they all had together. He’d be forever changed, sure.
But to be loved is to be changed.
In the year they'd spent together the three had formed some twisted form of romance; fit for the monsters they are. The darkness in their hearts had brought them closer to each other. A shadowy bond only people like them could form.
In their own darkness, they became each other's light.
“Thanks you two. Honestly, I can’t bring myself to stay mad. And seeing what happened to the others…this was the best possible outcome.” [name] mumbled softly.
“Tis nothin’ really. We're just that awesome.”
“A-anytime [name].”
“I love you. Both of you.” He whispered softly, keeping his gaze on the ceiling, not brave enough to meet their gaze, “Maybe…maybe you do know something about romance.”
Toby was the first to respond, looking up at [name]. “I guess we are Romeo and Julian. Er- well, there's three of us so maybe not. Uh…” He mumbled. Seconds later he leaned closer, placing a kiss against [name]’s cheek.
Jeff watched the two of them silently, lost deep in thought and fear. Eventually he broke through, nuzzling closer to [name], “I… I care for you both. Deeply.” He mumbled, pressing his lips to the top of [name]’s head.
“I take it back. You guys suck at romance.”
“Fuckin love you too bitch, damn!”
“L-love you…both.”
“Much better.”

Eyeless Jack & Homicidal Liu: PriDEMONth
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Liu stood in front of [name]’s door, contemplating his options.
He still held hope for [name]. Even after his sacrifice Liu prayed the man would overcome the demon inside him and force it out. He prayed every night, hoping God would give [name] the strength he needed to overcome this. But it wasn't enough.
[name] was starting to change.
[name] was starting to turn.
[name] was starting to fall.
Was it too late for the man? Was his faith in vain?
“Liu.” Eyeless Jack grunted, approaching [name]’s door. “If you're here to see [name] good luck. He's even turned away Toby and Jeff.”
“And you expect to get in?” Liu sneered, “I have faith that the lord will save him. He needs to know it is not over.”
Eyeless Jack snorted, biting one of his tongues to further prevent laughter, “You really don't know this guy, do you?” He said between snickers.
“Ah yes because having hope for the poor soul is absolute comedy. Of course you’d think that.”
EJ bit back a snarl at that comment, glaring down at Liu. “Look. This isn't about varying beliefs and opinions. This is about a young man who's been manipulated. Sacrificed. And is on the brink of insanity. I don't have time for this bullshit.” He grumbled.
Deep down, Eyeless Jack was right. There was no savior in this life. There was no god coming to rescue them.
There was only the eternal hell they’d all been damned to.
This wasn't the time for pretending it all away.
Liu sighed, averting his gaze, “Fine. You're right. I just wish there was something…anything.” He paused, quickly giving up.
“We damned souls are all we really have.” Jack mumbled, his tail brushing Liu’s leg. “It's best if we enjoy each other's company, instead of making our lives worse.”
“I know…”
It was a conversation they'd had before. In search of an outlet and a place to hide, the two had met frequently in the mansion library.
It was the one place few refused to go.
The louder residents preferred to loiter in the many halls, living rooms or empty spaces strewn across the mansion.
Those who sought calm had begun to gather in the library.
Eyeless Jack couldn't read. Not ever since he lost his eyes. Despite how hard he tried, no amount of power he held could return his sight. The best his body could muster was a faint darkened heat vision, giving him only vague shapes of the things around him for a small amount of time.
But the library was an old comfort from a time when he could read, and thus he found himself there in his darkest moments.
He could vividly remember the day he and Liu first spoke. The man had caught him attempting to read once more, and questioned his sight. From there Liu would on the occasion read something to him, as they shared conversation of various books they'd read.
Eyeless Jack shook his head slightly, he didn't have time to dwell on such matters. There were more important things on hand. Like the very unstable, newly reborn demon holing up in his room.
Eyeless Jack knocked like he always did. [name] never answered, but Jack still felt the need to show his presence. Seconds later he opened the door, activating his “vision” and searching for [name].
The demon had started attempting to hide from him.
Burying himself under his bedding or piles of clothes. Stuffing himself in the back corners of his closet. And even clinging to the ceiling.
However [name] hadn't been hiding this time.
Instead he was standing eerily still in front of a cool object.
Liu entered the room seconds after EJ, peaking around the demon’s large body, “Goodness [name]! What are you doing!?” He exclaimed, immediately turning to face the other direction.
“Is he doing something other than standing there?”
“You're looking right at him!”
“I’m blind.”
“Shit-! Right. Sorry…” Liu regained his composure, internally scolding himself for his negligence, “He's standing stark naked in front of the mirror.”
EJ perked up at that, turning to face Liu, “That's all? He could've been doing much worse. With your reaction I figured he was getting off or something.” The demon huffed, turning back to [name].
“He's indecent and that's an awful train of thought!”
“You’d piss your pants at the things I’ve caught him doing.”
Liu placed his hands over his ears, squeezing his eyes shut and shaking his head childishly, “Nope! I don't want to continue this sinful conversion!” He exclaimed.
EJ sighed and made his way over to [name] slowly, approaching him cautiously like one would an animal.
“Hey. What er you doin?”
[name] glanced at EJ through the mirror from the corner of his eye. He squinted at the demon, choosing to remain silent.
“I may be blind but I can still tell when you're looking at me.”
[name] let out a puff of air, averting his gaze back to himself.
EJ moved closer, standing just besides [name], but a bit behind him. The man, now demon’s height was much closer to his own. Before EJ easily towered [name], even though he was tall for a human. It would only be a matter of time before they were properly the same height.
Liu glanced over at the pair from the corner of his eye. This was the first time he'd seen [name] since the ritual.
Everyone except for EJ and the proxies were instructed to keep their distance from him for a while. It wasn't until EJ determined that his violence died down enough for others to see him.
But ever since he was given the clear, [name] had chosen to remain in his room. He wouldn't answer for anyone. Only EJ and the proxies dared to enter his room without [name]’s permission.
Liu’s eyes widened at what he saw. His brief glance from when he first entered the room didn't give much to his appearance. But now that Liu was really looking at him. Could [name] even be considered a man anymore?
His body had horribly deformed and misshapened itself. A long tail hung awkwardly from his body. His nails had sharpened into long claws and his hands and feet began to look more animalistic.
The person who stood before him was once a man.
But now? He was a monster.
Liu forced his gaze away once [name]’s eyes met his in the mirror. He felt ashamed of himself for daring to look that long and that hard. What would the lord think of his longing gaze upon this beast from hell?
“I wonder… What do you look like now?” EJ grumbled, wrapping his tail around [name]'s leg, “Would you mind describing yourself to me?”
[name] tilted his head back and to the side, looking up at EJ. He stared until EJ glanced down at him. “I’d rather not. Why don't you ID me like you did last time.” He grumbled, bringing his head back up. His tail twitched as if it wanted to move, but instead it went limp against the floor.
“If you say so.”
Liu’s train of thought was broken at that comment and he glanced over his shoulder once more. His eyes widened as he gawked at the sight.
“What are you doing?!”
EJ’s hands gripped either side of [name]’s face, long, clawed fingers tracing the lines of it. His thumbs pressed against [name]’s lips, cautiously prying them open.
[name] only stared blankly as EJ's hands explored his face. His only movement was parting his teeth and pressing his fangs carefully against the demon’s fingers.
“I'm feeling him. When we first met I had used our forced proximity to get a feel for his features.” EJ explained, “I am merely repeating that action.”
“Must you do so while he's naked?!”
“How else am I supposed to feel his body?”
[name] huffed out a laugh, his fangs clenching harder against EJ’s fingers to stifle any sounds.
Liu went quiet and turned around once more. He muttered to himself silently, contemplating why he even remained where he was in the first place.
EJ pulled his fingers from [name]'s mouth and looked in Liu's direction.
“Since this is too sinful for you to bear, why don't you describe him to me then?”
“Ah yes. You. Want me. To analyze a naked man's- Not even. A naked demon’s male body, and describe it to you?” Liu huffed in disbelief, “Have you lost your mind?”
[name] grumbled and twisted his body, turning almost impossibly far to look at Liu. “Screw off Liu. This is not the month for homophobic Christian bull shit.” He snarled, tail lashing.
Liu tensed for a moment. He was likely smarter than [name] in terms of fighting, but in raw strength? The newly reborn demon cleared. It made him reconsider, collect his thoughts and focus his energy elsewhere.
“Wait? Your birthday was last month. So what's special about this one?”
EJ snickers, although it sounded more like a lion's chuff, “Really? Even I know what month it is.” He hummed, his voice rising slightly in pitch.
“It’s pride month idiot.” [name] snapped, straightening out his body. His tail stopped lashing, wrapping overtop of EJ's which was still on [name]'s leg, “And you can't spell pride month without demon.”
Liu stared dumbfounded. How could he forget all the pain June has caused him, his brother and his friends? How could he forget the very teachings of this "demonic" month claimed by the sinners.
“Right… I must've blocked it out.” He mumbled, absentmindedly playing with his hair. It was longer than it'd ever been. Much longer than what he was taught was “acceptable”, “I'm still coming to terms with… well, this.”
“You have a tail? That’s new.” EJ commented, running his clawed fingers over [name]'s new appendage, “You're growing a lot faster than we initially thought.”
[name] shuddered, aggressively shaking his entire body at the sensation of EJ's hands on his tail, “I noticed it this morning…” He mumbled through gritted teeth.
“He's still incredibly thin and awkward looking. He hasn't filled out his new size.” Liu commented, walking over to the two. He rested his palm against the middle of [name]’s back, “His bones are still prominent and his complexion is fading at the edges of his body. He’s turning a bit grey with accents of a lighter grey, almost white in some places.”
“Interesting that he's going grey and white from his natural complexion. I assumed he'd take on a warmer tone similar to the demon’s.”
“That demon was reddish in color wasn't he. Maybe it's something to do with [name] specifically?” Liu pondered, looking at [name] through the mirror, “His skin is also scarred and looks like an intentional pattern. The curves are too intricate, like a tattoo. It’s not your average scarring.”
[name] tilted his head in EJ's direction, “How’d you know what he looked like?” He questioned.
“He found me in Limbo. Granted me his appearance.” EJ explained, tracing over [name]’s arm in an attempt to locate any scars, “It was weird. He gave me total vision for a moment. I didn’t think such a thing was possible.”
“...Do you think [name] could replicate that?” Liu wondered. He too had lost himself in tracing the scars along [name]’s upper body, “You made it seem like he’d retain quite a bit of that demon’s power.”
EJ thought for a moment as he traced [name]'s scars, “Maybe. We'll have to wait and see what happens with him.” He mumbled.
“You guys are overstimulating me. My body is weirdly sensitive for some reason, “[name] grumbled, shaking the two off him, “Enough fingering me.”
“Must you word it that way!” Liu exclaimed, letting go of [name]. “Has becoming a demon just made you more vulgar?”
“Yes actually.” [name] stated bluntly, “Besides, I'm far too gross for that stuff. I look like a dried up ringed out rag.”
EJ bit his tongues at [name]'s remark. He knew [name] meant it to be funny, but it felt wrong to laugh in the moment.
“Don’t say such things.” Liu said, placing a hand on [name]'s shoulder, “It's just…like a second puberty. Nature and what not. It'll pass as you grow.”
“And you're nowhere near as gross as I was.” EJ hummed, resting his head on top of [name]'s, “Hell, I'm still pretty gross.”
“Lier. You're hot.” [name] huffed, poking EJ's side with his tail, “Like ideal body goals hot. I'm certain the internet would love you.”
“They internet would fuck a rock if it had a pretty face [name].” Liu retaliated, patting his shoulder, “But I must agree. For a demon you are fairly attractive. You could've ended up like The Rake, or worse.”
“Flattery will get you nowhere with me.” EJ grumbled, lifting his head off [name]'s, “Besides. You've never seen my face. How could you possibly know it's attractive?”
“Because you have the body. You can’t have the body and not the face.” [name] turned around, looking up at him, “And if you're referring to your eyes, well lack thereof, I don’t think it's as bad as you say.”
EJ stared down at [name], looking directly into his eyes. He then glanced over at Liu who stood beside [name].
There were so many things Liu wanted to say, but he wasn't like [name]. He was weak. Ashamed of himself. [name] was a proud, bold, openly gay freak. He didn't care what the world thought of him. He'd speak his mind first and cringe later in his room at night.
But he still had the guts to utter the sinful thoughts in his mind. He didn’t cower to an all seeing, judgemental God. He accepted that being himself could send him to hell and instead chose to embrace it.
Maybe being sacrificed and turned into a monster was his karma. And while he was beat up over it now Liu could already tell [name] would bounce back and double down once his body was complete.
Liu on the other hand would continue to blindly chase the ideals his parents threatened him with. He chased the ideal of being holy even if it was too late and he was too far gone. He'd chase the potential comfort that awaited him. He'd pray that he'd done enough to be set free when he was eventually allowed to die.
EJ let out a heavy sigh. If there was one admirable thing about [name] it was his persistence. When [name] took a stand he defended it until the end.
It stirred something in EJ's heart, which he assumed was long gone cold and useless to his emotional regulation. It seemed even demons could suffer at the yearning of the heart.
Slowly EJ brought his hands to the back of his head. And even slower he released the buckles of his mask and lifted it off his face.
EJ met [name]'s eyes once more and then Liu's. He felt vulnerable, as if he was the naked one between the three of them. EJ settled his gaze on a deep set of claw marks in the wall beside the mirror, “Does your option still stand?” He muttered, claws digging into his mask, grasping for any sense of stability.
[name]'s jaw dropped in a silent gasp. He always tried to imagine what EJ's face could possibly look like. With how he spoke of it, [name] had assumed he looked like an uglier Voldemort or Bowser from the live action Mario movie the vast majority of the public didn’t know about. Or a really up close bug.
[name] was starting to wonder if EJ simply hadn't seen his face since the ugly days of his rebirth.
Liu always figured EJ looked awful. It was something he told himself to douse the flames of his attraction to the demon. Monsters are ugly both inside and out. And creatures of sin were the ugliest of all.
So why did EJ's face strike his fancy? Why did it make the flames of his feelings burn brighter, devouring any amount of sense that had been drilled into him since early childhood?
“Actually you've changed my opinion.” [name] stated, crossing his arms, “You're so hot that your miles outta my league. I'd watch you longingly from afar knowing you were just too pretty for me, and being by your side would be like a scar to your handsome face.”
Liu side glanced at [name], contemplating his thoughts. It was now or never. He could keep to the will of God and remain trapped within his own emotions until he broke or he could grow as a person and finally let it all go.
“W-what he said. Even without having ever seen your face I always knew you were fine.” Liu stammered, “I can’t believe I'm saying this but… I want you to be my greatest sin.”
“Well who's tainted now huh Liu?”
“Now is not the time. I'm denying my faith and years of training for you two! I'm drowning in my feelings and I would like to pull the drain so please. Just…don't penalize me.”
“...Damn. Sorry man.”
EJ stared at the two of them in disbelief. He knew [name] would likely double down to at least try to make him feel better. But something about his small bout of poetry hit harder than empty compliments.
And for Liu to accept his blind following of his faith was in vain and killing him slowly. For him to admit that EJ was the one he'd let it all go for…
The demon was stunned. He felt like he was back in college. The overwhelming emotion of following someone he was ready to risk it all for. How flustered and weak he felt being led along through the woods.
[name] tilted his head to the side. EJ was silent. He couldn't really tell where the demon was looking but it definitely wasn't at him or Liu.
His tail had unraveled slightly from [name]'s leg; the furred tip tapping against his thigh rapidly. Like how a dog would whip their tail when excited and create a calf destroyer. [name] was certain his thigh would bruise if EJ continued with this motion.
The tar that leaked endlessly from EJ's eyes seemed to rush even more as if imitating tears. Normally it'd take a while for the tar to reach the edge of his face. But now it dripped off in waves, creating a puddle on the floor that was sure to stain the hardwood and get trapped forever between the floor boards.
[name] stepped closer to EJ, his tail moving on its own and wrapping around the demon's waist. He brought his hands up slowly, resting them on the demon’s tar stained cheeks. It was hot to the touch and burned him slightly. He could only imagine the burns it'd left if his hands were still human,
“Jack…? You still with us hottie?” He questioned, poking the demon’s cheek, “Feeling alright in there?”
Liu walked over to the pair, standing at EJ's side. He leaned against the demon, rubbing his shoulders. He wasn’t quite sure what to say at the moment. He'd never learned proper affection and care. Especially not for another man.
EJ let out a shaky breath, clutching his mask tighter, “Thank you…I. I'm, uh. Fuck.” The demon mumbled, tripping over his words.
“Don’t worry. I get what you're trying to say.” Liu murmured.
“Hey Jack?” [name] questioned, pulling the taller demon closer, “Have I ever told you how much I love you?”
“Huh? No. All you've done lately is bite me.”
“...Right. Well. Look I'm really glad you've been here for me. This is…a lot. Thank you for putting up with me and walking me through this.” [name] murmured. He stood up on his toes to reach EJ's face as he leaned in, balancing his weight against him, “I love you. More than I can count. And I can count pretty high.”
[name] smiled, not that EJ could see it, but he did it anyway.
“I've always loved our time at the library together. Sometimes I wish we could stay there for all eternity in each other's company.” Liu whispered, bringing his arms around EJ, “I always wondered if I'd ever get over this silly crush of mine. But I don't want to. I want to embrace it.”
EJ's tail moved, wrapping around both [name] and Liu's legs, trapping the two against his body, “I told myself I'd never fall in love or trust someone with my heart ever again… But it seems I've failed that with you two.” He purred, resting his forehead against [name]’s.
EJ set his mask down on the nearby dresser, wrapping his arms around them both, resting his head on both their shoulders.
“I guess that means…that I love you both.”
“As do I.” Liu murmured, “I love both of you. Even if God doesn't approve. I'd be happier with you both in hell.”
“Yeah well we're already there Liu. That's what we've been trying to tell you.” [name] huffed.
“Exactly.” EJ murmured, “You've been here this whole time. You're already damned Liu.”
“Holy corruption.” [name] giggled, “At least let him down slowly.”
“Maybe I should start biting you back.”
“Wait no please! I love you guys!”
“Too late.” EJ growled playfully, gently biting [name]'s shoulder.

Christmas Special 2025 - Bitch It’s Cold Outside
Note:
Lil later than I intended... but here's some fluffy hurt/comfort stuff, featuring the three characters you've met so far (plus EJ cause he's my favorite) and will get to know within the next few chapters, because this story won't have much of it for a long while; well a little in the beginning if you squint but most of it is fake. Technically still toxic because your kidnapped on Christmas and they caused the hurt but like- they're somewhat sorry. This is some of the best you'll get from these guys.
This short isn't cannon to the main story as the real version of this scene will play out differently; but something similar to this this will take place god know how many chapters later.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
It’s Christmas Eve. And instead of spending it with family or friends, he’s stuck with his kidnappers who he unfortunately has fallen for. It’s not his fault. They were attractive and lured him in with false kindness for months. They had spent months deceiving him and pretending they cared. They changed their behaviors and attitudes for him! They had gone so far, put in so much work, built trust.
Just to take him away.
And he doesn’t even know what they want from him.
He had his suspicions, all that training they were putting him through: they must want him to do something for them. But why him? And why put in so much effort? Why were they so nice to him? Why are they still this nice to him? It had been four days and they’ve been nothing but accommodating.
Why?

Dec 24, 20XX
[name] stood completely still, gaze trained up at the stars and snowflakes falling around him.
How did he end up here? Where even was he?
He didn’t know. He’d never know.
[name]’s body idled for hours in a small clearing of the forest. Tall, thin trees surrounded him on every side; a thick fog concealing his figure. It had wandered aimlessly, expertly avoiding obstacles as though the man’s mind was conscious and its right ankle wasn’t in a fresh cast. It knew exactly where it was going.
Or did it?
The “dreams” Slenderman used to give [name] were no longer necessary, however the influence of the Slenderman’s powers still affected the man, occasionally turning him into a shell of a person driven by instinct. Remnants of these powers infecting his very being.
[name]’s mind awoke partially, slowly bringing him into reality. He could see, hear and feel. But he couldn't react; stuck in a sleep paralysis-like state.
‘Cold… It’s so cold.’
His body swayed, readjusting its positioning to take the weight off its broken ankle. Otherwise it remained standing, staring out into the forest.
Snow piled up around his ankles, his tracks long gone.
‘I can’t feel my fingers. Or my nose. Or my face. My hands. My feet. Legs. Chest. My ankle.’
His body wasn't dressed properly for the weather. A pair of sneakers, his pajamas and a thin sweater.
How [name] wished he was dreaming. How he hoped he’d wake up in his bed, body trembling, pain fresh in his mind, but still; in his warm bed.
He wasn’t sure when he’d ever see it again.
No. He knew he’d never see it again.
It was times like this when he wished he had listened to Tim. The man had warned him of his coming fate, at the expense of his own life. [name] might never see that man again. He was gone, like that.
It was an odd thing to come to terms with.
There was nothing he could do to save Tim. That man was always going to die. All because he wanted to save another life. All because he couldn't bear to see someone else fall victim to the Slenderman.
And [name] couldn’t even give him the satisfaction of accomplishing that goal.
He died for nothing.
‘I killed him… Oh Satan I killed him. He died for me. And yet here I am thirsting over my kidnappers and pretending it’s all ok.’
[name]’s body wavered, staggering forward. His body caught itself, avoiding a nasty fall. The last thing he needed was to wind up crumpled in the snow. The fall would be enough to break his current state, and all the pain would rush to his body.
He’d be lost with no way back, and unable to get up. He’d succumb to the cold and likely wind up buried in the snow.
Lost to this world. Nothing but a memory. And maybe, not even that.
Footsteps pounded through the snow, attempting to cover as much ground as physically possible. Muttered curses spilled from their lips, eyes darting to every dark corner of the forest. They shouted [name]’s name into the night, endlessly searching.
The Slenderman would have their heads if [name] wasn't found.
Eventually they came across a figure in a small clearing. Upon further approach they realized the figure was [name].

Ticci Toby: Fine, I Care… A Little bit
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“[n]-[name]! Thank…thank fuck I fo-found you.” Toby grumbled as he walked up to [name]. “[name]?”
Toby walked around [name], stopping in front of him. He took one look at [name]’s cloudy and blank eyes and realized what was happening. He cursed under his breath, popping his shoulder and twitching briefly. Once he regained control of his body he quickly made a phone call to his fellow proxy, alerting him to the current standing of the search.
Hoody: He’s blanking? Running on instinct, generally unresponsive?
Toby: Ye-yeah. What…what sho- What should I d-do?
Hoody: Be clear and firm with him. He might fuss and refuse. If things get too complicated, pain will snap him out of it.
Toby: Clear an-and firm…Two thi- Two things I c-can’t be.
Hoody: Better hit him then. I’ll text the group, let him know you got him. Update me on his condition once you’ve got him back to the cabin.
Toby: …k
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Toby slipped his phone back in the pocket of his jeans, nearly dropping it from a sudden tic. He stared at [name] contemplating whether or not it’d be worth it to try and talk [name] down, or kick him down and snap him out of his trance.
[name] grumbled and turned away from Toby, staring out into the trees.
“Yo-you can’t…Fuck you. You can’t be o-out…out here.” Toby placed a hand on [name]’s shoulder, attempting to turn him around, “At least…no-not like th-this.”
[name] shrugged Toby off which prompted him to deliver a swift kick to [name]’s right ankle.
“Fuck off bitch. I-I don’t have…I don’t have time for this.” Toby grumbled, popping his knuckles, “Ne-next time I’ll kno-knock…knock you on the head.”
[name] let out a shout as he crumpled into the snow, missing Toby’s threat. His hands clutched his ankle, attempting to soothe the wound. Toby walked over and squatted in front of him, watching him intently.
“You…y-you back yet?”
[name]’s eyes snapped up to Toby, “Wha? Did you kick me?!” He snapped, sitting up on one hand.
“Yeah.”
“Why? What the fuck’s wrong with you?!?”
“A lot.”
“No shit Sherlock!”
“Not my fault.”
“That doesn’t give you an excuse!”
“An uncontrollable disability? Seems excusable to me.”
“You kicked me on purpose! That isn’t a tic of yours!”
“Tics can change and develop or disappear as things change. Don’t act like you know my disability better than me.”
“I- Ok. Whatever.”
[name] sat up, dusting off the snow from his body and hair, bringing his knees to his chest and crossing his arms over them. Toby stood up, stretching and leaning backwards until his back cracked. He held the position for a moment then stood upright, yawning.
“Ok. Let’s go.”
[name] didn’t move, choosing to hide his face in his knees and ignore Toby.
“I kn-know…I know you her-herd me. Le-lets. Go.”
“Why should I listen to you asshole? Even if I wanted to, I can’t walk.”
“You…y-you walked he-here.”
“In a fucked up trance where I couldn’t register anything.”
“The fuck you want me to do? Carry you?!”
[name] didn’t respond, instead choosing to flop over in the snow.
“I’d dr-drop y-you… if I did.”
Toby groaned and walked over to a nearby tree, taking one of his hatchets and slamming it into the tree.
“What the fuck is your problem?!”
[name] flinched, picking his head up and staring at Toby, “What’s my problem? What’s your problem?!” [name] slammed his fist into the snow, letting his legs straighten out, “And don’t you dare say everything you bitch!”
“What do you want from me?! I can’t read minds you dumb fuck!”
“What are you talking about?! You kidnapped me! I watched a man die! I got my ankle brutally broken by Jeff! I may hate my family but I’d much rather spend my Christmas with them then in a cabin full of psychos in bum fuck nowhere!”
Toby stared at [name] for a while, his head falling to the side and landing awkwardly on his shoulder.
“Th-this is ab- This is about ch-crist… Christmas? I figured y-you’d be hap-py to not hav-have ta see y-your mom.”
“This has nothing to do with Christmas you retarded fuck.” [name] growled, stumbling to his feet, “This has to do with you and the others spending months manipulating me and making me trust you only to kidnap me.”
“Ouch. We’re using slurs now faggot?” Toby huffed, ripping his hatchet from the tree, “We’re doing you a favor and saving you the abuse. You cried after coming back from thanksgiving. We tried asking you nicely to come with us. Are you blind or something? We’re helping you. You’ll be so much better with us. With me.”
[name] and Toby stared at each other for a long time, processing each other’s words. [name] broke the silence first with a sigh.
“You’re a dick Toby.”
“...Li-likewise.”
“I just don't get it. You claim to care about me but then you whip around, break my ankle and take me against my will.
“Yo-you we-re…you were in an abu-abusive situation. I was s-saving you from…that.”
“And this isn’t abuse?”
“It’s about intention. Y-your moth-mother…doesn't love you.”
“So what you're saying is you love me?”
“...I well. Um.” Toby stammered, unable to find the words to explain.
His silence said enough to [name].
“I knew it. You’re no different than she is.” [name] sighed and plopped back down into the snow, “I should’ve listened to Tim. Now he’s just dead for no reason.”
“Ma- Tim? H-he’s fine. Well, no-not fine but…a-alive.”
“What? What are you talking about?”
“T-tim was, we-well he was supo-supposed…to be in on it. B-but he di-didn’t listen. So Slenderman chose to…chose to punish him.”
[name] looked up at Toby, blinking back tears, “He…Of course. No sane person would dare talk to me. I thought he knew too much. That’s partly why I didn’t listen to him.”
Toby walked over to [name] and sat down beside him, wrapping an arm around his waist.
“I-I’m sorry. I didn’t want to end up like him. I-I didn’t…didn’t want to b-be punished.” Toby turned to face [name], “I didn’t have a choice. None of us did.”
[name] faced Toby, searching his eyes for any hint of deception. All he found was sincerity. [name] sighed, leaning his forehead against Toby’s.
“I’m sorry for calling you a slur. It’s just… I’m tired of people lying about caring about me.”
“I-I care…a little. It’s hard fo-for me to do tha-that… Illnesses an-and all. I-I’m sorry too. I-I shouldn’t ta-take my…my frust- My frustration out on you. Y-you don’t…you don’t know any better. I promise I’ll try to do better.”
Toby removed himself from [name] and took his jacket off, leaving him in just his sweater, and wrapped it around [name]’s shoulders, helping him put it on.
“To-tomorrow. I’ll…I’ll ma-make it up to you. Promise.”
[name] smiled, bringing his hands up to cup Toby’s masked cheeks, slipped the mask off his face and letting it rest around his neck. Toby wrapped his arms around [name]’s waist pulling him closer.
The two’s lips met in a rough and inexperienced kiss. It ended briefly as Toby had bit [name]’s exceptionally hard.
“Shit! So-sorry.”
“No, it's fine.”
Toby kissed [name]'s bottom lip slowly, making sure he kept his mouth shut.
“Me-merry Christmas…[name].”

Jeff the Killer: Christmas Cliché
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“Hey, jackass! The fuck you doin’ out here?!” Jeff’s voice rasped as he approached [name], “Yer gonna get me in fucking trouble being out here like this! How’d the fuck you even get here?!”
Jeff approached [name], staying slightly behind him. [name] didn’t move, continuing to stare up into the sky aimlessly.
“Hey! Did you not hear me? You're gonna die of hypo… whatever that shits called.” Jeff walked up and grabbed [name]’s shoulder, roughly turning him towards him. When Jeff was met with [name]’s blank and cloudy eyed stare he sighed heavily.
“Of course yer fuckin out of body again.”
[name]’s cloudy eyes watched Jeff closely, tracing the lines of the scars on his chapped lips.
“Quit starin. It’s freaky.” Jeff mumbled as he took a firmer hold of [name]’s body, trying to figure out a way to snap [name] from his trance. His words brought a smile to [name]’s typically blank face, it was unclear if that was a good sign or a bad sign.
[name]’s hands reached up to cup Jeff’s face, the blood from his face smearing with the movement of [name]’s hand. He mouthed something, as if trying to talk, but unable to get the words out. Swiftly Jeff dealt a quick kick to [name]’s bandaged ankle; strong enough to hurt, but not too bad.
A scream ripped from [name]’s throat as he stumbled away from Jeff, backing up into a tree.
“What the fuck!” [name] whined, wiping his eyes as his vision cleared, “Wait- Jeff?”
“Welcome back bitch. You switched again.”
[name] looked up at Jeff and then at his surroundings. Suddenly it all came flooding back to him at once. The biting cold, the pain in his ankle caused by the man in front of him, the fact that he was kidnapped by men who he gave the benefit of the doubt to, stress and lack of sleep, Tim…
Tears wheeled up in the man’s eyes as he glanced down at his trembling hands, his breath coming and going in short gasps.
“I killed him…” He muttered, “He’s dead. And it’s my fault.”
Jeff raised an eyebrow in confusion, his head tilting slightly, “Who’s dead?”
“Tim…” [name] started, looking up at Jeff as the tears began to fall, “I killed him. He killed himself trying to save me. And yet I’m still here… I should’ve listened, at least gave him relief knowing he saved me.”
Jeff scoffed, titling [name]’s face up by his chin, forcing him to meet his eyes, “Bold of you to assume you could evade me.”
Jeff’s words only served to make [name] cry harder, the man backing away from Jeff and crumpling in on himself as he fell to the snow covered forest floor.
“And you! I trusted you! I gave you a chance to be better! To change! And you did. You listened to me…Respected me.” [name] paused, sobs and hiccups breaking through, “And then you break my fucking ankle and kidnap me! What the fuck is wrong with you!?”
“Awe come on, I did the voice thing. I thought you liked the voice thing!”
“Fuck you and your stupid voice Jeff!”
“What more do you want from me?!?! I didn’t necessarily have a choice in the matter!”
[name] didn’t reply, only clutching his head and curling further in on himself; trying desperately to retain what little warmth he had left.
“This is so fucked… I already hate this stupid holiday and you're making it worse!”
“Alright, fuck. Don't get pissy with me bitch.”
“...Go fuck yourself Jeff.”
Jeff huffed and began pacing in circles, he checked his phone, confused by [name]’s words only to get the answer.
It was Christmas eve. [name] was supposed to be home with his family; not kidnapped and in the forest with a bunch of killers and demons.
It was then that Jeff remembered how sensitive the average human is about holidays. [name] was no exception to this rule, falling into the category of, “I hate this holiday but only because of my family.” [name] happily celebrated Halloween with Jeff and Toby and fantasied about the day he’d spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with truly meaningful people.
He wanted to live out a happy life with the two of them…
This thought process gave Jeff an idea and he quickly took off in a random direction.
‘Jerk. Why do I like this guy again…?’
‘Oh demons everything hurts’
‘I feel sick.’
‘Is he really just gonna leave me out here?’
‘He would. Jeff’s heartless. He doesn’t care. It’s all manipulation.’
‘Fuck my life man…’
‘I hope I die here.’
Jeff eventually returned sitting down in front of [name]. He slipped his jacket off his shoulders, draping it around [name]’s body.
“Hey, work with me here.” He mumbled in a soft voice. It was probably the kindest Jeff had ever sounded in the time that [name] knew him.
Together Jeff’s jacket was slipped onto [name] and zipped up. Jeff tugged the hood up and patted [name]’s head gently, wiping some of the tears from his cheek.
“Alright look. I’m sorry for this. But I had a mission and I couldn’t fail.” Jeff started, cupping the side of [name]’s face, “I didn’t want to do it. I thought I’d enjoy hurting you brutally. I craved the day I could put a knife in you and watch you bleed.”
“What the hell Jeff.”
“I’m not finished.” He snapped, digging his nails into [name]’s cheek, “Look. Slenderman would’ve hurt me if I didn’t do what I did. And Hoody or Toby would have bashed your head in.”
[name] placed his hand on Jeff’s prying it off.
Jeff allowed him to, continuing his speech, “I’m sick in the head. I get it. I’m fucked and your only just getting there. Hell, you may never be as sick in the head as me. But…” Jeff paused for a long time, averting his gaze from [name], “I’m… I’m sorry.”
[name] stared at Jeff for a long time, processing his words. He suddenly remembered something Spike had said to him.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Spike:
Wait… You see that thing too?
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“Hm? What thing?"
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Spike:
That tall faceless man. It won’t let me talk to my boyfriend about it! It said it’ll kill him in front of me! And it’s been showing me all these weird things and making me do stuff I don’t wanna and-!
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[name] cut Spike off, not wanting to get involved, “Dude what the fuck? No offense but talk to a therapist, not me. And my friend gave this to me. It’s some weird internet wannabe cult.” [name] paused, thinking for a moment, “You aren’t part of that stupid cult right? That’s mentally ill behavior.”
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Spike:
What! No I-
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Spike:
Never mind. Forget I said anything…
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The Slenderman was a strange creature who’d commit violence if things didn’t go his way. [name] had witnessed it first hand with Tim’s death.
Jeff would be dead if he didn’t listen.
“Fine… I forgive you I guess.” [name] grumbled, “But you better make it up to me.”
“Of course! Um, here, people do this cliché shit on Christmas right?” Jeff muttered as he lifted something above their heads.
[name] looked up, spotting a chunk of a holly bush held between Jeff fingers. When he looked back down Jeff’s lips had met with his in a rough kiss.
Jeff's lips felt as bad as they looked.
Chapped and scarred. Skin peeling and missing in some places. His mouth tasted like blood and cigarettes, with the slightest hint of beer.
The kiss was messy and all over the place, teeth clashing and the occasional bite. The kiss was sloppy and inexperienced. Yet full of emotion.
Jeff pulled away first, his face flushed slightly, adding some color to his pale and scared skin.
[name] was stunned at the sudden display of affection. If Jeff ever touched [name] it was usually some type of hit or a harsh pat. He was never gentle. Granted that kiss was anything but gentle. But it wasn’t intentionally aggressive.
“Wow, not even a thank you.” Jeff huffed, crossing his arms, “I tasted your snot and tears for this”
“First of all, gross. Second of all, I’m stunned.”
“Good.” Jeff muttered, tossing the holly and pulling [name] towards him and onto his lap. Unsure what to do, [name] let it happen, conflicted that a single kiss could make him forget the man he indirectly killed. That was until Jeff took hold of his face and kissed him again, more gentle and with less teeth this time. “He ain’t dead”
“What?”
“Tim. That fucker ain’t dead. He’s alive and being tortured in the basement of HQ.”
“What!?!”
“Oh hush. Could be much worse.”
[name] grabbed Jeff by his hoodie, tugging him forward, “How long have you known this?!”
“Since our midway mission report. After we snatched and secured you we all had to report back to there while you were out. Slendy made Tim stay back, taking him off the mission. I found out from Hoody that he was being punished for his interference. Had you listened to him, it could've put a knife in his plans and made everything a lot more difficult."
[name] stared at Jeff as though he had grown two heads, processing the information.
“I didn’t think you’d be so hung up over it, let alone blame yerself. You ain’t got notin to do with whatever stupid shit Tim gets himself into. Now quit lookin at me like that. You know I hate it.”
“Taste of your own medicine bitch.” [name] grumbled, “You do that shit to me all the time.”
“I’m physically disabled. I literally can’t not stare!”
“And who’s fault is that?
Jeff plucked [name]’s mouth glaring at him, “Don’t get smart with me.”
“What’re you gonna do? Punish me?” [name] sassed, crossing his arms over his chest
Jeff pushed [name] off him, pinning him into the snow, “Keep talkin and I just might.”
“I’ll hold you to it, Jeffery” [name] smirked and picked up the chunk of holly, holding it between them, “Oh and by the way, holly and mistletoe and two completely different things.”
“Oh fuck you smartass. I don’t know anything about this cliché shit.”
“Fuck me? Hmm, maybe.”
Jeff smirked, pulling [name] into another heated kiss, pressing their bodies as close as physically possible.
“Merry Christmas bitch.”

Bloody Painter: A Little Indulgence
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“[name], you shouldn't be out like this,” Helen said, approaching [name], “You’ll get hypothermia. And probably killed. We can’t have that, I'm afraid.”
[name] didn't respond, remaining still, eyes staring off into the distance.
“[name]. Answer me.” Helen demanded.
When [name] didn't turn around he stomped over and grabbed the man’s shoulder, turning him towards him.
“Hey.” Helen paused, once he noticed the blank and cloudy state of his eyes, “This again?”
Helen released [name] and pulled out his phone, sending a quick text to the current search party group chat.
“Alright, listen to me, and listen carefully.” Helen turned his attention back to [name], “We need to move you. You're in the middle of the woods with no proper clothing. I know you think you're fine, but you won't be later.”
‘I know that. I know. It won't let me go…’
Helen took hold of [name]’s wrist and pulled him towards him, [name] pulled back, ripping his arm away from Helen’s grasp. [name] stepped back and glared.
“[name]. You need to come with me. You have no idea where you are.”
[name] huffed, turning away and beginning to walk away. Helen walked after him and pulled him back.
[name] and Helen tussled for a while, pulling and pushing at each other until eventually [name] fell, his ankle giving out from under him. He let out a pained yelp as he crumpled, scrambling around in the snow.
Helen watched [name] scramble, struggling to get back up. Eventually he gave up, face planting in the snow. Helen shook his head with a sigh and walked over to [name].
“Are you done yet?”
[name]’s senses slowly crept back to him. The ice cold snow nipped at his skin, making him shiver. He curled in on himself, leaving his right leg outstretched. The fog over his mind slowly dissipates. He was conscious once more.
“Come on, get up.”
He didn't move. He could if he wanted, but he really didn't. The pain was too unbearable.
Helen grumbled and walked over to [name], hoisting him up and over his shoulder.
[name] woke hours later in a pile of blankets and pillows next to the fireplace.
He stood up slowly and began to look around. No one was in the living room and he couldn't hear any voices.
[name] slowly trudged to the front door, dragging a blanket with him. He reached up to undo the lock before a voice spoke.
“Going somewhere.”
Helen appeared behind [name], holding a mug in his hand.
“Need...air.”
“No.”
Helen took [name]’s wrist and dragged him back to the living room. He sat the mug down on the coffee table and sat [name] down in the pile of blankets and pillows.
“Drink it.” Helen huffed, handing [name] the mug.
[name] stared at the mug, taking it slowly. He stared into the mug, sniffing it before looking up at Helen.
“What is it?”
“Green tea. I made it, there's nothing else in it but a bit of sugar.”
[name] held onto the mug, staring at the liquid inside it. How could he possibly trust Helen after everything that had happened. They kidnapped him. He escaped. And now he's been kidnapped again. Surely the tea would put him to sleep for however long they needed. What would happen to his body while he was unconscious. What would-
[name]’s train of thought was broken when Helen snatched the mug and took a sip of the tea. He then handed it back to [name].
“You're usually obedient with me. What's gotten into you?”
[name] couldn't believe what he was hearing. He glared at Helen and sat the mug down with a harsh thud, spilling some tea on the table.
“What the fuck do you think Helen?! Jeff broke my ankle, you helped kidnapped me and my ignorance led a man to suicide!” [name] shouted, standing up, “How am I supposed to feel when the man I trusted kidnapped me!? What the hell is wrong with you?!”
“Everything dear.” Helen said calmly, “Also, led a man to suicide? What are you…”
“Wait. You mean Tim?”
“So you know… Of course you know. Why wouldn’t you know. This is clearly some elaborate scheme.”
“Tim’s not dead. You’ll see him again. Eventually.”
“...What?”
“Tim was supposed to aid in whittling you down and getting you with us. Instead he rebelled and tried to get rid of you. Don’t take the blame for his failures.”
Helen picked up the mug and handed it back to [name].
“You just can't leave town. Otherwise we don't really care what you get up to.” He forced [name]’s hands on the cup and let go, “Once break is over you’ll return back to school like normal.”
“But, I went home last break.”
“You didn't. We let you think you were going home. Everything you saw was a dream. No one leaves campus. At least, not until graduation.”
“And what the fuck do you mean normal? Normal?! How is anything meant to be normal after this?!”
[name] got up in Helen’s face, jabbing a finger at his chest. Helen snatched his hand, tossing it to the side, pushing [name] down in the process. He glared down at [name], repressing a sound of frustration.
“You are being very difficult and not making things any easier for me.” Helen grumbled, “Was all my work previously for naught? Are you stupid?”
Helen muttered to himself, becoming increasingly frustrated. He paced around, taking a few deep breaths and regaining his composure.
“Stay there. Don’t move.” He growled, walking off and disappearing down the hall.
[name] could hear a door slam shut and then silence once more.
‘Who does this guy think he is? What, am I just supposed to listen to him because he’s kind to me? He kidnapped me for Satan’s sake!’
[name] reluctantly settled, taking the mug and drinking all the tea. Once he had calmed down he came to his senses.
‘He’s a psychopath. Of course he’s upset I'm being disobedient. As much as I hate it, I just might have to listen to him… I’ll have to listen to him. Reluctantly.’
Helen returned hours later holding a small box with red and white wrapping paper and a red ribbon. He sat down in front of [name] and held the gift out to him.
“I sincerely apologize for my approach earlier. I am not the best with emotions due to my upbringing. Surely you can understand that given where I am in life. I ask that you please do not take it out on us. We didn’t have any say in the matter and we are doing the best we can to make things as comfortable as physically possible with the cards we have been dealt. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. After all, we are both victims of Slenderman.”
[name] stared at Helen, carefully taking the small box. He stared at it for a moment before carefully unwrapping it.
Inside was a small painting of a heart encased in thorny roses.
“I- Thank you Helen. And I’m sorry too. You're right. It’s unfair for me to act this way. I assumed because you worked for Slenderman you too were just as cold.”
[name] set the painting to the side and hugged Helen, straddling him. Helen froze, tensing slightly before wrapping his arms around [name]’s waist. He wanted to be upset at the sudden contact but instead he welcomed it. He pulled back, placing a small kiss on [name]'s forehead. [name] moved his hands to Helen’s face, reciprocating it with a more heated kiss.
For once in his life Helen chose to indulge in the intimate moment, allowing his apathetic nature to slip away. There was something special about [name]. Something that made him care. Something that made him feel. He suddenly felt as though the painting he had gifted [name] didn’t represent him in the moment.
“Merry Christmas [name].”

Eyeless Jack: Coal's Not So Bad
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Jack wandered the forest aimlessly, surveying the perimeter of the cabin. There wasn’t anything out there. Nothing would dare stray so close to the Slenderman’s territory. Not with him or anyone else lurking around. Eventually Jack gave up his post; wandering deeper into the forest.
A little venture out wouldn’t hurt. Besides, it was better that he was further from the cabin. He couldn’t risk [name] seeing him. Not yet.
Hours later Jack came across a figure far into the forest. At first its scent wasn’t familiar to him, causing him to drop down on all fours and remain hidden; wrapping his tail around his waist to ensure it wouldn’t brush the ground. He stalked closer keeping low to the ground, upon further inspection he recognized it.
“...You. Why are you out here?” Jack muttered, standing up right, “You shouldn’t be here.”
[name] snapped his gaze in Jack’s direction, taking in his appearance. He tilted his head at Jack, realizing he didn’t recognize who, or what, he was looking at.
“Fuck… This. This fucks up a lot.”
[name] took a cautious step towards Jack, trying to get a better look in the darkness. Jack remained still, letting [name] approach. He kept his voice low and steady, hoping not to scare [name] off.
“Look. I need to get you back to the cabin. And then, you need to forget we ever met. Got it?”
[name] didn’t respond as he looked up at Jack’s blue mask; gaze landing on the tar dripping from its sockets. He brought his hand up to wipe some off, analyzing the smudge on his hand.
He recognized that black smudge.
It was on the fur of the dead animals he had been encountering in the forest. He’s seen a similar smudge on the collar of Jeff’s shirt and one of Toby’s bloody hoodies.
“You. Your Jack Aren't you?”
“How do you know that…?”
“Toby and Jeff keep mentioning Jack. And that stuff from your mask ends up on their clothes. Plus you're in this forest. You approached me. You know where to take me. And I’ve felt your gaze watching me before.”
“...Wow. You know, you’re a lot smarter than you let on. I see why you’re a prized candidate.”
“Candidate?”
“Forget I said that.”
“No. I don’t think I will.”
“You’ll catch hypothermia and die out here.”
[name] turned his back to Jack and began walking away, hoping to disappear between the trees. Jack followed closely behind; picking up sticks, rocks and leaves along the way and shoving them in his pockets. He tried herding [name] towards the direction of the cabin but the man would simply turn around or go the opposite way. Eventually Jack grabbed hold of [name]’s sweater.
[name] slipped it off his shoulders, continuing to walk away, until Jack grabbed his shirt a second later.
“Let go.”
Jack didn’t respond, pulling [name] down and making him sit. He wrapped the sweater back around [name]’s shoulders and began emptying his pockets.
“You're upset. Fine. But I won’t let you freeze yourself to death.”
[name] crossed his arms and watched as Jack dug a pit in the snow; building a small fire pit with the sticks, rocks and leaves.
“And how exactly do you intend to light it?”
Jack didn’t respond, instead taking two rocks and hitting them together, creating sparks. Shortly a fire was lit, burning brightly against the dark night.
“Stay put.” Jack muttered, taking off into the darkness of the forest.
[name] watched him go, curling up on the ground and drifting off to sleep.
An hour later [name] stirred, sitting up with a groan. He blinked a few times, regaining his senses.
Regaining his memories.
With a gasp he sat up fully, looking around frantically.
He was alone. In the cold, dark forest, with a fire slowly burning out in front of him.
‘That…guy. What was his name again? And where did he go?’
‘Did he really leave me here to die? No. He said he wouldn’t let me freeze.’
‘But we don’t know each other…’
A twig snapped in the distance, leaves rustling as Jack emerged from between the trees with a small sack held over his shoulder.
“You're awake.” He muttered as he approached, “Come to your senses yet?”
[name] only stared, his focus taken by Jack’s tail, which swayed idly behind him. Jack stopped in front of [name], sitting beside him. Taking off his gloves, he took hold of [name]’s hand and inspected it; clawed fingers squeezing and wrapping around [name]’s
“You're playing a bit of a dangerous game here.”
“Y-you…”
“Not human. Demon adjacent. It’s easier to just refer to me as such." Jack huffed, letting go of [name]’s hand, “Why did you come out here?”
“I don’t know. I was upset I guess.”
“About?”
“I…I killed someone. Not directly, but… he killed himself trying to help me. Then the guys who I thought were my friends betrayed me. Breaking my ankle and kidnapping me. Freezing to death must not have seemed so bad.”
Jack hummed as he unzipped his hoodie, turning to face [name], “You're talking about Tim right? Along with Helen, Toby and Jeff.”
“You’re with them huh? Did they send you after me?”
“No. You're not even supposed to know I’m here. You and I weren’t meant to meet until much later. I was, however, keeping an eye on you from the forest.”
“And leaving dead animals at my door step.”
“Your survival skills are lacking and you don’t eat enough.”
“What.”
Jack didn’t respond, only moving closer to [name]. He took hold of [name]’s wrist, carefully pulling him closer and placing him between his crossed legs.
Jack’s body enveloped [name]’s, shielding him from the cold winds. The demon’s skin was incredibly warm, almost as warm as the fire.
“As I said. You lack very basic survival skills.”
Jack grumbled as he picked up the sack he had brought with him. He had reached into it, pulling out a handful of coal and adding it to the fading fire.
“Normally I’d be uncomfortable with this proximity. But for your sake I’ll bear. Slenderman would disprove if I allowed you to freeze. And I don’t want to meet the same fate as Tim; even if I’ll heal rather quickly.”
“What do you mean, meet the same fate, but you’ll heal? Does that have to do with being a demon?”
“Yes and no. Being a demon does accelerate my healing, but it can’t fix the fate you assume Tim has met. He isn’t dead. Merely being…punished. Let’s just say Slenderman doesn’t take kindly to disobedience."
“Punished how?”
“Don’t question it.”
That worried [name] slightly. If someone says not to question it, it’s typically something awful.
“The other’s. There wasn’t much they could do. They only did what they had to to complete the mission. It’s best for you to be the bigger person for now. Strike up a conversation. For your own piece of mind.”
Jack looked down at [name], eyeless sockets dripping endlessly with tar. The black substance ran down Jack’s neck and got smudged on the collar of his shirt. Due to their proximity the tar landed on [name], bleeding into his clothes and getting smudged on his skin. [name] stared hard at Jack’s mask face.
“You won’t find anything where you’re looking.”
“You're faceless?”
“Eyeless specifically. Although my face isn’t exactly pleasant to look at.”
[name] wanted to ask more questions. He had an endless sea of them. But as if he could read his mind Jack spoke up again, shutting down any opportunity for more questions.
“Sleep. It’s late. I’ll remain here, then return you in the morning.”
“Fine.”
By the morning [name] woke up once more. His sweater was bundled up under his head, Jack’s sweater laid over him like a blanket. Jack laid curled up around him, pressing [name]’s back into his chest.
The fire Jack had lit was still burning. [name] was surprised it had lasted that long, given how windy the forest could get at night.
“Coal. Rather convenient for keeping a fire burning.”
[name] gasped, turning over to look at Jack, “How did you know I was awake?”
“Your breathing changed.”
[name] hummed, sitting up fully and shifting away from Jack.
“What happened to me catching hypothermia?”
“My body temperature plus the fire was enough to regulate yours. However, you should still get checked out.”
[name] sighed and stood up, stretching out his limbs. He picked up his sweater, slipping it on. Jack stood behind him placing his own sweater on top of [name]’s.
“Ready to go back now?”
“Yes. I think I have a clear head now, um…”
“Jack.”
“Jack. Thank you.”
“Of course, [name].”
“You know my name?”
Jack stood up from putting the fire out, tilting his head towards [name].
“I know a lot about you. Like how you're getting coal for Christmas.”
“What? But I haven’t done anything!”
“Hey, coal’s not a bad thing. It kept you alive didn’t it?”
[name] only stared at Jack, eventually sighing and walking over to Jack.
“At least give me a survival guide. Soften the wound, yeah?”
Jack huffed, picking up the sack of remaining coal from the ground. He held it out to [name], his tail twitching mischievously.

Chapter One - Strange Beginnings
???: We keep on making it worse. We knew this would hurt. But what’s it all worth? A small fleeting feeling?
***: It’s safe to say I was often blind. Some energies aren’t meant to be matched, but challenged. Why did I go through with it? Because we were young and dumb?
???: Somedays I couldn’t feel a thing. I wished everyone around me would drop dead. But it didn’t hurt like it does now.
***: I was so lost in the lust of it all. Lost to the idea that we’d escape and grow together. I kept on dreaming.
???: There’s nothing left but for me to go forward. I can’t linger on past pains. It’s not worth it. They’re not worth it.
***: I begrudgingly move past it. I’m stuck in reverse most of the time. But that keeps me going. They keep me going.
Aug 24, 20XX
Waking up on the first day of classes, I actually felt excited. Well until I remembered that ice breakers exist. I get why it’s done, but if I’m not going to be interacting with my classmates often then it’s a waste of time.
Communal bathrooms are hell. It felt like everyone was up at the same time, coming in and out. It felt odd to occupy the bathroom at the same time as 4 or more men. It’s not wrong but it feels wrong. Clearly I'd have to wake up earlier if I wanted to avoid the awkward crowd or get used to it.
I’m not getting used to it.
Why?
Because the guy next to me at the sinks thought if he stared at me through the mirror I wouldn't notice him. I’m surprised he managed to keep his shirt clear of toothpaste given his focus was clearly on me and not the action of brushing his teeth. I tried to ignore him but his presence was imposing. Tall, pale [why is that such a common trait here-], unblinking blue eyes that pierced right through you, long black hair held back by a pink headband with a bow. While that should've made him less intimidating it actually made me more afraid of him. It felt like he was purposefully trying to cover up his evil intentions and hide what he truly was.
But what really put me off about him was the scars in his face. Not to be rude or anything, but it’s not everyday you see an emo Joker. A thick, jagged line ran from the corner of his lips and all the way up his cheekbones. What’s worse is the fact that the cuts, while fully healed, seemed to be reopened just at the corners of his mouth and were bleeding.
Did someone do that to him? Did someone here do that to him? Did he do it himself? Whatever the backstory, they do not help his appearance.
…Damn. Now I feel bad. I sincerely apologize emo Joker. If you weren’t staring at me like a creep and being oddly terrifying I’d be writing about how kinda hot you were.
Also the fact that he just doesn't blink. I stared at him for a really long time. Not a single blink. That’s weird.
For whatever reason, he smiled at me when I stared back at him, but it was a really creepy and unsettling smile. It was also really gross because he had a mouth full of toothpaste and spit.
I didn’t look back at him after that. But he did huff at me. Like he wanted to laugh but chose to hold back.
I suddenly take back the apology.
Dear emo Joker,
You are a creep. Fuck you.
XOXO [name].

‘Never again.’ [name] thought as he made his way down the halls and back to his room. He glanced over his shoulder just to make sure he had escaped the strange man. Only to turn around and bump into someone else.
“Shit! Sorry.” He exclaimed, backing up.
The man in front of him seemed lost, before he blinked and held his hands up, “N-no. I’m… I’m s-sorry.”
Before anything else could be said the man scurried off, disappearing into the bathroom.
‘Ok then. Two strange interactions. And it hasn't even been an hour.’
[name] stared at himself in the mirror for a while, reciting affirmations and anything he could think of to mentally prepare himself to create art, or at least learn about it, at eight in the morning. Uncertainty pledged him as he gathered his backpack, keys and the holy beverage for mornings. Iced coffee.
‘Addiction, here I come.’
Exiting his room [name] began the semi long journey to the art building. And just his luck, freshman dorms were not only at the bottom of the hill. But they were also at the very back of campus.
And the art building? All the way in the front of campus.
‘Fuck my life. Why didn’t I bring headphones… How could I forget the second object that is keeping me alive. Now I have to think the whole walk. This is going to be the longest walk of my life. Fuck everything. I hope I tumble the whole way back down campus and hit a tree.’
[name] walked for what felt like forever, trying his hardest to keep his thoughts clear. He found his mind wandering back to the man from the bathroom. He couldn’t make up his mind on whether or not the guy was attractive, a psycho path, or both.
His mind then wandered to the guy he bumped into. Was he also just really lost in thought? Maybe tired? It was about six or seven in the morning. Was he not used to being up that early?
‘Better question. Why do I care so much? It was embarrassing for both of us. Let’s just move on.’
‘Holy hell I survived the walk. Worst raw dog of my life.’ [name] thought as he approached the double doors of the art building, dropping the now empty bottle from his iced coffee in the trash bin just outside. ‘Fine Arts. I fear I have a bad first impression on you…’
The building was divided into three sections. Music on the left, theater in the middle, and art on the right.
[name] checked his schedule and began the hunt for his classroom.
He thanked the gods that it wasn’t too hard to find his class. Taking a deep breath he attempted to enter; only to realize the door was locked. Double checking the classroom number [name] found he was in the right place. And he could see other students sitting inside. After a brief moment of confusion [name] spotted a card scanner.
'We need id to enter a classroom? What? Why?’
Sighing [name] reached into his wallet to pull out his id. Only to realize it wasn’t there.
‘What? No. God please no.’
Frantic, [name] began rummaging through his wallet and pockets. He even checked the inside of his phone case for safe measure.
‘Fuck my life! What did I do with it?!’
Dropping his backpack to the floor [name] crouched down and began searching; but the sound of a door opening caught his attention.
Looking up and down the hall he spotted someone making their way towards him.
‘Well this is embarrassing. He looks so refined and confident. Like he knows where he’s going. Then there’s me, who forgot the most important thing needed on campus. An id. Not only am I locked out of my dorm hall now, but I’m also locked out of class, and I can’t go to a dining hall. I also have no idea where the damn thing is. And I most definitely do not have the cash for another one. I could ask for help. No. He probably has his own class to get to…’
[name] focused back on the contents of his bag, praying he’d find his id somewhere.
“Up.” A male voice spoke suddenly.
[name] froze, slowly looking up from his bag.
For a moment he thought he was looking at the man from the bathroom. Intimidating blue eyes stared back at him as though they were looking straight at his soul. However these ones were more judgmental and calculating. Like he was picking apart and analyzing the current scenario. The man held out his hand, clearly expecting [name] to take it.
[name] stared for a moment longer before grabbing his bag and taking the man’s hand and allowing himself to be pulled up.
“Forgot your id? It happens. No one really expects to need it in order to enter a classroom.”
The man moved [name] out of the way and scanned his id, unlocking the door. He walked through and looked back at [name] silently motioning for him to follow.
“Uh, thanks.” [name] mumbled, following the man through.
“It happens. If you need to get into your dorm you should call the front desk. They tend to expect these things from freshmen.”
‘So he's older? Great first impression on an upperclassman. Who knows, maybe he’ll take me under his wing. The handsome and collected upperclassman, friend and brother to the freshmen.’
…
‘Yeah no. He’ll make fun of me to his friends later.’
The man led [name] to the back of the classroom and took a seat at a table, facing the windows.
The classroom was more of a work area, with various machines for things like wood working and other hands-on projects. One wall of the classroom was covered in shelves and closets full of various craft supplies. Chisels, sand paper, sketch books and graph paper, and much more.
The other end had a desk in front of a chalk board, stationed in between two large machines. The classroom was mostly empty, save for a few people scattered about random tables.
A hunched over figure with a messy mop of brown hair resting on the table by the door. A girl sketching something at the table across from him. Someone rummaging through their backpack. And another typing away at a laptop.
“Sit.”
The man at the table instructed, pointing at the seat next to him.
“Or do you intend to stand the entire class?”
[name] stopped looking around and glanced back at the man. For a moment he felt offended that he was being commanded like a dog. But instead he chose to listen. For now.
“Right, sorry.” He muttered, sitting next to the man, “So…what’s your name?”
“Helen.” The man replied, watching [name] intently.
[name]’s eyebrow rose in confusion. Had he heard wrong, or was this man’s name actually Helen.
‘Helen? That’s the name of some forty year old grandma next door who’s either racist or the sweetest woman you’ve ever met. Not an attractive well built gentleman with a side of snark.’
“Don’t question it.” Helen suddenly snapped, as if he knew exactly what [name] was thinking.
Or had he spoken out loud…
No. He probably just gets that sort of look every time he introduces himself.
“Sorry, sorry. It was just…unexpected.” [name] stammered apologetically. “My name’s [name].”
Helen only hummed in response. Eyes looking him up and down.
‘I really need to stop being an asshole about people’s names and appearances.’
[name] awkwardly stared back at Helen as the man analyzed him. Eventually he had muttered something, but before [name] could question the professor walked in and called for the class's attention.
He hadn't even noticed that the class room was now full, with at least four or five people at each table.
Including the guy from the bathroom. Including the guy from the bathroom.
Midway through the professor's introduction [name]’s eyes finally broke away from the chalk board to look at the man who was staring hard into the back of his head. Was something wrong with his hair? Did he have something on the back of his head?
[name] began to look around, trying to identify whoever had made it their personal goal to make him uncomfortable.
Or maybe they liked his hair. Or his clothes. Or-
‘Oh my god. No, it's emo Joker.’
[name]’s eyes met with the man. The man he had hoped he'd never see again. He sat at the table right next to the door. At the seat right next to the door.
Meaning if he wanted to leave the classroom, he’d have to walk past that creep.
‘Why the fuck is he staring so hard? What is his problem?’
[name] glanced over at Helen who was absentmindedly scribbling in the margins of his notebook. He occasionally stopped to take notes and then went back to scribbling.
He then glanced back at the man who was watching him. Who was now resting his chin in his hands, head tilted slightly to the side. This caused his hair to fall over his face, leaving only one eye visible. Wrapped around his left wrist was the pink headband with the bow.
‘You’re not beating the emo allegations my guy. Also, did you steal that headband from a little girl?.’ [name] thought as he glared at the strange man.
The man glanced at the person to his left. It was the same guy he had bumped into and who had previously been hunched over, face first on the table.
He grabbed something from them and began writing on his hand. He seemed lost in thought, as if he didn’t know what to write.
Eventually he looked back at [name] and turned his hand over, revealing what he had written.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
HI!
X3
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
In bold letters and a red sharpie he was saying hi with a silly emoticon.
‘What the fuck is wrong with this guy?’ [name] stared in bewilderment at the man who was now seemingly smiling at him. Or squinting really hard for some reason. He had a mask over his mouth and nose so it was hard to tell. ‘Maybe I misjudged him and he’s just a silly guy? Doesn't excuse him being creepy though.’
[name] turned around, mildly disturbed and weirded out by the man. Thankfully, however, the guy had finally stopped staring, putting his focus elsewhere.
‘Well that’s one way to get the attention of someone across the room…’
[name] sighed slightly, catching the attention of Helen who looked at him questioningly. [name] shook his head, not wanting to bother the man with what he hoped was his final interaction with the strange man, and put his focus back on the professor, hoping the class was almost over.
‘I’m so screwed. How the hell am I supposed to make 3D sculptures at eight in the fucking morning every other day. I can’t even think straight! Doesn't help that I have a weirdo who finds it amusing to stare at me.’
[name] grabbed his bag from the floor, throwing over his shoulder haphazardly. He noticed that Helen was already long gone. As if he had teleported or ran off. The only sign of him ever being there was his chair a few spaces away from the table and the classroom doors swinging shut.
‘He must have another class to get to. I just wish he could’ve taken me with him so I don’t have to encounter the Joker on my way out…’
As if the man could read [name]’s thoughts he appeared in front of him.
[name] flinched, taking a step back and clutching his shirt.
“Where the fuck!”
The man stood just as tall and imposing as he did in the bathroom. His head tilted ever so slightly to the right. The white, and slightly dirty, sweater he wore was halfway unzipped and falling off his shoulders; revealing a black tank top underneath.
‘Men in black tank tops…’ [name] thought as he stared back at the. ‘Wait- No! This guy's a weirdo…’
…
‘A hot weirdo.’
[name] shook his head, thinking back to Helen for a brief moment. If anyone in this class was hot it’d be him. His appearance was neat and refined. He wore his jacket on his shoulder properly. His bangs neatly framed his face. And his outfit was coordinated. This guy looked like he was doing a closet cosplay of the girl from The Ring.
The man lifted his arm and wiggled his fingers at [name], the red sharpie smudged slightly.
[name] stepped back, hoping to escape the situation as soon as possible he moved to walk past the man but was grabbed before he could get far.
“You didn’t say hi back.” His voice rasped, sounding slightly painful. His voice was oddly high pitched and cracked; as if he was forcing it.
‘So not only is he an emo Joker. He’s also a chain smoker.’
[name] looked back at the man and glared, swatting his hand away. He groaned loudly, not bothering to hide his annoyance.
“Hi. And goodbye.” He snapped, beginning to walk away, only to bump into the man from before.
Not bothering to apologize this time [name] simply moved around him and sped walked out of the classroom; two pairs of eyes following his every move.
‘Fuckin weirdo.’
Halfway through his walk [name] stopped short and turned around; glaring at the strange man who was starting to feel like a stalker.
However the man didn’t seem to pay him any mind. He seemed occupied with his phone and had wrinkled and dirty white wired earbuds in. But he did look up when [name] stopped, peaking at the man through his hair which had fallen over his face.
“What.”
“You're following me.”
[name]’s statement made the man look up completely. He then doubled over laughing, walking past [name] and shoulder checking him.
“I’m being serious!” [name] exclaimed, turning to follow behind the man.
The man stopped in his tracks and looked back at [name].
“Oh. Deadass?” He questioned with a head tilt, “Damn you're stupid.”
[name]’s eyes widened in disbelief, however before he could comment the man spoke again.
“We live in the same building idiot. We saw each other this morning, remember?” He walked back over to [name] and leaned down to his height, pocketing his phone and pulling his mask down, “Man. Didn't think you could forget a face like this.”
‘Right.’
“Oh trust me I haven't. Believe me I’ll be seeing that face in my nightmares.” [name] crossed his arms, deciding to play defensive, “You’ve got the face of some two thousand’s internet horror character.”
The man smiled, the scars in his face stretching and blood beginning to pool at the corners of his mouth, adding to his sinister look.
“Good.”
He whispered, voice dropping a few octaves. For a moment he sounded like a completely different person.
No rasp. No high pitch. No voice cracks.
Just a cold, empty, deep voice.
Like how you'd imagine a serial killer to sound when threatening a victim.
‘Or like a dom daddy yandere ceo mafia husband-’
And within seconds, that strange facade was gone and the man stood, giggling to himself as he repositioned his mask and walked away.
‘What the fuck just happened…?’

Aug 24, 20XX
After my 8am art class I get a break until 2pm. Then I have a writing composition class and after that, I’m done for the day.
Two classes in one day sounds like it’ll be a breeze but something tells me the real reason I have that much down time between classes is because of feature work loads. In fact, having that much free time actually concerns me.
Anyway I was actually kinda glad emo Joker decided to go back to the dorms, technically following me but I’ll let it slide, because I needed to get back inside. Which I couldn’t because my ID was in my room somewhere; which I did later find. He did take the chance to poke fun at me and call me dumb.
But I let it slide. This time.
I’m not too sure how to feel about this guy. Especially not after the voice drop.
Damn that voice drop.
But also, yikes. It was actually kind of terrifying.
That guy is terrifying.
I tell him he looks like a horror character and his response is good? The fucks that supposed to mean???
Is he messing with me? Or should I genuinely be cautious of this guy?
Maybe I should mention this to Helen. It'd be nice to have someone in my corner who knows their way around. He’d know what to do or who to tell about this…right?
If not, maybe he can at least provide support or something.
...
Who the fuck am I fooling, he'd make fun of me.
Anyway it was nice having the room to myself for a few hours. I genuinely hate existing in the same room and someone.
Like getting dressed. Sure, neither of us looked at each other or acknowledged the other’s presence but it was still awkward.
There’s just certain things that you do alone.
Like using the bathroom. I never used public bathrooms. Even in school I refused to.
There’s just something so wrong and weird about being in the bathroom at the same time as someone else.
But if I want to avoid people in the bathroom I’d have to get up at 5 instead of 6. I fear I need that extra hour of sleep.
Or not…
I could nap between classes.
For now.
Really I just want to avoid emo Joker as much as possible. At least in class I’ll have Helen next to me. And after I could take the long way or a detour when coming back to the dorm.
I just hope that is my only class I have with him.
‘You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me.’ [name] thought as he entered his next and last class of the day.
There he sat. The emo Joker. With that stupid note written on his palm.
[name] almost turned around and walked out of the class, hoping he had entered the wrong room. Unfortunately he triple checked the room number before entering.
Holding back a groan of annoyance [name] made his way to the opposite end of the class, by the windows.
He took his seat, placing his bag on the back of his chair, and hoped the strange, and slightly terrifying, man would leave him alone and stare at somebody else.
Like always, [name]’s wishes went unfulfilled.
However this time, there was someone else watching him.
Messy and unkempt dark brown hair. A pale complexion. Dull brown eyes and foggy pupils.
He’d seen this man before.
In 3D studio art he was hunched over the table, sitting next to emo Joker. [name] had run into him twice while attempting to escape from the definitely deranged man.
Why was he staring all of a sudden?
‘What is wrong with people here? Is it something in the air? The food and water? I know this place is low key haunted or cursed but come on. Why me?’
…
‘Nevermind. Of course it’s me.’
Now that [name] had the time he took in the man’s appearance. He wasn’t sure how he hadn’t noticed this before, but the man had a large bandage on the left side of his face; right at the corner of his mouth. He also had a black mask, but it was hanging off his right ear.
Like in art class, the man was hunched over his desk, his head just barely resting on it. As if he had taken notice of [name] and lifted his head up to get a better look.
[name] blinked slowly. Unsure how he felt about this guy.
He wasn’t visually as deranged or calculating. But there was still something slightly unsettling about him.
He was visually tense. As if holding back the urge to leap across the classroom at [name]. His teeth bit down into his lip, causing blood to begin trickling down his chin.
[name] held his gaze. Unsure what would happen to him if he looked away.
‘Obviously he’d jump me. Then it’d be game over… Wait a minute.’
[name] looked away from the man, focusing his gaze out the window. The classroom was mostly silent, save for the occasional shuffle or someone's nails tapping against their phone screen.
The silence was broken by a loud pop; likely from someone cracking their joints. However the sound was close by.
[name] whipped around to the direction of the sound, spotting the culprit.
The man at the desk next to him. Who was likely watching him in place of the other guy.
His head was tilted to the right, eyes still trained on [name]’s figure, watching him intently.
‘... Is he like, refusing to move if I look at him?’
Is what [name] thought when the man suddenly picked his head up and turned to face [name] completely. This was the first time [name] had seen him sitting upright, and it made him all the more unsettling.
‘I swear if he’s a mind reader…’
The man shook his head no, then turned towards the door as the professor walked in.
‘Holy shit he can hear me.’
Strangely enough, [name] went the rest of the class without being stared at. However, that only served to put him off even more. Instead he found himself glancing between the two men, curious as to what had made them stop staring.
Were they fucking around? Had they decided that they taunted him enough? Were they plotting something?
[name]’s focus was completely taken up by the two men, his thoughts spiraling out of control. He was so lost in thought he hadn’t even noticed that class was over and everyone was leaving.
Until he felt a tap on his shoulder.
He flinched, sitting up and looking around. His eyes eventually landed on a bleach stained black blue sweater. Looking up, [name]'s eyes met the dull brown ones of the man that was next to him.
The man’s hand hovered between them, the blood from his face having been wiped off by his sleeve, staining the bleached part red.
“C-class is….class is over.” He stammered, fingers twitching on his raised hand.
“I knew that.” [name] lied, not wanting to reveal that the two men had gotten in his head.
He quickly stood up and grabbed his things, attempting to avoid any other interactions.
“Hey why don’t I leave first so you can follow me this time! We can call it even?”
But he failed.
[name] stopped in his tracks, turning to glare at the man who had ran in front of him. He took a step back, only to bump into the other man who had appeared behind him; rendering him trapped between both men.
‘I almost don’t mind this… But these guys are weird. Still kinda...’
[name] tried to look around for an escape, but the classroom was empty, leaving just the three of them. To his right was a desk, leaving the left open. He could escape if he was fast enough.
‘No. This freak in front of me has long ass arms. He could easily grab me. And the one behind me is silent and fast. I always bump into him when trying to escape this emo Joker. He’s always there. They have me right where they want me. Fuck.’
The man in front of [name] grabbed his chin, forcing their eyes to meet.
“Hey now. No need to panic. I’m just being friendly.” He smiled, but his voice said otherwise.
[name] glared, placing his hands on the man’s chest and attempted to push away, “what the hell do you you fuckers want!”
“Nothing. Jeff’s…h-he’s..” The man behind him spoke, tripping over his words, “He’s weird!”
He eventually forced out, seeming more angry at himself than [name].
‘God. He would be a Jeff… It fits. Almost. Although, looks can be deceiving…’
Up close [name] could make out the scaring across Jeff’s face; or what of it was visible. He still dawned a mask and his hair fell into his face, but enough skin was visible for [name] to notice the burn scars as well as the heavy scarring at the top of his eyes.
“What’s the matter? Cat got yer tongue?” Jeff taunted, grabbing [name] by the lower half of his face, shaking his head, “Unlike you I don’t got all day.”
With a bit of struggle, [name] managed to pry Jeff’s hand off his face and shove the man away. He seemed caught off guard that [name] had managed to free himself, his face twisting into one of rage.
“Fuck off you emo Joker reject!” [name] snarled, making his way towards the door, "Seriously, get a grip. This shit won’t fly here for long."
With that [name] exited the classroom, breaking into a run and disappearing around a corner.
Or so he thought.
A man stood with his back against the wall, a lit cigarette held between his lips. He watched [name] take off in the direction of his dorm, eyes following until he was too far to see.
HIs phone buzzed in his pocket, prompting him to check it.

What. The. Fuck.
I get intentionally pinned between two men for the first time in my entire life, and one of them is a freak named Jeff.
Not even Jeffery. Or… Yeah no Jeffery is the best option.
But Jeff? A freak. Total freak.
Is it hot? Yes. Do I feel like this guy might molest me and leave my body mangled in the woods? Also yes.
Everyone I’ve met today is strange in some way.
Jeff is…well Jeff. His unnamed friend is unsettling, my art professor is a tad bit kooky, my composition professor is obsessed with Shakespeare, and Helen. Helen…
You know. I tried to sugarcoat it, or be ignorant. But sadly, even Helen isn’t normal. During the professor’s lecture I caught him scribbling in his notebook. I ignored it at first, trying to mind my own business. But at some point I looked back to see what he was drawing.
Skulls. Bones. And grey splatters of what I could only assume was meant to be blood.
He noticed I was watching him and angled himself so I could see better. We even made eye contact for a moment. And I swear he was smiling.
Maybe he was just proud of his work? They were surprisingly detailed for quick sketches.
…
Just how often does he draw things like this?
No. Now I’m just grasping at straws. Jeff is strange, deranged and probably insane. That other guy seems to be affiliated with him. Whatever it is, they work together. Whatever they want with me,
Maybe they're just horrible at making friends?
No. Yes. Maybe?
It’s only been a day. I have Wednesday and Friday to get a solid opinion on these guys. So for the sake of my mind, I won’t dwell on it.

Insignificant.
Worthless.

Error: Date not Found
Being the black sheep of a family isn’t fun. Everyone around you can do no wrong. But every little mistake you make is analyzed and criticized. Everything you do is wrong no matter how or what the intention was. Was I born a failure? Was I born to fail? Why was I born?
Everyone always asks: “What makes you an atheist?” Well, I’ll tell you. A crippling lack of faith. God’s plan? What plan? Why must one struggle and suffer at the hands of a deck they cannot alter? Why does a supposedly all powerful god get to pick and choose who lives, who dies, and who tells your story? Why must I pray and hope and wait for a gift I’ll never get? I mean, I’m not getting any younger here. Fate. It is a strange thing. But no one controls it. No one alters it. Fate is simply that. Fate. What misfortune, or fortune, the universe has dealt upon you. No one can control it. No one can change it. You can’t fight fate. There is no author, merely existence.
…
I may have gone on a tangent there. The point is, I don’t believe in divine intervention or a higher power. Life simply is. Nothing can affect it. You can try as you will and try as you might. But nothing can change how the stars choose to align. No one chooses to make you suffer. You just happen to be unlucky.
See, what started as a joke has slowly seeped its way into my beliefs. I have zero control over my life and what happens in it. But damn have I been through misfortune after misfortune. I can’t recall that last good thing that has happened to me outside of somehow getting into a private college. And honestly, that’s not even all that good.
Or cursed. Like I am.
My mother, as I reluctantly call her, is forcing me to go to some fancy college in the mountains of nowhere. It’s a private school. And when I say private, I mean private. Like nonexistent records private. Like gates and passcodes private. I can hardly find anything on this place besides an outdated website and a few articles about ghost stories and urban legends. And there’s really only one story. It’s just been retold and dug up a bunch of times because it's the most interesting thing there. The school itself is run and owned by a mysterious man with nothing but secrets. Nobody even knows his first name.
He is almost never seen. When he is, he is accompanied by two or more proxies, as he calls them. He is said to be tall. Slender. Expression blank and almost unmoving. It is said when he talks his voice is like that of a siren. It catches your attention, and most find themselves unable to look away or disagree. They say his beauty is unmatched. His skin is fair and pale as a vampire. His hair seems to float and sway, even with a lack of wind; and pitch black in color.
But his eyes stand out the most.
Bright red. Sharp. Alluring. Dangerous.
The proxies are unidentifiable, minus the shape of their bodies and the appearance of their hair. They are always seen wearing formal clothing and porcelain masks. The masks have different faces of makeup over blank eyes and pouting lips. It is said the masks crack and become dirtier, their expressions becoming visible through the cracks and eyeholes. Like deer in headlights or blood thirsty predators who have been spotted while stalking their prey. It's a rare sight to see the proxies this way. But they have been spotted at night in disheveled states and looking overall suspicious. However the next day, the masks return to their former state.
The town has had many instances of disappearances and unexplained gruesome deaths. However the people of the town can’t seem to leave. It is said that the entire town is cursed and haunted by some spirit or demon, trapping them all there and luring in new victims to keep the population growing. Anyone who tries to leave often winds up dead or in the hospital. The only people who get a rite of passage in and out of town are the students. They tend to go unharmed for the most part. But the dormitories still have their fair share of ghost stories.
How charming.
The school itself has a rather clean record, besides a few students and the proxies being accused of murders; and a couple victims being tied to the campus somehow. However all the cases were dropped shortly after.
A rumor was started that the principle is the creature behind it all. Others say he’s some sort of hunter and is protecting the students from whatever haunts the town.
Cursed town. Mountains and forest surrounding the town and school. Bloody murders and people going missing without a trace.
That’s where I’m going? Lovely.
Although…this could be my golden ticket out of my mother’s grasp. Get a job and move into the town without her knowing. I’m stuck there and if she gets in I’ll just befriend a murderer and have them kill her. Or sacrifice. Or kill me. Whichever works.
…
Yes. That was dark of me.
However I have been mentally, emotionally and physically abused and manipulated by this woman.
I don’t care that she carried me for 9 months and spent damn near an hour pushing me out.
She is a major bitch. And has done nothing but make me worse.
Let’s be real here. I’m crazy. This entry and the entries before and the entries to come are proof of that.
And who raised me into the person I am today?
Right.
…you know, sometimes I wonder who I am talking to when I write these.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
‘He ghosted me again. I spent hours waiting around. Waiting for a call or a text or something.’
[name] sighs, looking up at the sky. His phone rested in his left hand while his right held onto the chains of the swing. Slowly he swung back and forth, keeping low to the ground.
‘At what point do I accept the fact that…maybe he doesn't want to be friends anymore.’
Time seemed to slow to a stop. All was quiet.
Not a car drove by and everyone seemed to disappear.
The park and the area around it were empty, save for a slight buzz of static in his ears.
‘Just like my soul.’
‘Packing is a nightmare.’ [name] thought. He sat in the middle of his room, bags, suitcases, boxes, clothes and other objects surrounding him.
He fell into a cycle of folding clothes and putting them in bags; trying his best to remain organized.
Hours passed by of packing the most important things into bags or boxes first.
‘Do I leave this? Or take it with me… I might never need it. But I also might need it randomly one day.’
Eventually it seemed like everything [name] owned was packed away. His things sat in a corner, waiting to be taken out.
Normally moving out could be a sad thing.
For [name], it was the best thing to ever happen to him.
Months spent in his own room without his mother barging in to bother him. Peace and quiet from her nitpicking and belittling. No more younger sibling to scream in his ears or steal his stuff.
He’d finally get the space and freedom to be his own person.
He’d finally be free.
Except for the holidays and summer. But still, it was good enough for him.
Aug 19, 20XX
Move in day.
I’m unfortunately located in the basement of my dorm, meaning I will have to deal with upstairs neighbors. Great. Moving in took all day since it was just me. By the time I finished organizing and setting up it was almost 8pm.
My family finally decided to cast me aside and leave me on my own.
In fact the only reason I’m being sent to college is probably so my mother can have bragging rights against her friends and other family members. She wants me to follow in my father's footsteps and attend a secluded private school. Even though he left us. But honestly, I’d leave my mother too.
So I’ve been dropped off here.
Oh well. It was better this way. Less arguments. Less noise. And most importantly, no fake ass homewrecker who is way too desperate for the attention of an 18 year old and has been desperate since said 18 year old, cough cough me, has stopped showing fear and allowing himself to be bullied by his mother!
…
Who knows. Maybe I'll find peace here.
Huffing, [name] began to stack all his boxes, placing them inside one another. Opening his room door he pushed the boxes outside. A quick glance to the right revealed four people just outside the room. They stood against the nearby walls; chatting about something. [name] tilted his head slightly in confusion and was about to turn away when one of the four pushed themselves off the wall and held out a hand to him.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
???:
I’m Spike. Your roommate!
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
He smiled brightly. Too brightly.
“[name]…” He replied, awkwardly staring at the male’s hand.
Spike pulled his hand back and rubbed the back of his neck. His hair was a bright blue with a fluffy texture and like his name suggested he was covered in spikes. Piercings, bracelets, necklaces, belts, chains… Every accessory he wore had spikes on it. [name] was taken aback. He’d never actually seen someone with so many piercings and assumed it was a weird internet thing. He was surprised the male’s hair and clothes weren't also decked out in spikes.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Spike:
And this is my partner, Tyler!
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Spike grabbed a boy by the shoulders and dragged him forward. Tyler seemed to be the opposite of Spike. His hair was a red buzz cut and his piercings were small and circular. He had on a necklace with a ring attached to it. One quick glance at Spike confirmed that the two had matching rings.
[name] groaned internally; and not just because he was a hater, he actually quite liked their style. It was the fact that he only had one roommate. Spike.
There was nothing worse than being stuck in a room with an eccentric boyfriend who's been separated. All they did was wine about how much they missed the other and talk about how oh so great they are. Or they spend hours on the phone cooing and kissing at the screen. Or they get cocky and drag you into it. Forcing you to help them make decisions and a ton of other crap.
If the two weren't roommates it meant Tyler likely wasn't staying since you're able to pick your own roommate. Meaning he'd be somewhere else and unable to see Spike as often. This would only make things worse.
There goes the wishes of peace and quiet…
Jealousy was one hell of an emotion. And Hatred for extroverts…well. It was deeper than that.
Spike continued talking and introducing but [name] tuned him out. Choosing to analyze and rip apart Spike's personality from his choices.
Day one and he was already judging. He didn't want to assume the worst of people.... But Spike just gave off all the red flags of someone in a long distance relationship. He'd make it known and would not give a damn.
Plus. His voice? Kinda annoying. And he gave, "talks in a baby voice" vibes.
Not to judge a book by its cover. But [name] didn't exactly have the best luck.
[name] smiled as best he could once he noticed Spike had finished his rant, which he nodded along to convincingly, “Well. Nice to meet all of you.” He tried to sound as polite as possible. Maybe he read Spike wrong and the male wouldn't be anything like he thought. ‘If there was a god I would drop to my knees and pray so fucking hard.’ “Well if you don't mind…” [name] said, motioning to the boxes on the floor.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Spike:
Oh yeah! Want some help?
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“No thanks.” [name] shot down; maybe too instantly. Quickly he began pushing the stacked up boxes down the hall and towards the trash room he remembered passing earlier. As he traveled down the hall [name] could feel the stares of the four watching him. And he could’ve sworn he heard Spike whispering something. [name] could only hope it was his imagination.

And like always.
Everything goes downhill eventually.
So, recap:
My roommate is exactly the type of long distance boyfriend I thought he'd be. It's to the point of being extremely annoying. We also don't click. But he somehow made an entire friend group throughout orientation. Holy extrovert. Holy jealousy.
He’s invited at least 10 people to show off our room unexpectedly, he talks on the phone late hours of the night, including baby talk and kissing noises, and can't seem to remember to lock our door. Also owns a bright ass light that hurts. But that’s just a hater thing. Oh! Get this. I brought blackout curtains to hide away from the sun, like the vampire I am, and every morning the first thing he does is throw the curtains open. My eyes! My pale skin! The nerve. Also it’s not like he’s considerate enough to close the curtains whenever he leaves. Also despite being in the basement our dorm building is on a hill, so our window is at ground level. Yeah, now anyone who walks by can see me. He doesn’t seem to care but I sure do. I do not wish to be perceived in what should be the dark of my room. But I can’t bother to try and compromise with that airhead. He’d definitely be an ignorant little bitch. So I brought a tent and “built” a little cave under my bed. I spend all my time there now. Unfortunately it’s cramped and the airflow isn’t the best.
Also some minor but also not minor things have happened. I broke a nail so low I bled, and it hurts. My charger broke and I had to make a trek all the way to the top of the biggest hill, where a store for school supplies, merch and other crap is available, and buy an overpriced ass charger. My only friend, or ex friend now, has completely ghosted me. And anxiety has decided to reintroduce itself in the form of, “You will die alone. Miserable and bitter.” Oh I also just really don’t want to exist at the moment. It’s disheartening that I’m going into this alone and it will likely stay that way because day one and everyone came here in friend groups or made friends during orientation somehow. I can’t help but wonder where I went wrong in high school. I mean, what made all my friends decide to disappear the moment school ended. Were they ever really my friends…?
Anyway.
I got stuck with an 8am art class. Art. At 8 in the fucking morning. What the hell!? Also it's mandatory to take another language. That class is at 9am on a different day. Who's waking up to learn a completely foreign language!?
Orientation? Hell. Walking building to building and listening to lecture after lecture about slides that could have been an email. And why are there so many god damn stairs?!?!
And the welcome ceremony….
Something strange happened at the welcome ceremony…
The pillars.
An age-old school tradition where incoming freshmen and transfer students walk through the remains of the school's old building. The original campus had burned down, leaving only a few remains left. The two pillars came from the remains of the old main building, they’re the first thing that greets you upon entering campus.
The ceremony is mandatory. They take attendance after the last lecture of orientation, making sure every student on campus attends. Then the vice president guides the new students through the pillars after giving the welcome speech.
It seemed cool at first. But this year's ceremony was different. This time, the president himself gave the welcome speech. Like the stories told, his proxies shouldered him. They stood a little further behind, arms folded behind their backs, heads held high, posture straighter than a military solider or a christian homophobe. You couldn’t see their eyes through the masks, but you could feel their stare. They all wore a suite and tie, completely black and white, save for their bowties. Yellow. Beige. Brown. And red.
Suddenly I was afraid for the first time in a long while.
Their masks were stark white. The tallest with the yellow bowtie, his mask had a frown painted over the lips. The man next to him, his mask had fully painted lips. The third man’s mask had a toothy grin. And the female’s mask had smudged lips that made the mask’s mouth look like it was screaming.
[name] figured it had something to do with his mental health. There was nothing wrong with school traditional ceremonies that involved passing the “gates” to the future. And so what if the president and his proxies randomly decided to show face. Maybe something had changed? Maybe he wanted to try something new?
‘Oh who am I kidding. Given my track record it’s likely that a student died and now he’s trying to clear his name. He did mention that there was, “something special” with this generation of students, and how we were going to be a part of something much bigger and our future would be bright so long as the stars kept shining and the moon phases renewed. Yeah. Sounds like we’re all gonna die.’
There, just beyond them stood the president himself. Accompanied by his proxies of course.
The walk to the pillars wasn’t long, but there were so many students that it took a long time. Eventually [name] reached the end of the line. He took a shaky breath as he found himself in front of the pillars.
To [name] it felt like they were waiting for him. The president smiled and the proxies snapped to attention. The five stared at him intently, becoming him forward. The president held out a hand, staring directly into [name]’s eyes.
Slowly he stepped forward. The pillars loomed above him. The old red brick chipped and stained with age, weathering and damage from the fire.
His eyes remained locked with the president’s as he kept walking.
However the moment he passed through, the world around him changed with a crackle of static. His vision blurred, the colors fading together as the sharp sound pierced his ears. [name] closed his eyes, hands coming up to cover his ears.
Suddenly, everything stopped.
[name] was no longer on school grounds.
He was in the middle of the forest.
Gasping [name] turned around, coming face to face with the pillars he had just walked through although there seemed to be something different about them… He didn't dwell on it for too long as panic settled in. [name] attempted to run back, but nothing changed. He simply stood in between the pillars. Sill in the middle of the forest.
“What…no. No, no, no, no, no.” [name] panicked as he walked back and forth between the pillars. It felt as though he was touching an old tv screen; the hairs on his arms rising as static brushed past him. “Fuck.” [name] mumbled, taking a step back; panic settling in. After a few more minutes of frantically running around the pillars [name] stopped realization settling in that he wasn’t getting out the way he got in.
Taking in his surroundings [name] noticed a circle surrounding the pillars. In the middle was a pentagram he had never seen before. It was inverted and surrounded by the phases of the moon. The pentagram was burned into the foliage: black scorch marks indicating the burns were fresh.
However the new moon phase was still burning.
The trees around him were tall and thin, covered in an ashy gray and brown bark; a thick canopy of pine leaves blocking out most of the light. The heavy fog, settled low to the ground, contributed to the low light level in the strange forest.
‘Where the fuck am I?’
[name] frantically looked around, trying to figure out where he was. Nothing was recognizable besides the pillars; and even those had something off about them. He found his eyes lingering on the burning new moon. Something felt extremely wrong about it. The president himself was talking about phases of the moon, using them as a metaphor for new beginnings. He even claimed that tonight would be a new moon, and something about fate and the stars aligning. [name] finally stopped, facing the direction he was when he walked into this seemingly new dimension. Something was telling him to go forward into the forest. A force beckoning him into the fog.
With not much else to do he sighed and began walking forward.
The foliage crunched beneath [name]’s feet as he walked. He had to dodge sharp, low hanging branches and step over jagged rocks and fallen logs. It felt like the forest was reaching out to grab him. Besides that, the terrain was mostly flat and remained that way as he continued to walk.
[name] walked for what felt like hours. The forest seemed never ending, and he began to wonder if he’d ever make it home.
There was also the eerie feeling that something was following him. Lurking just a few paces behind and disappearing whenever he turned around.
The hairs on the back of his neck raised as caution rose within him. He felt as though he was going to die here.
Suddenly, something started running at him. The footsteps were heavy, kicking up dirt and leaves as they beelined it in his direction. [name] couldn’t tell where they were coming from. But he knew it wouldn’t end well if he found out. Looking around [name] found a large bush and threw himself into it. He crawled as far as he could, huddling up somewhere in the middle.
The thorns and branches stabbed and clawed at his skin, ripping into the fabric of his clothes, clawing at his skin. Through his adrenaline, [name] didn't even notice. His only focus was lowering his breathing and keeping as quiet as possible.
The forest was completely silent, and any sound he made could cost him his life. Although for a moment, it sounded like a good idea…
Shaking it off, [name] remained quiet, focusing out the sounds of his surroundings.
The running came to a stop and the forest was quiet once more, save for the slight sound of heavy breathing. Whatever, or whoever had run up on him wandered the area for a moment. After some time, they wandered off, and the forest stood still once more.
[name] remained hidden, fearful that whatever was following him was just beyond the leaves and thick woven branches concealing his figure. Once he was certain it had left, he pulled himself out of the bush; snatching a thick thorny branch on his way out.
[name] faced the direction he was previously heading. He almost continued forward until he noticed something.
On one of the trees a hand stuck out, wrapped tightly around the trunk of the tree.
[name] turned left and ran as far as he could before running out of breath. He held his new found weapon tightly, the thorns lodging themselves in his palm.
‘Hell no.’
After a few deep breaths, [name] stood straight and took in his surroundings. In the distance he could see a watchtower in a small clearing.
It felt like he was guided here. Like whoever was back there wanted him to find this.
‘I guess this is where I die. Or where the dream ends.’
[name] walked forward and came to a halt in front of the old watchtower. The rotting wood supports creaked as the tower seemed to sway in the slight wind.
‘That is definitely not safe to climb. But…I’m supposed to see this. Right?’
Despite how clearly unsafe the structure was [name] couldn't resist the urge to climb it. It felt like he had no other options. Like whoever he had run from would attack him and chase him back in this direction. With not much else of a choice he cautiously began making his way up the wooden steps, climbing higher and higher.
The wood practically screamed under his weight at every step. [name] could feel the wood beginning to warp and bend under his foot if he lingered in one spot for too long. Soon his careful climb came to an end and [name] reached the top. Now that he was up there he could definitely tell the watchtower was swaying slightly. It felt like it could come down at any moment.
The door to the watchtower was missing but a quick glance inside revealed that it was torn down by someone.
Or…
Something.
The wooden door had massive claw marks cut through it. The shattered chunks of wood littered the floor, along with shards of glass from the windows, which had been smashed. The frames, covered in similar claw marks.
‘What happened here…’
[name] cautiously stepped over the glass and wood, using his stick to shove some larger chunks out of the rubble out of his path, and making his way to the desk that sat along the entirety of the back wall. The desk was covered in various papers, all with something either written or printed onto them.
Before he could get a look at anything the wood groaned behind him. He quickly turned his head around, coming face to face with a dark figure. [name] shifted towards it, readying his stick, which likely wouldn't do much for him. He tried to make out the features of the figure but the world around him erupted with a heavy static and pain shot through his head. [name]’s hand came up to clutch the side of his head, groaning lowly as the static increased. Grunting he attempted to fight off the static clouding his vision and looked at the figure once more.
White face, black features, and a tan jacket.
“So you're what's been following me?” [name] slurred as his body began to sway. He held his stick out towards the man and shouted, “The fuck you want from me!? And where the hell am I!?” The man didn't respond and instead silently watched [name].
The two stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity, until the man suddenly charged forward as though whatever was holding him back had let go. After a brief moment of panic, [name] charged as well, attempting to stab the man with the stick.
The man grabbed at the stick, and while his reflexes were fast, [name] still managed to get a hit.
The stick impaled the man’s palm, sharp thorns ripping into the flesh. The man screamed in pain as he pushed the stick through, wrapping his hand around [name]’s.
[name] stared in horror, both impressed and disturbed. But one thought remained present in his mind.
‘I’m gonna regret that…’
The man grunted, shaking off his injury like it was nothing, and grabbing [name] by the neck pushing him onto the desk behind them. The desk creaked and began to bend with the men's shared weights pushing against each other. [name] gasped as his body faltered. He desperately attempted to push back but his body began to grow weaker as his headache increased.
“Answer me you bitch! What is this!?” [name] began to shout at the man. While he didn't get a response he caught the man's eyes for a brief moment through the static. He couldn't make out what the expression meant but the sharp eyes seemed to see right through him. [name] gave up struggling and let his limbs fall. His hand holding the stick trembled as he began to register the warm blood coating his hand and running down his arm. [name] gasped and his breathing began to increase, the rest of his body trembling.
The man loosened his grip on [name]’s neck and allowed the man’s body to fall completely on the desk. [name]’s head landed with a slight thud against the wood as he allowed his head to fall to the side. The man pulled the stick out of his palm with a grunt, shaking it off for a moment and then tossing the stick away. The man hovered over [name] and placed his cold, bloodied hand on his forehead.
“Soon.”
The man whispered. At least, [name] thought it was the man who whispered. The voice seemed unreal. It echoed throughout his head, sounding warped and demonic.
Before he could respond his vision became completely covered with static. It felt like his head had been split open with an axe. Just before his vision faded he caught sight of a paper on the desk; just underneath his head. The paper was a drawing of a circle with an X through it and some words that read, “No eyes. Always watching.” [name] blinked and looked up at the man once more before blacking out.
Gasping heavily he sat up abruptly; taking deep, rapid breaths and clutching his shirt.

Aug 23, 20XX
I woke up in my room after that. On my bed, wearing my pajamas as though nothing ever happened and it was just a dream.
But that was no dream.
The bloodied scrapes on my arms and legs, the splinters in my body, the dried blood running down my forehead and arm. The lingering headache and faint crackle of static.
It had to be real…
It was the middle of the night. I blanked out in the middle of the day. What happened to my body during that time frame.
I clearly remember orientation, the president and his speech, and the pillars.
I remember how the proxies snapped to attention when I walked up.
And most importantly.
I remember the pain from that…“dream”
Whatever that was. It was real. But… later I found myself unable to remember any of it. This journal is the only recollection I have of today.
…Seems the cycle still continues. NO matter how far I run. I cannot escape this curse.
While I have been writing for quite some time I am probably not good at it.
But enough about me. Onto the story.
This story will:
• Take inspiration from various creepypasta fanfics and Slenderverse series
• Contain a mix of realistic and unrealistic interpretations [AKA Fanon and Canon]
• Feature my personal take on the Slendermansion au [silly found family but it's hella toxic and manipulative but somehow still better than life previously]
• Feature Masky and Hoody as proxies. Yes I know they aren't actually. But that's no fun.
• Contain multiple choices, routes, and an affection system. Achievemens will be used to keep track of these.
This entire story will contain fucked up moments. Hell, this whole story is fucked up shit coveredin fluff and disguised as love [don't worry. it becomes real love eventually. dosen’t make it any less toxic tho-]. Most chapters won't have a warning unless it's a smut chapter or something extreme.
After rereading and attempting to edit this story I realized that the original was unsalvageable and thus has been scrapped for spare parts.
I have acquired some better resources and have drafted up proper outlines to help tell/pace this story better.
Hopefully I'll be able to make a consistent upload schedule now that I have an outline of key moments.
This rewrite consists of new content as well as some parts for the old version that are either exactly the same or changed ever so slightly; as well as one new feature: Achievements.
Achievements will be used to replace the attraction system I was originally going to use, in order to keep track of characters you are romancing. I find it easier to make a checklist of the achievements instead of using a number system.
They're also a fun little thing to keep track of the more important events in the story.
I gift you all the first two chapters of this rewrite as well as a Christmas special chapter, which will be posted in a few days.
I rewrote the introduction & warning chapter [not much has changed although warnings have been moved to tags since that chapter only existed because I was too lazy to tag the original. but I have standards now.]
Minor spelling and punctuation tweaks from random chapters
Minor formatting tweets and fixes
This story is now officially up on Wattpad, Tumblr and AO3! [links are in bio]. The AO3 version is currently image-less. I have no idea how the hell that shit works and I'm too sick to try and figure it out rn. Eventually I'll change it.
Added two new achievements to chapter zero
Added three new achievements to chapter one
Added two new images to chapter one. One for the Lecture Hall and one for Fine Arts
